Nestled in an idyllic wooded valley and with pretty meadows bordered by a meandering stream, welcome to Roskennals, a small, exclusive development of cottages in the grounds of a former mill, Ellas Pottery sleeping two, is a hidden gem.

Thoughtfully restored by its current owners, this stone cottage is a single-storey property (with a little step here and there) which seamlessly combines rustic character with modern luxury, every corner of this beautiful home has been so well considered.

Inside is a bespoke kitchen with Italian stone floors, complete with all that's required to cook up a feast in this stunning home. A snug, comfy sofa to sink into overlooking the extensive grounds with a cosy wood-burner for those chillier evenings. The elegantly designed king-size bedroom exudes comfort and style whilst the luxurious shower-room with rainfall shower is the ideal place to refresh after your day's adventures.

Outside the surrounding gardens are a true delight, all of which can be viewed from the decking (take care though as it can be slippery when wet) with a glass of wine in hand. There's an organic pond teaming with wildlife including darting dragonflies, playful otters in the distant stream, and the occasional visit from a graceful deer. Mature trees and wildflowers enclose this sweet hamlet which is a haven for relaxation allowing you to connect with nature.

Whilst Ellas Pottery shares its gardens with two other guest properties as well as the owners, it is positioned to maintain privacy and offers a sense of seclusion without isolation, you will find it hard to leave. Your canine companion is also welcome to stay.

For a special occasion, all three properties can be booked at the same time giving friends and family an opportunity to come together in a rather magical setting. Roskennals Granary (5830) sleeps four and Roskennals Mill (5829) sleeps five. Let the celebrations begin.
