Reviews

Just a few minutes from idyllic Seagrove Bay, Saye House has been stylishly renovated to a high standard offering a wonderful place to enjoy a well-earned rest on the Isle of Wight. Situated on Gully Road which winds its way down to the sea; from here, tide permitting, you can walk along the water's edge to Seaview village in approximately 15 minutes.

Take a walk away from the village and you will find Priory Bay, which many would argue, is one of the Island's best beaches. The bay is surrounded by Priory Woods, owned by the National Trust, with white sands and clear waters, it is truly a magical spot.

Seaview is full of life in the summer months with some highly regarded places to eat out. You won't tire of the panoramic sea views whilst you take a spot in the outdoor seating area of the Seaview Hotel sampling the crab ramekin. Seaview beach itself is quite rocky making it perfect for crabbing and rock pooling, whilst Seagrove Bay is sandy and has shallow waters for swimming, you have the best of both worlds.

For those who like messing around in boats the Seaview yacht club is an integral part of the village, it hosts the Seaview regatta in the summer with plenty of activities to try both on land and sea. The Island is a walker's delight with many coastal paths to follow and some wonderful beaches to discover, many with beach cafes, perfect for a spot of lunch.

Mrs Barrett

Saye house was the perfect luxury family home for our three generation holiday. The facilities were excellent and the location, just a five minute walk down to Seagrove Bay, was ideal. We cannot wait to return.

Mrs Tomlinson

An extremely spacious and comfortable property, beautifully furnished and well equipped. Peaceful location, close to the sea and convenient for ferry.

Mrs Addington

We were very lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time in the good sized garden. We found the bedrooms were all very comfortable and a good size. The house is well positioned for a lovely quiet beach with a nice coffee cart that is often there. The excellent welcome pack was very much appreciated after a long journey.

Mrs Sommer

This is a comfortable house with a lovely backyard area for children and/or dogs. The interior provides enough space for a family. All bedrooms are a good size and have their own bathrooms in addition to the shower/toilet area on the lower level which is a bonus. The kitchen could be a bit better equipped but offers the basics for cooking/dining. The locations is excellent as you are 200m from a beautiful wide beach which affords the opportunity for long walks and the ability to stop at various coffee places and pubs along the way. It is wonderfully dog friendly as is much of the island which is a plus when bringing your four legged friend(s).

Mrs Craven

Excellent accommodation for a lot of people - and one small dog!! Really well stocked kitchen and all the cleaning products provided. Great quality of all equipment provided. Washing machine and dryer were great. Excellent WiFi and the tv fire stick was handy. Exactly what you need for a self catered holiday.

Mr Hood

A lovely stay in a beautiful part of the Island. the house had everything we - two families of 4, including 4 teenage kids and 2 small/mid size dogs - needed. short walk to Seagrove, easy to lug the paddleboards up and down. the house had everything we needed and provided the launchpad to a great week of exploring. would highly recommend.

Mrs Greig

A lovely home, ideal for families: there were a lot of toys, games, jigsaws and books. It's great to be so close to the beach - we could go down at the beginning or end of the day, after a day out, or if the weather changed. Saye House is in a beautiful location - very peaceful, attractive and friendly. It is also easy to get to many of the attractions - the steam train and Carisbrooke Castle were just two of many great places we visited. Also, the coastal walk was wonderful (though muddy!!). We walked to Ryde, caught the train to Lake and walked back along varied and beautiful coastline and countryside. Higly recommended!

MRS EVANS

Says House is large and modern with plenty of space and plenty of bathrooms. We had 3 cars and parked comfortably. Very short walk to the local beach which we did most evenings as we had beautiful weather. Very quiet area with good access to the rest of the Island, and very useful Tesco close by. We had a few minor issues, and felt the kitchen was a bit light on some equipment/items one would usually expect, but overall had a wonderful week at Saye House.

Dr Wood

Saye House is beautifully furnished and set out with all mod con etc in a lovely setting only 5 minutes walk from the sea. We enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend Saye House to anyone.

MRS KELBRICK

We really enjoyed staying at this house just a short walk from the beach; perfect location for us.

Mrs Greig

Saye House was a fantastic place to stay. It was light, airy and spacious; there were a lot of games and books provided - in case there were not enough places to visit or spare time that needed filling! It was wonderful to have 3 en-suites and a private bathroom - all decorated to a high standard. Best of all, it was a lovely stroll to Seagrove beach and a short walk to Seaview and the excellent Old Port cafe/restaurant, which served delicious food. Great to spot red squirrels on the walk to the beach, too, and watch all the seabirds through the conservatory roof as we ate brrakfast.

Mrs Atkinson

Lovely house in a beautiful location with the beach only a 3 minute walk.

Mrs Sutton

Extremely spacious house in a beautiful location. The property was immaculate throughout and had everything we needed. The beaches are lovely and only minutes walk away. We stayed here for the music festival and found the buses and taxis to and from the festival very easy to use. Classic cottages were very helpful and friendly throughout.

Dr De Silva

Well appointed, comfortable house in a wonderful location, close to Seagrove Bay and Priory Bay. We had a fantastic holiday, thank you!

Ms Awad

Lovely weekend break

Mrs Holmes

Our stay was very successful and we liked Saye House very much. Classic Cottages team on the Island were great and very helpful.
