Nestled on the outskirts of the pretty Cornish village of Nancledra, this gorgeous bespoke barn is the ideal 'get away from it all' destination. Woon Summer (Cornish for Summer Dwelling, and what a dwelling this is) is located on the edge of moorland in the grounds of the owners' working farm. This picture-perfect detached property (which is all on one level), will delight either a small family or couple simply wanting that extra bit of space, and there's room for your loyal pup too.

Walk through the sunny porch into the open plan living-room with kitchen and dining areas. Furnished beautifully in the softest pale blues and greys to complement the Cornish landscape and sea, you will instantly feel at home. Comfy sofas surround the wood-burner, creating a wonderful ambience with flames flickering away during cosy nights in. Foodies will love the modern kitchen where seafood feasts and hearty breakfasts can be prepared. Surprisingly light and airy with doors leading out onto the patio, why not sit and take in the dramatic moorland views that await you. Locals tell us that this charming rural location could soon be a designated dark sky area, so if you enjoy star gazing you are truly in for a treat. Leading off from this glorious light and airy room, you'll find your two stylish, very comfortable bedrooms and family shower-room.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mrs Camp

Lovely property. Spotlessly clean and well decorated. Beautiful views and very peaceful location. Great host, would highly recommend.

Miss Gordon

Wonderful cottage, cosy and well equipped. Good base for North, West and south coast.

Mrs Rush

We enjoyed our stay in Woon Summer. We found the cottage really comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The rural location was perfect for us. We really appreciated the large garden, which was like our own field and a great area for our two labradors to run and exercise. We have stayed in many Classic Cottages over the years and this was one of the best.

Mrs Boardman

Woon Summer is exceptionally well equipped and was immaculate on our arrival. We loved the peace and tranquility of the location while still being only a short drive to many excellent surfing beaches. The doggie basket and garden were a hit with our spaniel, Bear! The owners really had thought of everything. We will definitely look to stay again when back in Cornwall.

Dr. Friedrichs

A perfect location trips to Penzance and St. Ives and everything in between. Lots of different and adventurous walks for our dog and us right at the doorstep. A very luxurious and beautiful cottage that provided for everything we needed and even more. A perfect home for rainy days (big windows, fireplace and cosy armchairs to watch a fox visit in the evening and goldfinches during the day) and a beautiful garden for a summer's day. Lots of space for our family of four and the dog, too. If only the stay would have been a month longer, we will surely come back to Woon Summer.

Mrs van Grol

We hebben erg genoten van dit prachtige huisje in Cornwall!

Mr Wall

Fantastic place to stay- spacious living area with great view.It was really well-equipped - we had everything we needed. It's a great location to visit other parts of Cornwall - St Ives, Penzance, Land's End - all easy to get to.

Mrs Shorthouse

Excellent standard of beautifully kept accommodation with beautiful views and very helpful and friendly owners. Lots of lovely countryside to explore from the doorstep and well positioned to explore both north and south coasts of the peninsula.

Mrs Smith

A very relaxing stay with pretty much everything we needed. A quiet, peaceful location off the beaten path. Clean and equipped property with friendly hosts. Would not hesitate to stay again!

Miss Acheson

Wow, what can I say about our stay at Woon Summer! The property already looks stunning in the pictures, but honestly, when you arrive you will be amazed by the location! It is set in an area of 'outstanding' natural Cornish beauty!! Rolling hills and countryside for as far as the eye can see. And once you are there, all you can hear around you is birdsong and cows and sheep in the distance. The air smells and feels SO clean and fresh! - Compared to where we live!! And the house is extremely cosy and comfortable. Especially the beds and sofas!! My husband said he'd never had such a good night's sleep. And the log burner gives off some serious heat! It warms up the entire house. I would describe this property as one of the best we've ever stayed at. And Lesley was extremely helpful and welcoming. Although Woon Summer is tucked away in an idyllic, secluded little spot, you are still only a 15 minute drive from St Ives and all of the other beautiful surrounding beaches. So to wrap it up, I would highly recommend this property and we will definitely be booking again in the future! Such a wonderful holiday! Xx

Ms berry

Our second stay in just a matter of weeks. Beautifully maintained property , spotlessly clean with everything you could need for your winter time holiday including a wood burner . Well equipped kitchen , quality furnishings, warm and cosy with fabulous view and sunrises. Well located for visits to both coasts . Lesley your host is really helpful and responds quickly to communication. We would definitely recommend and plan to return . Thank you Lesley and Classic Cottages .

Mrs Hall

Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location with lovely views. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable

Mrs Hawkins

Cottage is super peaceful and comfortable. Location is ideal as not far at all to St Ives and lots of lovely places to visit. Owners lovely and welcoming. Would 10/10 recommend.

Mr Lewis

Wonderful hosts on hand if needed. Warm welcome. Property had everything we needed for the most perfect stay. Wonderful views, peaceful but close to both coasts, attractions and amenities. Lovely walks straight from your door. Would highly recommend.

Mrs Pope

An absolutely beautiful cottage in an outstanding location! The views of the hills are just gorgeous as are the sunsets. Hosts are very welcoming and friendly and happy to recommend walks and local places to visit. We had an amazing holiday here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Really can’t think of anything negative to comment on.

Mrs Joyce

This cottage exceeded our expectations in every way! Its beautiful, exceptionally clean and has everything you need! A real home from home. It was a great location in the middle of the countryside, so views were beautiful and it was so peaceful but was only 10-25mins away from most things we wanted to do and visit like st.michaels mount, lands end, penzance, st ives, hayle etc. We will defo stay again and very much look forward to it!

Mr Pye

We really enjoyed our stay at Woon Summer. It was the perfect break away from busy life. So peaceful. We enjoyed the views across the valley. We ate in a lot and there was everything you could possibly need, with loads of cupboard space. It was immaculately clean, which put us at ease straight away. Comfy king-size bed and amazing shower. There was nothing I would change, apart from perhaps a DVD player, but it wasn't an issue. We would definitely, love to go back, it was the perfect base for getting out and doing some beautiful walks on the stunning coastal paths. Paul, Lesley and Annie were all very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the cream tea on arrival.

Mr Pammant

Beautiful airy & furnished property in the perfect location & setting for us, everything was thought of by the lovely hosts and the cottage gave an instant home from home warmth. The shower was the best we have found on our travels & deserves a mention of its own. Stunning panoramic views of open countryside and a large private garden for our dog to patrol & explore.

Mr Shaw

The owners who live on site, Lesley Paul and Annie, were lovely and very helpful. The cottage was perfect and spotless. The location was perfect for relaxing yet still close enough to all the amenities. Lots to see and do in the area or stay on the farm and enjoy the scenery. We have high expectations from accommodation and this ticks all the boxes for us, perfect ????

Mrs Fisher

Woon Summer exceeded our expectations! The property was very spacious, clean and equipped with everything you may need for a family stay. The location and views were amazing! Thank you so much!

Mrs Brown

Lovely, homely cottage in a great location for Penzance and St Ives. Beautiful scenery. We would definitely recommend Woon Summer and would stay again.

Mr Pascoe

Amazing views, great local walks and very clean and lovely.

Mrs Mason

Woon Cottage, was the best place we have stayed in, for cleanliness, layout, decor, comfort, location. We could not fault it, Fabulous.

Mrs Varnam

Lovely property in the gorgeous countryside. Friendly owners and doggy! Highly recommend for a peaceful break away x

Mrs Adriaens

We had a wonderful holiday in Woon Summer. It’s a beautiful cottage with a great location to explore Cornwall. We enjoyed the amazing view in the garden and the warm welcome of the owners and the pets.

Mr Radley

Beautiful cottage with a lovely view and distant glimpses of the the sea through the valleys. Conveniently close to the the coast North, West or South or walk from the cottage across the moors. The owners are very friendly as are their pet dog and one of their cats, if you are not an animal person be aware a small amount of fuss instantly makes you a best friend. We loved the quiet remoteness, about a mile off the main road along single track lanes it is so peaceful. The cottage is kept very clean and comfortable and the owners have everything well organized. Great place to stay.

Mrs Barrett

Lovely cottage, very cosy. Stunning views. Extremely peaceful. Ideal spot for plenty of walking. Would definitely stay again.

Mrs Ashfield

Many thanks for providing this wonderful holiday home and allowing dogs to stay. Very comfortable, enjoyable, peacful and fitted out superbly. A superb cottage and we enjoyed the location, to explore the southern coast of Cornwall.

Mrs Standen

A really lovely and comfortable cottage perfectly situated for visiting west Cornwall. Friendly and helpful host, delicious cream tea on arrival and treats for the dog too! Would highly recommend.

Mr Davis

Amazing stunning place, definitely recommend to anyone. Really didn't want to leave!

Mrs Taylor-Basilio

Beautiful location, stunning views. The cottage is lovely and cosy, and hosts were friendly and helpful. Would love to go back again.

Mr Paterson

Superb location, a well presented beautiful cottage. Perfectly located for walks from the front door or a small drive to St Ives, Lands End or Penzance.

Mrs Barham

Excellent location - very peaceful and great views. The cottage is really well equipped and very comfortable. A super shower too!

Mrs Shead

This is an excellent cottage in a perfect location to get away from it all. In June there were fantastic colourful sunrises and sunsets. It’s location is also excellent for cloud watching. Between St Ives and Penzance, there are ample opportunities to experience the North and South coastlines. Woon Summer is a spacious cottage, very homely with good quality furnishings and for dog owners is a very good location. You should, however, remember that this is a working farm so dogs should be well behaved and supervised so that they do not disturb the animals. We were fortunate to have cows and new born calves during our stay. Our hosts were very welcoming, took an interest in us and nothing was too much trouble. They made the trip a special one.

Mr Newbery

Lovely cottage with modern internal fittings. Amazing log burner all set up and good to go - with everything available for use moving forward over the stay. Perfectly kitted kitchen. Cleanliness was second to none throughout Really nice touches like the dog basket, blankets, treats to the home made sloe gin and scones / cream for a cream tea. Local milk in the fridge, Fresh flowers in the window ledge ....the list goes on - many thanks to Lesley

mr bullen

We arrived at Woon Summer after a very long drive, in the dark, in December and in the pouring rain, so we really needed it to be right. We were not dissapointed. We were met by the owner (Mrs Osborne) who was clearly keen to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The moment we opened the door, we found the property to be warm, spotlessly clean and stocked with basics/scones to welcome us. It even had a Christmas tree set up. The layout was great - open plan and lots of space. The bathroom was spacious and the bedrooms worked well for us (2 adults/2children). The property is detached, set on a farm but very quiet and has great views. If the weather was nicer we would have been able to enjoy the patio and garden. Theres even a large porch with a heated floor to keep all the soaking outdoor clothes out of the cottage. Woon Summer made for a great break being close to St Ives and both coastlines. We could have comfortably stayed much longer, so we thoroughly recommend Woon Summer.

Mr Lawes

A lovely cottage, well located for a Penwith based holiday in Cornwall. It is worth knowing that the lanes are narrow in this area; not so good if you're not a confident driver! It's comfortable, clean and finished to a high standard. A proper home from home. Kitchen is very good; spacious, modern and well equipped. Ideal for a couple or young family (children would need some supervision) with plenty of space to store stuff. Lesley, our host, was gracious and welcoming. We certainly recommend this cottage and fully intend to return if available when we next wish to visit Penwith. Very good pasties are available from Philps in Hayle. Or, if heading west, Mcfadden (butchers) in St Just also have some of Cornwall's best pasties (pre-ordering recommended).
