Mr Davies
Very easy to use and showed everything we required when booking.
Miss Marsden
Lovely house in a perfect location
Mrs Fletcher
This property is in a great location and it is possible to walk into St Ives, although there is a bit of a hill on the way back. It is a really spacious house with a large kitchen and lots of light.
Mr Dillow
None other than mentioned the garden needed some TLC
Mrs Woodward
This property is well furnished and well equipped (everything you could possibly need in the kitchen). Beds are comfortable and bedding and towels good quality and clean. The welcome basket was a really nice touch and the wine was lovely. As other reviewers have mentioned it is a decent walk (uphill on the way back!) into the centre of St Ives. There are 2 bathrooms however not enough water pressure to use both showers at the same time. Also there is damp in the dining room (this is acknowledged as there is a dehumidifier in there). We had a couple of issues whilst there (downstairs room set up as a double not a twin as requested and the upstairs toilet not working properly), classic cottages were very friendly and helpful with resolving this and called afterwards to check all was ok. The housekeeper and plumber who came out were very friendly.
Miss Younger
Wow, from start to finish what a fantastic company to work with! I’ve had many questions along the way & classic have always come back so promptly, & super politely! The accommodation was absolutely immaculate, you really couldn’t fault it! Something for everyone of all ages, we are already looking at booking another stay with them. Cannot recommend enough!
Mrs Taplin
I have stayed in lots of classic cottages. Dreslan was another outstanding cottage. Lovely welcoming pack with a bottle of wine. Decor and furnishings were quality. Most of all the kitchen was well equipped and everything you could think of. Great location and a walk into St Ives. Will definitely stay again.
Mrs Salmon
Beautiful spacious property with everything you will need for your stay.
Miss Whitwood
Dreslan is a lovely place to stay and so easy to access. We walked into St Ives most days and would recommend staying here as it’s so lovely.
Mrs Spinks
Dreslan was a great choice as a comfortable place to stay. Close enough for a good stroll into town, however, the uphill climb to return may not suit all! The welcome gifts were a nice touch. The nearby Co-op was very useful. The garden was excellent for us and our small dog. It was brilliant to have a place in St. Ives with parking for 2 cars, however, the access in and out of Dreslan with big cars was a bit on the tight side, with all the stone walls both around the front of the property and alongside the road. Not a problem though with a smaller car. We would defo consider Dreslan again for another Cornish holiday with a four legged friend.
Mr Webb
Dreslan is an ideal property for visiting St Ives and the surrounding area. Very comfortable and spacious. It has a good private garden that is secure for your dog. One of the best Classic Cottages that we have stayed in.
Mr Passmore
Perfect location with the added benefit to be able to park. The coastal walks from the house to St Ives were amazing. The secure rear garden was a lovely size for all our family including the dog.
Mrs Thompson
Dreslan is a beautiful, spacious holiday home with the added advantage of on-site parking. The cottage is very comfortably furnished to a very high standard. The owner's had arranged for a welcome pack of wine, low alcohol beer, bread, butter, milk, fudge and some doggy treats which were much appreciated (other than the dog treats).
Mrs Kelly
A lovely, comfortable cottage in a great location within walking distance of St Ives harbour and town centre. The owners have clearly gone to great effort to maintain this home to a high standard, and we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The garden was wonderful- a real sun trap with sun loungers, comfortable outdoor seating and a table and chairs seating 6, which was great for having outdoor lunches with friends. There was also a basket of outdoor toys and games, plus several indoor toys and puzzles, so plenty to keep kids occupied. There is a bbq listed and pictured but unfortunately we couldn't find this during our stay. The kitchen was large and very well equipped and there was a welcome tray containing bread, butter, milk, local fudge and wine which was a very thoughtful and much appreciated gesture. We found the location perfect for day trips to St Michael's Mount, The Lizard, Penrose and various coastal walks, and of course wandering into lovely St Ives. We had a few issues with the cleaning on arrival, and a problem with the oven, but classic cottages sorted these out and offered a refund and overall we would certainly recommend this place for a wonderful, relaxing Cornish holiday.
