We had a lovely stay. The cottage was comforable, clean and exactly what we hoped for when we booked. Our host was helpful and available if we needed anything.Very happy to recommend this cottage, especially if you are looking for peace and relaxation.
Mrs Spears
Lovely cottage very peaceful and relaxing. The owner was very friendly. Highly recommended.
Mrs Neary
This is a cute cottage and very dog friendly. It is our second visit to this property. The island is beautiful and I am sure we will return.
Mrs Upton
A pleasant stay in this cosy warm cottage . Wonderful to have adequate parking .Close to Yarmouth which is charming .
Mrs Hill
The property was nice and well presented. Unfortunately there was a wasps nest in the tree directly opposite our gate. We were lucky with the hot weather but with no fans in the property we resorted go going and buying some as opening the windows led to wasps entering the property. The bed was uncomfortable but clean. We were bitten several times but no markings on the sheet so do not believe it was bedbugs but possibly midges within the property. We were looking forward to meeting the pigs but there were none at the property unless we couldn't spot them, we did take a wander round the farm as our daughter loves animals. The information provided in the clear wallet on the shelf as you walk in the door needs updating.
Mrs Ward
This is a lovely cottage in a lovely location. Extremely comfortable.
Mr Wilcox
A lovely cottage in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The owners are exceptional in their friendly welcome and willingness to help and support your stay. Highly recommended.
Ms Lynch
Lovely cottage for our stay. Cosy and very comfortable. Perfect situation so we were central to everywhere we wanted to go. Would definitely recommend! It ticked all our boxes, would definitely go back!
Mr Wilcox
A lovely spacious and well equipped cottage in a quiet rural setting.
Mrs Neary
This was a lovely property run by a lovely couple. It is quite remote so a car is essential, but things are not a great distance away. The island is beautiful and we can’t wait for a return visit.
Ms Hassan
Had a lovely stay with my 2 dogs. So peaceful and quiet. Hosts very accommodating. Would definitely stay again
Mrs Seaman
Fantastic location in a lovely quiet village very close to Yarmouth. Lovely dog walks from the door and very near by. Local beaches which are dog friendly were excellent and allowed us to teach our pup to swim. This was a very doggy friendly cottage which suited us perfectly. The owners Mike and Heather were lovely and Heather spent 2 evening with us teaching our 10 month old Weimeranar how to start doing agility and Hoopers which was great fun. Heather went above and beyond with her time and we really enjoyed her company. The set up on their farm is excellent for dog walking with paddocks and a dog section cut around the small paddocks . The cottage is very well equipped and a great place to relax after a day out. We will definitely be returning.
Mrs Ashman
Very pleasent cottage, made welcome by owners. Went to most places on the Island but nice to come back to peace & quiet.
Mrs Osborne
Good location. Rural setting for a relaxing stay.
Mrs Hughes
Basic, tired and we wouldn’t stay again.
Mrs Betson
Great little 2 bed cottage, absolutely perfect for a couple or small family (or even a group of mates looking for a quiet get away). The property is on a small farm (no longer a working farm) but does have a pig, geese, chickens and even a dog agility course in the grounds! It's incredibly peaceful, located in the heart of the countryside just outside of Yarmouth. We had a wonderful stay, using it as a base to explore the Island. Tip: if you're planning on doing any cooking, it has a great supply of utensils etc but things like condiments, salt and pepper, tea and coffee is not provided.
Miss Collicutt
Great cottage for a few days away & perfectly placed to visit all the main attractions on the island. The garden terrace was the perfect sun trap for enjoying breakfast al fresco or an evening glass of wine. Very quiet location and the cottage has everything you need for a break away from it all. Would certainly book again. Many thanks
Mr Attrill
A quiet location with easy access to other island areas
Mrs Fresson
A sweet little cottage, situated on a non working farm. Loads of grounds to run around in, two pigs to visit plus geese, chickens and very friendly cats. About 5 mins from Yarmouth and within walking distance from llama farm. We had a few problems when we arrived with items missing and dirty linen, but these were sorted by the owners and island team. Some maintenance is needed, particularly in the bathroom but with a days work could all be sorted. Beds comfy, bedrooms small and hard to open doors fully as beds in the way but didn't worry us. Living area lovely and light, comfortable chairs and kitchen was fine for us. Courtyard could do with a little tlc and strange only two chairs when cottage sleeps four - but it is a suntrap. All in all loved our short stay there and would be happy to return - with some mosquito repellent.
Mrs Enge
Very dog-friendly accommodation, perfectly located for exploring the west of the Isle of Wight.
Mr Sherwood
A lovely place to visit and fantastic if you have dogs. Great beach access and a nice quiet location. Shame about the kitchen and mattresses. The owners were lovely.
Ms Robbins
We were absolutely delighted with Orchard Cottage Wellow. The location was great, very peaceful and relaxing. The owners were lovely, very kind and helpful, but unobtrusive. The accommodation was modern inside but still very characterful, very clean and comfortable. I would recommend This property without hesitation.
Mrs Hart
We had a wonderful Oct half term stay at Orchard cottage despite the weather being dreadful! The property was cosy and had all the amenities required. The owners were friendly and welcoming and the farm animals (which we were allowed to pet) created an added bonus. We would highly recommend this good value for money accommodation to families with young to primary school aged children (and older if animal lovers)
Mrs Cakebread
Best holiday I have had in a while, the owners went above and beyond in their service to accommodate myself and my family to ensure our stay was enjoyable. I would recommend this place highly and would love to stay again!
Mr Borrey
A perfect retreat for a couple with children and a dog.Very peaceful and relaxing but still well situated for the coast and other facilities. Highly recommended.
Mr Ford
The smaller cottage main bedroom is very small - so much so that it has only one small wardrobe and you cannot open the door fully because the bed is in the way. We were lucky with the weather, but if you had a rainy day and kids the owners could probably do with clearing up the large barn so that the table tennis, trampoline and snooker table could be used maybe ? Despite this, we enjoyed our stayed very much. NB: the two pigs love it if you give them a good scratch in the mornings !
Mrs Fraser
Excellent location many walks close by, with buses passing which we used and walked back to base, very peaceful dog friendly place. Cottage interior decorated to a high standard, kitchen well equiped.

Mrs De Regt
Found several hair accessories and socks under the beds. Beds are really uncomfortable and the toilet doesn’t always flush properly. If you’re bringing a dog the grounds however, are excellent with regards to the agility course and several public paths all in close distance.
Mrs Lewis
A lovely cottage in a quiet and peaceful location. Ideal for a relaxing break.
Miss Simmons
The cottages are perfect for your dog or dogs, lovely grounds and an agility field/barn, the gardens are safe and you can relax letting your dogs out. Everywhere we went the dogs were welcome in the IoW.
Mrs Palmer
Perhaps dog exercising area which we found very useful and very friendly owners on site.
Mrs Beasley
Poor housekeeping and the whole cottage needs updating. The washer/dryer is actually only a washer with nowhere to hang washing to dry. There is a big hole in the corner of the bath panel, and the bathroom is carpeted which gets soaked when having a shower. The games room is now a dumping ground for the owners and not accessible to guests. There are no instructions for any of the appliances.
