Customer reviews

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mr Miller

Stunning location certainly more comfortable with new furnishings. Walks fantastic, views from conservatory epic would recommend this property to all especially if you have 4 legged friend perfect.

Mrs Green

Bossiney view is a 10+ The location is superb and stunning views. Very quiet area. The accommodation is clean, comfy and you feel very at home. Would highly recommend and we hope to return next year.

Mr Lewis

Website clear & easy to use.

Mrs Hodkinson

Fabulous views and parking for 2 cars! A very relaxing stay and lots of good coastal path walks from the door.

Mrs Ward

Fantastic views. Very quiet and relaxing. Everything you need for a great stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Mrs Dobell

A very comfortable cottage with wonderful views and some excellent walks very near by.

Mr Gardiner

Bossiney View is in a great location in a pretty part of the village. The costal path is just a short walk away and Tintagel town not much further. The property was very clean on arrival and suited our party of 2 adults, 3 teens and 2 dogs perfectly. The view from the conservatory is fantastic. Overall a very relaxing place to stay.

Mrs Tyrrell

Miss Deverill

The location of this property for walking is amazing you can be on the coast path within minutes. The view from the conservatory is beautiful and we spent most of our days sat out there. The property overall was great and the rooms were lovely and clean. The bathroom needed a little TLC and a lick of paint on the ceiling from slight mould damage. I would happily stay there again, very family friendly.

Mr Petrou

Bossiney View is a lovely cottage, the owner has made some good improvements since our last visit in 2022. Overall it’s a very comfortable cottage, still I feel it lacks a bit of a personal touch. The information details within the cottage is out of date and could do with updating, along with putting in a comments book. The views from the rear are amazing, very relaxing. Any small dogs owners need to be aware, there is a hole or gap behind parts of the bedding, so the garden is not 100% contained.

Ms Harding

Bossiney is well placed for Tintagel & Bossiney View is perfect for the bus stop and walks, with a stunning view. Being there contributed to an excellent holiday.

Mrs Haggerty

Amazing view from conservatory and new furniture and soft furnishings have brought the property up to date now. Our second visit here and had a great time. Only negative thing would be heating didn’t work so couple of days house was cold when rained.

Mr Tofis

Lovely place in a great location that we would happily return. Only downside is the garden is not fully secured if you have dogs. Also the blind is missing from the kitchen window which faces the main road through Bossiney. Overall, recommended!

Mr BROWNE

Stunning views and excellent location, home has everything you need.

Mr Abberley

Perfectly described and for those wishing for a peaceful away from it all location. Lovely west facing view from the conservatory to just sit and chill out watching a perfect sunset. 2 minutes walk to the coast path and close enough for a steady stroll into the village. Wonderful.

Mrs Beard

We loved this cottage and would definitely stay again. It was a lovely cottage, nicely spaced out inside for my Dad who needs level floors and uses a walking frame. It has a large conservatory with gorgeous views over the sea and coast, where we spent most of our time. It had a massive TV to keep my Dad happy, grassy garden for the dog and brilliant Internet to keep the kids happy. Access to the coast path was the other side of the next door cottage and it was only about 15 minutes walk down the road/pavement to get to tintagel with lots of shops and pubs/cafes. The main road was only a short drive away so great access to the B3263 and A39. We had a really lovely holiday there.

Mr Lewis

Excellent, clear & truthful descriptions & pictures

Mr Miller

We had a great holiday, yes the property is slightly dated, however the kitchen was adequate with all the appliances in good working order. We found sitting in the lounge on a stormy night with the fire on, sat in the old school sofa it's was so cosy and comfortable, and so warm. The view was stunning from the conservatory. Coastal walks fantastic 30 seconds from property, breath taking. The enclosed garden is brilliant for dogs. 100 % We will return to the property. No issues at all with the cleanliness of the property.

Mrs West

Great property, comfortable although dated but still nice, fabulous view. Washing machine broke during are stay but brilliant with replacement. Sadly property let down badly by cleanliness and simple essentials.

Miss Mansell

The positives about this cottage are; the beautiful view. It is outstanding. The conservatory is lovely. It has to be the best feature of this property. I can see why most people would spend all their time there. The TV is big and great to watch. The location is okay, within easy reach of Tintagel and Boscastle but these places have sadly gone down hill since the pandemic. I wish there were more positives. The negatives about this cottage are; it was freezing when we arrived. We struggled to work out the heating. We did in the end but it should have been warm when we arrived and we had to leave the cottage for it to warm up. The huge 5G tower spoils where this cottage is located. The access to the coastal path is not from the front door, you walk towards a small car park and then towards the coast. The shower splashes everywhere, so I would recommend putting towels on the floor. There was no soap or enough washing up liquid (I think these things count). The garden is contained but very small. The driveway is a nuisance if you have a car that is bigger than a mini! Maybe Im not good with spatial awareness but to get out was hard work and there needs to be a mirror on the road so you can see if anything is coming. There is something about this property that is lacking that I can't quite put my finger on. It is dated in some areas but it just doesn't feel cosy, or cared for properly. The kettle does have rust in it, and much of the property could do with an upgrade or at least a sprinkling of love. As we have used Classic Cottages for a number of years now, I would not recommend this property based on all the above. My opinion of course.

Mrs Turner

We have a split opinion about this cottage, which seems to mirror several other reviews going back over the last year or so. The plus points - the location is fabulous - nice and quiet, really great view from the conservatory over the headland and out to sea. We found it very relaxing sitting in the conservatory and spent most of our time in the cottage sat there admiring the view and watching the cows! There is almost direct access to the coast path with an abundance of walks from the cottage - it's a stunning stretch of coast line and we didn't need to use the car much. The local tea/coffee/biscuits that were provided was a lovely touch and this was most appreciated, thank you. On the down side, the cottage is VERY dated. It really needs some money spent on it to bring it up to modern day standards. The simple addition of a dishwasher, replacement flooring throughout (ideally laminate/amtico for hygiene and cleanliness) and more modern curtains etc. would transform the place. Overall cleaning standards were not great, the bath had a film of scum around the edge and there were a lot of cobwebs in corners and around light fittings etc. Also attention to detail seemed a bit lacking lots of very old leaflets going back 5 years or more, similarly the visitors book ran out 5 years ago, mould on the bathroom blind, very dirty venetian blind in the kitchen, etc. etc. It's such a shame because this place could be fabulous, but as it is, although we loved the area and will certainly return, it will not be to Bossiney View.

Mrs Haggerty

We had a great holiday, views are amazing and very close to Tintagel so our teenage girls could go off on their own. Great walks and lots to do in the local area so did not use the car very much. Dog loved the morning walk in the "cow field" and one evening the cows came up to the garden wall.

Ms Seaward

Everything about the property came up to a high standard and we would book again if we were holidaying in this area.

Mr McGibbon

Although it rained most of our stay in Bossiney View ,we had a wonderful two weeks. The bungalow is very cosy and warm ,the conservatory is one of the best things about it being able to see the cows in the field and watching the sea change colour before your eyes was great We hope to be back in September 2022. Many thanks.

Mrs Green

Good location between tintagel and boscastle and near to coast path. Lovely conservatory with stunning view. Could do with some updating.

Mrs Wyper

The views are spectacular

Mrs Carpenter

Nice property beautiful views made even better by the weather. We had a great stay .

Mr Coupland

Property and location very good

Mr Neubert

We are a little split with our opinion. The house and its location and especially the view are simply magnificent. But as Mrs. Hudd already remarked in August, the cleanliness of the house is not really good. And apparently not much has improved since August. The house is in desperate need of a deep clean - there are lots of cobwebs and old dirt all over the house. Also, various items in the kitchen are not really usable. For example, the inside of the kettle is full of rust. In the completely scratched frying pans there are remains of countless previous visitors. Every piece of cutlery and crockery that was taken out of the cupboard had to be washed before it could be used, because it was not really clean. The flush in the toilet should be repaired urgently because it does not work properly. We couldn't use the bath mat because it was full of black mould stains. It is a pity, because the flat is really very nice and you can spend a wonderful holiday there.

Mrs Hudd

A damn good clean would be nice. Needs updating.

Mrs Parker

Fantastic base to explore Cornwall, comfortable bungalow with stunning views

Mr Smith

Similar to previous reviews, there are positive and negative aspects to this property. The location is great, lovely views from the conservatory, and a peaceful location which is not remote. The property is however very dated and not particularly comfortable, the lounge seating and beds for example. Additionally there were some functional and cleanliness issues, and a lack of care e.g. no arrival instructions, old magazines, guides etc. scattered about. Classic customer services were prompt and excellent in providing some replacement items, and offering to send the cleaner back. In all, would only go back after a significant refurbishment.

Mr Vine

A well presented bungalow in a fantastic location. Only a 10 minute walk into Tintagel, and close to the coastal path. Fantastic views from the conservatory, lounge and dining room. It had everything we needed for a 9 night stay. I stayed with my partner and our little dog and he loved it too! Easy access to the many stunning locations along the North Cornwall Coast. We will be returning here for sure. Thank you.

Mrs Copley

very satisfactory and comfortable with good sea views clean and warm

Miss Gadsby

Wonderful view from the conservatory and we enjoyed our evenings in garden which was enclosed and perfect for us all, including the dogs!

Mrs Bentley

Great location with private gated driveway and secure rear garden for our dog, Lovely sea view (sea mist permitting). Comfortable beds, but rooms would benefit from overall freshening up of decor and furniture upgrade.

Mrs Ellis

Just love this property, wonderful location, brilliant walks, beautiful views & peaceful hamlet ..... dog friendly too, just awesome. Thank You so much, it was our second stay at Bossiney View & we hope to return soon.

Miss Smith

Perfect Location Perfect Views Perfect place to relax

Mr Palmer

Wonderful location, private secure rear garden with exceptional sea views, beautiful at sun set. Easily accessible off road parking, secure front gate and secured walled garden at the rear is a real bonus for pet owners. Clean and tidy upon arrival, just what you need when you want to unwind and enjoy your holiday. Thank you so much, we had a great time.

Mrs Farr

Liked Garden, views, walks. 15 mins walk to Tintagel village. Great little bus service not far from property. We do like this property and have booked again for next year.

Mr Watkins

Excellent location, plenty of space to relax and spread out. Perfect location for taking the dog for a quick walk and in easy reach of some great beaches. Great view from the conservatory. Would love to come back at some time.

Mr Bennett

My wife & I and Sister in Law & her husband had a fantastic week at the cottage celebrating Mother in Laws 86th birthday. With the cottage being on one level & being able to park right outside the front door it was the ideal situation. The views from the conservatory were lovely, looking across the fields to the cliffs & sea. The garden was perfect for the dogs, fully enclosed so they were able to come & go from the house when they pleased. The cottage was well equipped and spacious & in a perfect location for us to walk off to explore the beautiful area.

Mr Towle

Everything was as expected good location for our needs . Equipment and General accomadation spot on ! Fully recommend Bossiney View

Miss Guyon

Amazing stay and amazing view. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the cows running around in the field. We wanted a relaxing Christmas getaway and the cottage gave us just that. It was warm and cozy, and very clean. Not to mention, it has a fully equipped kitchen. Will definitely be back! PS. Thank you for the Christmas tree! That was a great touch.

Mrs Fines

We had a really lovely time here. The property is very nice, tidy, well organised and the conservatory is where we spent most of our waking time when in the house which we loved. 3.5 / 5 grading. Comfortable mattress, good sized fridge / freezer would take it to 4, dishwasher too 4.5/5.

Mr Shearn

Maybe keep some old but useable bikes (ie a second or more) in the garage?

Mr Witting

The view was wonderful and we liked the cows in front of us, very relaxing. Wonderful nature just on the doorstep. The beach just below was stunning. A lot of things to see and do nearby. Very quiet at night, we slept well. We had a wonderful time!

Mrs Foley

Such a beautiful cottage, have stayed there once before, the surroundings are just beautiful! It's so quiet, only a short walk to the beach, and about 15 minutes walk to the shops and pubs. It has everything you need, it's just like being back at home! Loved it so much we have booked again for next year!

Bossiney View is in an ideal location with views across the headland to the sea. It has a nice enclosed back grass garden with small area to sit on and savour the view. The house is very cosy with a good layout, three double bedrooms with tv, one bathroom and a separate loo. Good sized kitchen and through to dining room and lounge, which can be closed off. Sarah the house keeper at hand if you need her to be who was most helpful. You can walk from this property straight out of the door and most days our car stayed put in the drive. Lovely clean house, would definitely recommend.

Mr Clements

Everything was fine and I should be happy to visit again My only nit-pick would be the absence of books. Other people's bookshelves are generally a source of interest!

Mr Lightowler

Ideal for cliff walking local pubs and visiting local places. Fully recommendable. The views from the cottage are breathtaking.
