The Dairy
The Dairy is the largest of all four barns and is closest to The Cattle Byre. It has a spacious kitchen and dining area making it a social space for the family to gather and make plans. There is a separate sitting-room with a wood-burning stove and doors out to the private enclosed garden with comfortable outdoor dining seating. Relax in the peaceful surroundings and enjoy your meals al fresco.
There are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, the double has an en suite and there is an additional family bathroom.
Situated in a picturesque and peaceful spot just outside the village of Shorwell on the west side of the Island, Kingston Barns can offer an idyllic holiday to get away from it all. Tucked away at the end of an unmade track and opening up to a spacious communal lawned area for all four barns to enjoy, the kids will have plenty of space to play. With dogs being welcome at Kingston Barns and each barn having its own private enclosed lawn area it couldn't be more suited to the whole family.
Kingston Barns is made up of four adjoining barns, the three other properties are The Cattle Byre (4535), The Stables (4537) and The Pigsty (4538). Each of which can offer separate accommodation or a perfect place to invite the whole family for a special occasion.

Comfortable cottage in quiet location, well positioned for exploring the Isle of Wight.
Mrs Darbyshire
Another great stay at this lovely cottage. Great position to explore the west of the island. Always meets expectations.
Mrs Hughes

Great location
Mrs Chitty
The Dairy is a very comfortable cottage for four with two en-suites. It has a lovely garden that is very dog friendly and is set in beautiful surroundings with dark skies at night
Mr Heera
Lovely property in a very quiet area. Would definitely recommend.
Mr Langrish
We hired all four of the cottages for a very recent Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration, and it proved to be a wonderful choice! The four family groups were able to have their own space for cooking, storage, quiet and privacy, but we were near enough to have safe and regular contact. We liked the ability to come together for all meals and evenings, also outdoor activities which the six children absolutely loved. Family games of rounders will be one of the most abiding memories for those little people! It was a safe and secure area surrounded by beautiful countryside. We cannot recommend this venue highly enough. It enabled us to enjoy a truly special family, celebratory holiday which we will all remember very fondly. Thank you very much.

Had a lovely stay at The Dairy, nice quiet location.
Mrs Cripps
The Dairy was absolutely lovely, so spacious and comfortable with everything we needed for our weeks holiday. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog, and lovely area to walk dog from the door. Garden also so peaceful to sit in, with peaceful rural view of the field, on the comfortable chairs and table provided ( also parasol ). We took a fan as it was a hot spell and I realised fans were not provided. Would love to stay there again
Mrs Laity
Dog owners beware - dogs are not allowed in bedrooms or on the furniture, which may not suit some. Other than that the cottage is lovely, and I thoroughly recommend it if you don’t have a dog.
Mrs Towler
The Dairy is a great little cottage, spacious, and extremely clean, housekeeping do a great job. Everything you would expect to be there even a coffee machine. This was our 2nd year here and will hopefully be returning next year.
Mrs Towler
The Dairy set in the country side, so peaceful, walks on the doorstep if you have four legged friend, also not far to travel anywhere on the Island. Everything you need for your relaxing holiday.
Mrs Darlow
A great cottage stay based in a picturesque and peaceful location. Very comfortable, spacious and homely. A great base for our family holiday. Would recommend and would stay again.
Mrs Craigen
A lovely stay in a lovely property. So peaceful and relaxing - the perfect set up for a truly memorable family get-together. Thank you!
Mrs Darbyshire
We booked all the barns for a large family holiday. This barn was the best. Very spacious for more people, especially the kitchen. Great to have two on suites. Lovely for a larger family meal/party in the garden. Fantastic peaceful setting. Very much appreciated this barn. Memorable??
Mr Hardy
This was a beautiful property ideal for four adults visiting the Isle of Wight for one week. The countryside setting was so peaceful, with a number of enjoyable walks right on the doorstep. A car is pretty much essential to get the best out of the stay, with local pubs, restaurants and villages quite a hike away - but if you are mobile the property is ideally placed with most attractions on the island just 15 mins drive away (and the nearest pub just a few minutes in the car). The Dairy is simply but tastefully decorated and was extremelly well equipped with everything we needed. Highly recommended, and we would definately stay again.
Mr Cox
We have been satisfied customers for several years and are delighted that the high standards are being maintained.
Mrs McGill
We had a wonderful holiday with the extended family as we were able to book 3 of the properties. The Dairy was ideal for our family of 4 plus their dog. Plenty of outdoor space for the children to enjoy and a perfect central location to visit anywhere on the Island. We would love to come back! Friends have now booked for next year after seeing our photos!!
Mrs Butcher
The cottage is very spacious and in a lovely location its very peaceful and lots of lovely walks surrounding it
Mrs Bates
Great location, very peaceful, good size of cottage, everything that we needed in the kitchen was supplied. And there for the use of….
mrs woodards
This is one of 4 holiday homes, our family had another one, so it is perfect if several families want to stay near each other. Each having their own small secure garden but also a big communal lawn to play games. The Dairy is 2 bedroom but had a much bigger kitchen than the Pigsty, so our family could come over to the Dairy & we all eat together, all 8 of us. So it was a great social space. The Dairy was very clean, modern & comfortable. Big fluffy new bath towels, comfy beds, lots of hot water, a wood burning stove, washing machine plus dryer and everything you need in kitchen equipment. We would definitely return to this cottage. The welcome cake was much appreciated.
Mrs Giddings
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Dairy, it is in a lovely peaceful setting. There were several paths, bridleways and woodlands to walk from your door and many more if you drove a short distance. We would recommend a stay at this property, and hope to return next year.
Mr Davies
The property is close to a goat farm - about 1/4 mile away - that sells goat meat, fresh eggs and fire wood. They recommended an ethical takeaway business called Eat Street https://eatstreetiow.co.uk/ that serves hot food by internet order and is sited at the Goat Farm on a Friday evening. We tried it and can report that it is excellent.
Miss Kinmonth
Prospective clients should bare in mind this is not suitable for 4 adults comfortably, but would be more likely suitable for a couple or a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). Also, there is no provision for drying wet clothes or storing muddy boots should the weather be inclement. The location is excellent providing you don't want a supermarket nearby or a walk to the local pub in the evening (the nearest is 2 miles along an unlit narrow lane with no footpath), not 1 mile as described. We walked there and back on footpaths it takes 2 hours each way (over 7 miles).
