Enclosed by lush greenery and tropical foliage, you will discover Poldhu; a charming shepherd's hut perfect for those looking to escape the city and immerse themselves in nature. The surrounding garden features a huge variety of exotic plants and delicate flowers ensuring a unique retreat for anyone who visits. The hut's gorgeous, sun-soaked exterior is also complemented by a cosy, rustic interior meaning that rain or shine, there will always be somewhere to relax in this excellent one bed property.

Upon entering the hut, you will be greeted by an intimate interior full of character and charm. Freshly cut flowers and vibrant yellow curtains give the space a homely feel while the arched ceiling and superbly finished wooden walls cover the hut with extraordinary texture. A hugely inviting double bed sits snugly in the corner, topped with plenty of plush cushions to snuggle up with in the evening.

Wake up to the morning sun flooding through the double Dutch doors which open the space up to the freshness of its natural surroundings. Further down the hut you will find a compact kitchen with everything you will need for your cosy break. The beautiful wooden cabinets are accompanied by modern accessories such as a fridge/freezer, microwave and plug in hob, while the sturdy wooden work surface is the perfect place to prepare delicious meals. Alongside the kitchen is a charming dining-area. Enjoy relaxing breakfasts and cosy suppers on the rich wooden table and accompanying chairs while gazing out the window towards the idyllic garden.

Once with sun dips below the horizon, custom overhead lamps drench the space with their warm, restful glow, encouraging you to wind down after a busy day exploring the Cornish coastline. Select one of the complimentary books from the hand-crafted shelves or settle down on the luxurious bed and enjoy the flatscreen TV, perched above the dining-table at the end of the hut. Venture through the door located by the kitchen and you will find a delightful wood-clad bathroom with all the utilities you will need. Refresh yourself in the fabulous modern shower which accompanies a beautifully crafted toilet and sink. Outside, soak up the evening sun with the splendid garden right at your fingertips on Poldhu's raised deck.

Enjoy al fresco dining from the barbecue on the outdoor table and chairs, complete with a parasol, or take a moment on the rounded bench and listen out for the gentle trickling of the garden pond.

There is another hideaway on site Porth Chapel Cabin (4973) and Beryas Cottage (4970), but please note the properties are positioned in a way so you have plenty of privacy.

Miss Nash

Lovely, cosy shepherds hut within good distance of Penzance. Our hosts left us some lovely welcome treats and lots of local information. The hut was very clean, very well equipped and the outside area is perfect for a sunset beer or a BBQ. Thank you for a great stay!

Mr Fairbrother

This is a wonderful, secluded location with a beautiful garden and stylish, clean interior which is ideally located to explore the surrounding area. The welcome hamper was a real treat when we arrived and made our stay even better. We would recommend this to anyone wanting quiet, private accommodation.

ms Bromley

This was the first holiday in a shepherd hut and I would book another in a different location. The owner had supplied a lovely welcome hamper with Cornish treats plus fresh milk in the fridge so thoughtful after a long journey. My small dogs loved the treats plus water bowel and blankets which is considerate as a well-travelled dog owner. The owner has equipped the hut with lovely furnishings and the interior has been well designed, giving a sense of real luxury. The negative comment is the location so near a main road and the noise of traffic unable to take a walk from the shepherds’ hut unless you get in the car.

Mrs Cox

Fabulous shepherds hut, easy to find, not too much of a drive to some of the best attractions, St Michaels Mount and Hale Beach being our 2 favourite places of the week. Owners were lovely, happy to chat but didn’t disrupt your privacy. It would have been nice to have a small grassy field at the back or something to let our dog have a run but despite that we would still book this again as she still had lots of fun out and about. So relaxing to sit out on the private decking area with a coffee surrounded by tropical plants listening to the birds. We had a wonderful week and thanks to the owners who gave my husband a birthday card and some cider as a welcome gift along with a superb welcome pack of fudge, biscuits, crisps etc

Miss Dodds

The most perfect stay we have had within our own country. The cabin was perfect and like something out of another world with all the greenery- we were both in awe. Everything we needed and more! Perfect base for the likes of lands end, St Ives etc though we were just itching to get back to our beautiful base! Owners seemed lovely and are clearly doing everything right! Thanks for the memories!

Mrs Williams

Excellent property, close proximity to beautiful coastline, walks and places to visit. Very well equipped and comfortable and the outdoor area was lovely for a summer break.

Miss Chan

The instruction before arrival is clear. And there is a folder for details upon arrival which is a nice guide around the town and the amenities. The bed is comfy, the restroom is clean, very well lighted place and we love the outdoor set up and the BBQ. We love everything in Poldhu. Hope to visit again soon.

Mr Tilley

Total relaxation, Podhu exceeded our expectations and blew us away with such an amazing holiday! Bravo! Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a unique, boutique getaway; you won’t be disappointed!

miss mccrystal

Lovely stay, loved the privacy of the balcony and the view. Felt like you could be anywhere looking out the window in the morning!

Mrs Horsham

The Shepherds hut is definitely to be booked and believed.....we had such a lovely stay, comfortable and peaceful and with all the extra personal touches from the owner made it wonderful and made us feel welcome and we had a well rested holiday

Mr Brennan

I would highly recommend staying here. The Hut is well maintained, it has everything you need and you are close to a lot of beautiful coves and attractions!

Mr Read

We could not recommend this place enough for anyone looking to get away to a location that is private, scenic, and so fantastically looked after by Nigel and Karen. Tea, coffee and prosecco was provided on arrival and Nigel was so efficient in getting the WiFi sorted when it went down (not that it mattered!). Worth also noting, we got engaged here! The scenery and privacy was perfect for the morning proposal before we set off to St Ives for the day. When Nigel and Karen heard the news, they provided us with champagne and a card, which was such a lovely personal touch. It's no wonder they are responsible for somewhere we have already recommended to friends and family. We'll definitely be back!

Miss Truscott

Was amazing will be coming again soon hopefully ??

Mrs Newton

A beautiful well equipped shepherds hut in a perfect location. Immaculately clean interior so well thought out and designed to ensure our stay was comfortable. Lovely welcome package including a bottle of Prosecco, saffron buns, crisps, milk as well as plenty of tea and coffee. The weather was glorious while we stayed here and the furniture on the decking enabled us to eat and drink outside on the terrace amongst the beautiful tropical plants and firs. Nigel and his wife are so welcoming and we felt that should we have needed them to resolve any issues we could approach them.

mr ruberti

Poldhu is just the perfect choice to start exploring this amazing part of South Cornwall. The cabin is the right example of holiday hosting. Attention to details, cleanliness, equipments and service are second to none. We rarely get to the end of our holidays without anything to moan about. Poldhu was just a flawless staying and the stunning Cornish coastal area made our four days break simply unforgettable.
