Mrs Cole

A lovely place to stay and right by the beach. The perfect location for walking our dog. Very well kept and had everything we needed - will definately stay here again.

Miss Kardasis

Lovely stay, really comfortable chalet, we loved our time at cockleshells, would definitely recommend. Location is excellent and parking handy. Thank you!

Miss Travers

We had a great week in Cockleshells, perfect location beautiful outlook over a lake. Plus minutes to the sea/beach. Also early morning there are rabbits on the grass :) When we arrived Cockleshells everything was spotless and well equipped. Loved the local village and The Old Fort! Only thing missing was Wifi.

Mrs Slade

Great location right by the beach.

Mrs Arnold

Had a lovely stay at Cockleshells had everything we needed and in a beautiful location.

Mrs Walker

Great visit and a gorgeous cottage. Lovely location with access to great restaurants and beaches. Perfect for a relaxing visit

Mrs Curtin

Such a lovely place…very tranquil but within easy reach of fantastic beaches and more touristy attractions. 3 great restaurants/pub nearby. Really nice to arrive with milk/tea/coffee/biscuits and washing up paraphernalia. Beautiful lake on site and a nice patio area. Perfect for us with a dog and a teenager. Would definitely visit again!

Mrs Davis

Great location! The beach on the doorstep is also allowed dogs year round; we were not expecting this and fully prepared to have to find a beach that was. This was a big plus point for us with a young child in tow who constantly wanted to be on the beach

Mrs Cowan

Very peaceful location. Accommodation was very comfortable. Ease of parking was a bonus. Limited choice of restaurants close by, however the local pub and cafe in the village were excellent.

Mrs Moore

Cockleshell cottages are pretty, quiet sea side cottages. The beach is a two minute walk. Lovely seafront restaurants near by. The location makes it a great base to visit the busier near by towns, and the rest of this beautiful island. The park is situated on wildlife preservation lake. So, excellent location for birdwatching. We had a lovely stay, and look forward to staying again.

Miss Murche

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location for a quiet, relaxing break. The animal sanctuary next door are perfect neighbours. The cottage is fitted out with everything needed and is comfortable for 2 people and a dog. Very clean. Happy to return in the future.

Mrs Downing-Jones

Very peaceful and perfect location.

Mrs Hiscock

The location is wonderful, so very peaceful, the accommodation is well equipped and parking is easy. Just needs a bit of investment from the owner for better beds, as the mattresses were uncomfortable for us. The staff at classic cottages were very helpful and responsive. It’s the 3rd booking I’ve made through them and will definitely use them again, thank you.

mrs Hodges

Our stay was not good at all the accommodation was dirty and uncomfortable and the furnishings heavily stained would not recommend to anyone

Mrs Slade

A convenient base for a summer beach holiday.

Mrs Little

Great location

Mrs Sedley

The cottage was set on a nice quite relaxing park. With great see views. Very nice to have your own outside decking and table and chairs. The cottage itself is very well equipped. And comfy.

Mrs Hardiman

This is a lovely, cosy cottage with everything you need for a week on the Island. It was ideal for us as we have family in Ryde and meant we were close by but with our own space. Great proximity to the beach for a fresh walk in the morning with the dog, and for exploring everything the IoW has to offer. Very clean and tidy, with the added touch of supplying some necessities like dish soap and clean cloths. Would highly recommend to friends and family, and we look forward to coming back soon!

Mr Brew

Great quiet location adjacent to a beautiful natural beach.

Mr Pollard

Good location where children can play very safely and access to Seaview beach is excellent.

Ms Day

Great location for the beach, walking and cycling.

Mr Williams

This property is in a great location, literally minutes from the sea. We loved Seaview and the walks along the coast in both directions. We were less happy with the property itself, as we had significant issues with maintenance and housekeeping. However, Classic Cottages and the owner were commendably quick to respond to our concerns, so hopefully these issues will be dealt with very soon. A further improvement would be investment in a new bed, as we didn't find the existing bed particularly comfortable. The rating is based on the assumption that the issues we experienced will be resolved.

Mrs Pritchard

Simply love it here. Everything I want in a holiday for me and my dog.

Mrs Lewis

Cockelshells is a very comfortable and cozy cottage, in a very good location, being close to the beach and within walking distance of Ryde and Seaview. We had a very good week's holiday and would be happy to come again in the future.

Mrs Parsons

Great for the beach and a place to rest your head. Ideal for young children.

Mrs Templeton

Fabulous week - great position. Coming back next year!

Mrs Douglas

Great location and very well presented property. Ideal for families.

Mrs Steward

The cottage is in a great location for the beach and there are lovely walks along the coast.

Mrs Groundwater

We visited Cockleshells during the October half term with two small children (aged 5 and 2) and all of us absolutely loved it. The property itself has been beautifully decorated and is very comfortable. The location is fantastic and provided a great base for a variety of day trips (including Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle, Brading Roman Villa, Sandown and Shanklin). As it's right on the coast, we also enjoyed the local beach and beautiful sunsets. Exactly as described - if anything it exceeded our expectations and we would love to come back!
