For a belated celebration for my Birthday my partner booked the Fortune for friends and family to join us at our favourite place on the IOW, Bembridge Harbour. As we all 'boarded' the Houseboat we all smiled and 'WOW' was the response from everyone. Fortune is a luxury experience - spacious, comfortable and well decorated to a high standard with 'quirky' décor from the huge starfish door knocker to jelly fish lights. After a day out we couldn't wait to return to enjoy our time on this amazing houseboat and watch the sunsets. We will definitely recommend Fortune to our friends and family. Big 'Thank you' to Rebecca for the welcome gifts and checking in to ensure our stay was the best.

This was our second stay on Fortune, and we loved it just as much, if not more, this time! It is a very well-maintained, comfortable, beautifully decorated and deceptively spacious houseboat which has absolutely everything you need. We love cooking and the kitchen is well equipped, and the open plan design and stunning views make it the perfect destination for a break with family and friends. Our age range was 20 - 65 yrs old, and there were eight of us on board plus our beloved elderly black lab! We enjoyed a week of fabulous weather, and it is so relaxing being out on the deck enjoying the sunsets, meeting the ducks and swans who are regular visitors and just watching the world go by. Thoughtful welcome gifts from the owners who check in to make sure that all is well, they really care. We have been visiting Bembridge for years now, it is our happy place, and this is our favourite holiday rental by far. We were all so sad to leave Fortune, and we hope to return again soon. We highly recommend!

Our stay at fortune was fantastic. I can't recommend the property enough. There were 7 people staying on the boat including adults and teenagers and there was ample room. Than main living / dining area is spacious with amazing views over Bembridge Harbour, The Duver and over the Solent to Portsmouth. The location is perfect for water sport access which was great for our teenagers. The property was extremely well presented and the owners contacted us to make sure we had everything we needed, which we did. Thank you so much for a truly memorable and comfortable stay on Fortune. We will be returning as soon as possible.

The property was let down by the extreme lack of cleanliness

We had a fabulous holiday on Fortune! Beautiful houseboat and such a relaxing setting. We have stayed in several holiday rentals in Bembridge over the years and this is by far our favourite! We all loved it, including our four legged friends! Will definitely return.

This is the second visit to this beautiful houseboat for ourselves and friends. Location is stunning, very comfortable and the decor is really lovely, with a ‘sea creature’ theme throughout. A great deal of thought has gone into the design and furnishing of this property. There is nothing you could want for. We would highly recommend it.

Fantastic host , provided armchair for mum , left me a lovely birthday present , great local information provided, very comfortable house boat , lovely comfortable beds , fantastic views ,highly recommended ?? great restaurants near by , beaches , lovely experience on a houseboat holiday

Our third stay on Fortune in the first week of October when dogs are allowed on all the IoW beaches. Two of us lived there over 60 years ago for a short while and love revisiting all our old haunts - so many lovely places to go to and Bembridge and Seaview are great for pubs and restaurants. When we walk through the unassuming front door we are still surprised into a broad smile at the utterly fabulous design and views from the main deck. A brilliant piece of architecture that is a real pleasure to stay in. The owner and Classic are always helpful if something needs attention and we hope to be back again next year. There are only three of us so we have masses of space but feel Fortune is so unique it is well worth it!

We all loved this houseboat. Luxury combined with an excellent view and location. It had absolutely everything we needed for our stay which was enjoyed by all in the party. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to our friends, family and all readers.

Fortune is located in the beautiful coastal village of bembridge, we couldn't have chosen a better location on the IOW for dog walks and relaxation...fortune itself is a quirky alternative for accommodation, well equipped, spacious with lovely interior design..would definitely recommend...

What's not to like about Fortune Houseboat? The location is amazing especially at high tide. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. We were a party of four with occasional visitors and there was plenty of room. The internet didn't work on the lower level but was ok upstairs. We would highly recommend it as a different type of holiday experience.

Had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home, would highly recommend to friends and family. Woke up to a beautiful view every morning. The decoration on the houseboat was fantastic. Felt like home from home, would definitely stay here again. Thank you for an amazing holiday location.

Sadly this property had all the potential to be fabulous but on our visit was let down but the extreme lack of cleanliness.

Fortune did not disappoint. The welcome gifts from the owner were a lovely and thoughtful touch. The boat is very spacious and if the weather had been nicer we would have used the deck space a lot more! Great fun for a quirky stay away!

We felt that the location was ideal and the accommodation was spacious and well-appointed. We enjoyed the peace and quiet on the houseboat and we had some lovely meals out, particularly at The Crab and Lobster. We were lucky to enjoy some fantastic weather and so we spent a lot of time walking and enjoying the local scenery. We appreciated in particular the fact that the bedrooms described as double bedrooms really were good sized double rooms. In fact, as a general observation, we were amazed by how deceptively spacious the rooms on the houseboat were.

We had a lovely stay with my son, two grandchildren and our dog on Fortune. The property is very well equipped and came with many unexpected extras. The grandchildren had great fun with Alexa and catching crabs from the boat. We would highly reccomend Fortune.

We loved our stay and the team couldn’t have been more helpful. Great location and a beautiful accommodation, so many little extra touches. Great memories made x

Great views. Spacious open plan layout with plenty of room. Our party of a family of four adults all enjoyed the week away, especially on a lovely houseboat, which they did not want to leave.

We would definitely recommend Fortune in Bembridge Harbour for a splendid holiday. Location, style, spaciousness, all exceptional.

Even a stay during storm Eunice, Fortune was a different, comfortable and memorable place.

This accommodation absolutely exceeded our expectations - we loved it, and want to book again for next year. Location is fabulous, the view over Bembridge Harbour was lovely, and we even had Swans and their Cygnets tapping at the main bedroom windows in the morning, looking for breakfast! A wonderful place, with everything you could want for, coupled with high quality furnishings and fittings, and fabulous artwork on the walls - who even knew Octopus have nine brains!!! You should rush to book this as soon as possible - but please leave us some space next year!!

A fantastic stay- accommodation brilliant and enabled me to celebrate my retirement with friends - always nice to wake up to the view of Bembridge harbour watching nature at its best ! We’ll all be back ! ??

The house boat was amazing. The boat was really well equipped and the view of the harbour from the desk was special. As a base for walking and cycling it was perfect. We had a wonderful stay and would happily go back there

A stunning houseboat with very thoughtful owners who left many treats/provisions for us - wine, coffee, milk. Loved the high spec appliances and interior. We had a fantastic holiday and felt privileged to stay in such a quality property. Sitting on the decking and watching the tide come in and go out was bliss and will stay with us for a long time. Fortune provides a true luxury experience in lovely Bembridge harbour. The boat is even more impressive than the photos suggest. Really comfortable accommodation coupled with tasteful design and really thoughtful extras provided by the owners. (Including a very nice bottle of wine & fresh flowers). Good quality bed linens , towels, comfortable beds and other furniture made sure we had a really delightful stay. We even watched Net Flics one evening! Highly recommend. Mike & Diane

We would like to thank the local office for their efficient service. No query was too minor and always answered cheerfully. We had worrying plumbing issue and they organised for someone to come and sort it out within 15mins - very impressed! Well done IoW team !

The Fortune provides a wonderful holiday experience with amazing views of the stunning Bembridge Bay as well as providing a spacious, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. You feel immediately at home but with a view to die for.

We had an amazing stay at Fortune boathouse. The decor is modern, stylish and fresh. The views are wonderful at any time of the day and night, whether it is sunny, rainy or grey, which makes it a very relaxing choice. It is also a great location with beaches and Bembridge Village easily accessible. I would highly recommend Fortune and can't wait to visit again.

Stunning houseboat in beautiful location, would book again in a heartbeat

Fortune House Boat is a quirky, and classy holiday venue, all mod-cons available including a washing machine, dryer, dish washer, Netflix, WiFi, and an outside hose for the dirty dog. Mobile phone coverage is very poor here, unless on EE apparently, however the wifi is pretty good on the boat so Whatsapp calling or similar is a good option. Bembridge harbour is a beautiful and quiet area. There is a lovely dog friendly beach 10 mins walk away, as well as some lovely walks through the Bembridge lagoons with lots of wildlife and the coastal path round the harbour. Two lovely fresh seafood cafes on the harbour, which although quite pricey were very good. We pre-booked tables at the Village Inn and the Crab & Lobster pubs/restaurants as we were there 2nd week after lockdown easing, glad we did book as they were all busy and turning people away. They were both great at practicing social distancing and plenty of cleaning stations around. The Isle of Wight was busy again, although lots was still shut or only partially open, we were delighted to enjoy such beautiful walks and beaches and the very warm welcome of the islanders.

Wow - We have just returned from an excellent week on this gorgeous boat and feel privileged to have been the first folk to rent it. Our expectations were high from the great photographs but were exceeded by the beauty of Bembridge Harbour - a truly stunning and peaceful location. The boat has been cleverly redesigned and floods with light at both levels. The master bedroom is huge. My 91 year old father claimed it to be the largest room he had ever slept in! The generosity of the owners abounded with quality furniture,fittings,appliances,linen etc plus lots of thoughtful extras. There are really nice places to eat and drink nearby and a good selection of shops in the village. Our energetic spaniel enjoyed the local beach. We had great weather but I think the comfort of the boat would make it a good all year round destination. Huge thanks from a happy extended family ... we can’t recommend this boat highly enough and hope to return.

We had ten wonderful nights on Fortune and immediately felt like it was our "home away from home" on the water. The boat has been incredibly well designed and provides all the modern amenities that one would expect including a very well equipped kitchen and super comfortable beds. No attention to detail has been spared and if asked the question would we return, the answer has to be a resounding yes!

The most wonderful location you will ever find! Views to die for! Bring your binoculars!
