Modwena
This gorgeous three bedroom cottage is in the picturesque town of Yarmouth just a few minutes' walk from the village centre and historic pier. Located on the west coast of the Island, the town is named for its location at the mouth of the small Western Yar river. With many boutique shops, cafes and restaurants to choose from, Modwena is the perfect cottage to enjoy a well-earned break in this charming setting.
The ground floor has all the charm of a traditional cottage with beautiful furnishings for ultimate comfort. There are two sitting-rooms, ideal for everyone to have their own space. Only one of the sitting-rooms has a television so the kids can watch a film in peace and quiet! The open plan layout of the kitchen/dining-room makes the cottage light and spacious with bi-folding doors from the dining-area to the enclosed patio. The sleek and modern kitchen will make cooking a dream, you just need to choose to dine inside or out. With a Mediterranean feel to the patio area you can make the most of the Island sunshine with a morning coffee or pre-dinner glass of wine. In Yarmouth you can pay for parking on a daily (24 hour period) or weekly basis using an app on your phone or by paying at the meters on site.
All three bedrooms are on the first floor, the staircase is steep so care must be taken at all times. There are two doubles and a twin bedroom; each one very tastefully decorated and one of the doubles has a television. The family bathroom on this floor has a bath and separate shower cubicle, you will definitely want to relax in a bubble bath after a wonderful day exploring the Island.

Well equipped, clean and comfortable property. Ideal location for walking into Yarmouth. Stayed as a family with lots of room. Would highly recommend. Plenty of parking about 300metres from the house.

pARKING IS A BIT OF AN ISSUE BUT ACCEPTABLE FOR THE BENEFIT OF BEING IN A TOWN.

Beautiful cottage, it is situated in a lovely little town with lots of lovely restaurants to eat in, some of the food was amazing. Also close to lots of other amenities. We will definitely be going back.

The cottage was everything I had hoped for half term with my son his wife and my two young grandchildren 4 and 10 months. It was a lovely cottage, well decorated and very comfortable. Lovely soft furnishings and well equipped - lovely to have the log fires as the weather was pretty awful all week, cottage was so cosy - excellent bedrooms and bathroom - perfect. We had one or two issues on the first couple of days but have to say that the Island Team were so helpful, nothing seemed to be a problem and resolved all issues quickly. I was extremely happy with the experience of booking with Classic Cottages, everyone I spoke to were very helpful - from changing ferry times to getting the handyman to hammer in a floor board nail (10 month baby loving crawling on the floor) - Excellent service.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautifully presented cottage. The location was great, extremely close to Yarmouth Harbour and the ferry from Lymington. 5 minutes walk from some lovely restaurants - On The Rocks, Off The Rails, Cucina, Gossips Cafe and The Terrace were all fantastic. Brilliant convenience store (Harvey’s) was just a couple of minutes walk away and provided everything we needed, plus some lovely little gift shops, post office, bakery, deli etc. Beautiful sunsets from Yarmouth Pier, very nice coastal walks, and great crabbing locations nearby. Only downside was being right on a main road with a very narrow pavement outside, but traffic noise inside the property was minimal. There is a big carpark a couple of mins walk from the cottage or resident parking bays up the road (permits were provided for us) although spaces very limited! We were lucky most days though and managed to find a space. Overall a very comfortable stay, we really felt at home here and hope to return next year. Thank you Modwena!
