The Stables
The Stables is light and airy throughout with two bedrooms, a king-size double and a twin. The open plan living-room with kitchen and dining areas is warm and inviting, with doors to the front and rear garden. The private rear garden is fully enclosed making it safe for younger ones and your dog. There is a family bathroom with a bath and fitted shower.
Situated in a picturesque and peaceful spot just outside the village of Shorwell on the west side of the Island, Kingston Barns can offer an idyllic holiday to get away from it all. Tucked away at the end of an unmade track and opening up to a spacious communal lawned area for all four barns to enjoy, the kids will have plenty of space to play. With dogs being welcome at Kingston Barns and each barn having its own private enclosed lawn area it couldn't be more suited for the whole family.
Kingston Barns is made up of four adjoining barns, the three other properties are The Dairy (4536), The Pigsty (4538) and The Cattle Byre(4535). Each of which can offer separate accommodation or a perfect place to invite the whole family for a special occasion.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.
Mrs Darbyshire
Another great stay at this lovely cottage. Great position to explore the west of the island. Always meets expectations.
Mr Goldsmith
Lovely location. We were on our own for most of our stay which suited us. Ideal for children though as very isolated.
Mr Earland
Beautiful cottage and well presented in a remote and quiet location. There needs to be a recycling point for bottles, paper/card and cans etc. If they were there, we couldn't find them. Also, the Wifi doesn't work. I'm not bothered but some may be.
Mrs Darbyshire
We booked all the barns for a special family holiday. Wonderful setting, so peaceful. The Stables was great. Good standard. Fantastic holiday?? Definitely recommend it. The Darbyshire family.
Mrs Hassall
The property was excellent and very well positioned. It was a perfect spot and dog friendly. I would definitely recommend the property.
Miss Hardwick
Lovely cottage for me and my family to stay in, will definitely use again
Mrs Craigen
We booked three of the cottages on this site for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration with the family. The cottages were clean comfortable and well equipped and suited our purposes very well. The staff moved the garden furniture to enable us to enjoy our time in the evenings together. There was plenty of space, both private and shared, to enjoy games together. There is a small green where you can play cricket or rounders. The situation is very quiet, surrounded by farmland, but it only takes 15 to 20 minutes to the nearest attractions and the seaside. The Classic Cottages staff in the Isle of Wight office were very helpful.

We enjoyed out stay very much. Lots to do within 30 minutes drive. The barn was spacious, comfortable and well equipped and was in a quiet location.
Mrs McGill
We had a wonderful holiday with the extended family as we were able to book 3 of the properties. The Stables was spacious for our family of 4. Plenty of outside space for the children to enjoy and a perfect central location to visit anywhere on the Island. We would love to come back!
Mrs Hendricks
The post code given is deceiving as it takes you to Kingston Manor, we had to turn around and find the unmade road (which isn't sign posted) to take us to Kingston Barns. A more clearer sign on both sides of the entrance to the road would be helpful. Otherwise we had a very enjoyable week at The Stables.
Mrs Pocock9
We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
Mrs Hammell
The Stables was an absolutely a lovely place to stay and would recommend as it had a lovely little garden which was private and the sheep greeting us everyday was lovely. The Stables had almost everything we required. Lovely touch by the cake for us to enjoy.
MR SIBBICK
We found The Stables well equipped and comfortable, ideally situated for walking and cycling in a lovely part of the island.
Mr Calland-Scoble
The Stables is set in an idyllic part of the island with easy access to Ventnor, and all the main attractions further afield. The access track is a bit rough, but once into the enclosure where the cottages are located everything is of an excellent standard. The bathroom had some minor issues, but otherwise it's a beautiful cottage. With the sheep and pheasants as the only close neighbours the setting is peaceful, and relaxing. We would definately come back in future!
Mr Clark
A very enjoyable stay and would return.Very rural but with easy access to the coast.
Ms Adjiman
A quiet and clean rural retreat, very well kept. We had a lovely stay and would visit again! Great walks in the area. The cottage and outside area were more spacious than we expected based on the photos.
Mrs Lucas
Recommend especially if you want a more walking holiday.
Mrs Skilton
Lovely barn, light and airy, peaceful location. Brilliant enclosed garden perfect for our little dog.
Mrs McMillan
My mum and dad stayed in the stables and my family stayed in the pigsty. Which worked out really well because they were next door to each other. Walked in the door and greeted with cake. Lovely touch. Lovely open space in the living room and kitchen (stables slightly bigger space than pigsty). Great for socialising. They provided towels, linen, cleaning sprays, washing up liquid etc. So didn't have to worry about any if that. They had a washing machine and dish washer. The stables had a back garden which was secure for our dog and toddler. Had everything we needed for a self accommodation. My mum was really impressed with facilities and items provided. She didn't have to pack the whole kitchen sink on this occasion. If you had a lot of family staying, you could hire out all four barns. That's would be amazing. Trying somewhere different next year with Classic Cottages but will definitely be back in the future. I know its a two bedroom but not quite big enough for us all to stay in one with a toddler. Can be done but I like me space.
