Reviews

A private driveway leads you to this very special home, nestled amidst breathtaking gardens surrounded by woodland and a bordering stream, Roskennals Granary is a charming two bedroom reverse level cottage which exudes character and idyllic countryside living. Meticulously restored with much love by its current owners (who live on site) and with great attention to detail, this property offers a combination of serenity and natural beauty.

Being Grade II Listed, Roskennals Granary is brimming with history. Climb the original Cornish granite steps and enter the thoughtfully designed open plan layout which seamlessly integrates a bespoke kitchen with plenty of room to prepare a feast of Cornish produce. A spacious dining-area and a sitting-area with sumptuous sofas to sink into, the highlight here being the dramatic floor to ceiling window flooding the room with natural light and offering uninterrupted views of the magnificent gardens. This feature window creates a special connection between the interior and the outdoors enhancing the tranquil ambience. A sweet wood-burner fills the space with warmth during cooler evenings.

Downstairs are two delightful bedrooms, one a king with plush linens and elegant finishes and the second a sweet twin, both with delightful traditional cottage windows overlooking the gardens and grounds. A luxury shower-room boasts a high end finish and sits between the two bedrooms.

Surrounding this delightful property are lovingly maintained gardens, featuring a wildlife pond, peaceful stream and a diverse range of plants, creating a sanctuary for guests and has local wildlife in abundance. Take a breath and admire the visiting heron, kingfishers and darting dragonflies and a wandering deer looking for fallen fruits - do have your camera ready! Your canine friend is also welcome to enjoy the holiday too.

This gorgeous home shares the beautiful surroundings with two other stunning cottages but seclusion and privacy are respected by the location of each one. Larger groups of friends or family could holiday together, Roskennals Mill (5829) sleeps five and Ellas Pottery (5831) sleeping two so why not join together and celebrate a special occasion/event in this wonderful setting?
