Ms Pickford
This cottage was very tastefully renovated and spotlessly clean. The location was very close to the small town of Saint Just which was a short walk away across the fields. We could also access the coast path about a mile away from the cottage.
Mrs Bethell
Enjoyed two very comfortable and peaceful weeks at Streamside Mill. Great location for walking to the beautiful local valleys and coves, and walking into St Just. Be aware the bus service becomes very limited in October.
Ms Addison
Lovely apartment! Very comfortable and in a very pretty location for strolls to Cape Cornwall and into St Just. All the best places to visit close by and if you don’t want to drive, catch a bus from St Just. Visited St Ives, Penzance, Newlyn, Cape Cornwall (see General de Gaulle in the bath!), Marazion and St Michael’s Mount etc etc. So many wonderful places to visit - this is a beautiful part of Cornwall. We shall return. ??????
Mr Daley
A great location, with comfortable lodgings, I would return to this cottage again if I was holidaying in this part of Cornwall again.
Dr Bleeze
What a beautiful place! A cleverly designed and built hayloft set in a planned but "wild" garden next to a tinkling stream! At night the water flowing is all you can hear, looking out onto the night sky with the constellations - I slept very well! Nancherrow is at an Ancient Crossroads at the north west tip of West Penwith where people have lived since the beginning of time - holed stones and stone circles, ancient field systems, mine workings and farms, near the old mining village of Tregeseal and its cute pottery shop. Just a short half mile walk up the hill on the Church Path to St Just and it's very interesting church built in 1336 but on the site of an earlier Celtic Christian Church set on I am sure much earlier religious sites - Pagan, Neolithic....The garden was an added bonus and it is so generous of Helen to share it - sunny but with also sheltered spots - forget me nots, white harebells, bluebells, red campion, buttercups, cow parsley, bamboo, ox eye daisies, cherry trees - and two affectionate neighbouring cats who will say hello curling around your legs purring! A very good location for exploring West Penwith - Poldark Country - from Penzance to Mousehole of Mowzer and Stargazy Pie fame, Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre, Land's End, Cape Cornwall , Zennor with the Mermaid Chair in the church and Vera Atkins of SOE's ashes in the churchyard and St Ives. Inland to the moors with the mines and Neolithic sites. A very helpful kindly hostess and local friendly people. A lovely place to return to after a day's travelling especially to sit in the lovely garden, then a log fire in the evenings. I know Cornwall very well, visiting at least annually - and having worked here for some time (Newquay and Helston areas). West Penwith is a part of Cornwall that I love - I used to stay at Bosigran Farm while it was a wonderful working farm - sadly now having lost the tenant farmer and the wonderful belted galloway cattle that used to roam Carn Galver. So I needed somewhere new - Streamside Mill proved to be a very restful holiday. I have already booked for next year!
Mr McCathie
A lovely cottage in a great location.
Mr Park
Small cottage on the outskirts of St Just. Well located for visiting the local tourist attractions, great walking area.
Mr Thick
We found the host to be very nice and very friendly. The property was clean, tidy, and very comfortable although slightly smaller than we expected. Lovely location with a small village just at the top of the hill St. Just. which had all the amenities that you needed. Within 10 min drive you could also get to a couple of stunning beaches.
Mr Richardson
Situated in a lovely area with stunning coastal walks close by. Cornish Heritage very evident, with mine workings well worth visiting Good bus service of Lands End Coaster, with bus stop close by.
Mrs Harrison
Streamside Mill is in a very peaceful location, within walking distance of StJust, and not far from surrounding places such as St Ives and Penzance. The owner of the cottage, Helen was a wonderful host and even gave us some plants that we loved from her garden. We had a great time and will definitely be going back.
Mrs Amos
We had a 10 out of 10 stay at Streamside. Lots to do around the area and a safe 10 minute walk to a great centre with a couple of pubs and a coop. Host was attentive making sure we were ok. The only small problem we had which was our issue was our elderly dog struggled with the steps. We should have thought on before booking! ??
Mr Manning
Excellent walking directly from cottage, steps up to the property could prove difficult for the less mobile. The owner was very helpful, checked if we required fresh towels half way through our 2 week stay (which isn't always offered when we have a 2 week break)
Ms Fuller
This is a beautifully maintained and very comfortable cottage in an fantastic location in walking distance to St Just. The standard of care and cleanliness of the cottage is of a very high standard. The kitchen is very well equipped indeed. Really lovely garden and stream.
Ms Riggott
A lovely little property - perfect in every way for our requirements! Helen made us feel very welcome and the garden was a beautiful place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sun. We will happily return…! Thank you for a great holiday!
Mrs Edwards
This is a lovely quiet location but handy for all amenities. Helen is lovely and nothing is too much trouble for her. Would recommend this cottage to any one who loves a holiday away from the crowds.
Mr Scott
Streamside Mill, is in the perfect place to go exploring The south-west coast, with great views of Cape Cornwall just a mile down the lane from the house with its stunning views. The National Trust tin mines houses and gardens the Minack Theatre, St Michaels Mount, St Ives, all great places to visit and all around 10 miles from the house. And Zennor with the best pub grub ever. Great holiday
Mrs Dixon
So enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. Helen the owner was very friendly and welcoming. The electric shower broke after the first week ( could have happened to anyone) but we went out for the day and came back to a brand new shower. How's that for service. I also had a mishap whilst out walking one day with my ankle and Helen borrowed a walking stick from her friend to help me. Such a nice lady. There's everything you need in the cottage. Very well equipped. Location is lovely. Close to lots of lovely places. Can walk across the fields behind the cottage (10 minutes) to St Just which is a small but nice town. Cows in the fields but I love cows and they just looked at us. I'd certainly recommend this cottage. And if we are ever over this way again I would certainly stay here.
Mr Freeman
Helen was a lovely hostess and no request was too much trouble for her. Streamside Mill is in an excellent location being only walking distance from the South West Coast path. St Just village has all the amenities you want, again all within walking distance. Enjoyed the refreshments and food at the Kings Arms twice! Ideal peaceful getaway for a couple and their Jack Russell pup.
Mrs Pearce
We can’t recommend Streamside Mill highly enough. Excellent accommodation, spotlessly clean. Most helpful host in Helen, with a cream tea and flowers on arrival. Perfect for a restful holiday in a most beautiful corner of Cornwall.
Mrs Fox
Lovely cottage, beautiful walks, loved St Ives gorgeous beaches, only downside was we picked the wrong week as the G7 summit was being held at St Ives and police ??were everywhere with road closure. Weather wasn't good as only 2 and a half days of sunshine but still a lovely break.
Mr setaro
Great location , beautiful cottage with good decor , very clean .
Miss Hewitt
Streamside mill cottage was, spotlessly clean, lovely and cozy with brilliant walk, well equipped, lovely owner , who were nice and welcoming, i would recommend a stay at the streamside mill cottage.
Mrs Mathias
An excellent location for using the open top bus to walk the coast path and explore the area during summer months. The bus stop is very close to the cottage. A beautiful area to visit.
Mr Webster
Please ensure that although the bedroom is quite small there is adequate storage space for clothing including a hanging space with hangers included all built in under a flight of steps leading to a loft area where customers cases and bags can be stored .
Ms Law
Perfect position for exploring the area.
Mrs Neilly
Streamside Mill is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location, close to the centre of St Just. It is ideally situated for guests wishing to explore the coastal path with its many former tin and copper mines whose derelict chimneys and engine houses complement the rugged landscape. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and will book this cottage again when we return to this area of Cornwall.
Mr Bourne
Well equipped and very comfortable. Exceeded expectations. Host very friendly and helpful. Location was excellent, at the top end of Kenidjack Valley; easy walking access to "Poldark Country".
Mr Clark
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Streamside Mill. A lovely cottage in a wonderful location, with an excellent host who was readily on hand to help us with any queries. We enjoyed our stay so much we're already planning a return visit.
Mrs Drew
Helen made us feel very welcome, with milk in the fridge, cake and flowers. The cottage was clean and airy with a lovely open plan kitchen/living room. The wood burner added a cosy touch on a cooler day. There is a flat screen tv with dvd player, but don't rely on the wifi, it is St Just after all! There was everything you might need, hairdryer, microwave, dishwasher etc. Off road parking was a bonus, as our car is quite large. The position of the cottage was fantastic for the coastal paths and lots of inland walks as well. St Just was a 10 minute walk across a couple of fields, coming out just near the pub! There is a good selection of food shops, butchers, Co- Op, fruit and veg shop etc. We highly recommend this gorgeous cottage, thank you Helen.
Ms Gibson
Ideal location for a long get away weekend.
Mr Schaller
Great location especially for those who like to have their peace and quiet. Good start long point for many day hikes.
Mrs Hulme
A lovely cosy cottage with a surprising amount of storage space and very well equipped. Helen the owner made us extremely welcome and there was a tray set for tea with saffron cake as well as a lovely vase of flowers on the table. Close to St Just - just a short walk uphill. Great location for exploring that part of Cornwall.
Mrs Barlow
Location was very handy for everything in the area and walkable to the sea. Helen was very friendly and welcoming and the property was just right.
Mr Reed
Stream side cottage was the ideal place for a relaxing break and within easy reach of all things we wanted to see in this part of Cornwall, would thoroughly recommend
Mr Schulz
We fully enjoyed our stay in Cornwall, Helen has been an excellent host! Great location, great cottage, totally dog friendly (Muya and Enni, two Whippet ladies coming home to their country of origin). Anytime again !!! Two recommendations for future guests: A performance at Minnack is a must (we saw "Chicago") as well as a rugby match in Penzance (we saw the Pirates defeating Richmond, cool experience, being German and having a peaceful crowd at a menacing sport, quite the opposite with Continental Soccer:-).
Mrs Randall
Helen who ownes the property is a very lovely lady, welcoming us with a cup of tea and cake and a lovely vase of flowers on the table. Everything you could wish for in the property nothing was too much trouble. We would love to be able to stay there again one day.
Mr Gunning
A very comfortable and clean cottage, very well equipped, and very handy for St Just, with all the amenities you need.
Ms Jessop
Clean, well equipped and quick to heat up accommodation in good location for quick access to coast. Lots of storage space and good to have several hooks on the back of the bathroom and the bedroom doors - some properties lack sufficient `external' hanging space.
Mr Clothier
We had a delightful stay over the New Year at streamside mill. Helen was lovely and welcoming laying on some mince pies for our arrival. The cottage is cosy and warm and well appointed and ideally situated for walks along the beautiful North coast. Wouldn't hesitate to book again Richard and Pernille
Mr Scharstein
A very nice place to spent your Holidays, nice interieur, very friendly owner. Short footpath to St. Just, to spent the evening in one of the Restaurants, lots of interesting goals all around.
Mrs Eysackers
A very pretty nicely decorated cottage. It does not take long to walk into St Just.
Mr Sergeant
Lovely bright, clean cottage close to the SW coastal path . A short walk or drive into St Just for local amenities and a pottery/ art gallery over the road. Bus stop a few yards away for buses along the north coast and to Lands End. Lovely host and we would highly recommend it.
Mr Smith
Great location for dog walking, easy access and the good pubs and shops of St Just within easy reach.
Mrs Burnett
Owner very welcoming upon arrival. Cosy clean and tidy cottage with relaxing gardens to come back to after enjoyable days out. Excellent location with so much to explore right on the doorstep.
Mrs Michelon
A big thank you to Helen the owner for being so helpful and friendly. The village of St Just is pretty and wonderfully dog friendly, with good local shops and pubs. Cape Cornwall is stunning and the coast path is on the doorstep. Beaches for swimming and dogs are harder to find unless you are a rock- climber or don't mind driving a fair way.
Mrs Thompson
Great place to relax after walking all day along the coast or moorland and in particular visiting the mining district and the fascinating cultural history.
Mr Beard
Great cottage in fabulous location for walking with lots of decent pubs close at hand.
Mrs Thompson
A wonderful cottage in an ideal location for walking the coast path.
Mrs Worrall
Really lovely location for enthusiastic walkers who want to explore...
Mr Egler
Warm welcome from the owner with the fridge switched on, some milk in the fridge, a pack of fugde for the first tea and flowers on the kitchen table. Furthermore, the wood burner was ready for use, i.e. all prepared and further wood provided. The cottage is rather remotely located. On the other hand just a short distance to the closest pub and supermarket. The sea is only a few minute away too. We also liked the fact that we have been offered to use the owner's garden. Finally our dog was welcome too and she (our dog) also loved the cottage.
Mr Ormandy
The cottage owner is a lovely lady and very helpful. Although it's a lovely property, anybody with mobility issues may find it difficult as the stone steps up to the front door are quite steep. It's a great place for anybody with a well trained dog as it's a very safe location set back off the road, our spaniel loved it here. It's also a perfect location for walkers, the coastal footpath isn't too far away where there are many paths allowing access to different parts of the headland. St Just is a really nice village, the Kings Arms pub is ultra dog friendly and there's an excellent butcher and bakers, plus a few little cafes.
Mr Le-Good
well decorated
Mr Green
Delightful, very comfortable and very clean. Great location for Cape Cornwall walks, Sennan Cove, Mousehole, St Michaels Mount
