The Studio

We loved The Studio. It's stylish, very well equipped and in a quiet location. I was worried that the mezzanine bedroom wouldn't offer privacy and might be too bright for sleeping, but there are great wrap around curtains so this wasn't an issue, and the bed was very comfortable. The property owner was friendly and helpful without being intrusive.

Spent a week and had a lovely and very relaxing time. Studio very well equipped in great location. Terrace is very quiet with great views and sunsets. We walked to Newlyn twice and Penzance once (6 mile round walk). We drove easily to St Ives (parked at Rugby club and got bus into the town - very reasonable price and takes away pressure of finding parking ), Falmouth, Truro, Newquay and Marizion.

We enjoyed a lovely 14 days holiday at the Studio. It is a special space which is situated next to the main house but well secluded with a view out on the fields outside of Newlyn. We were warmly welcomed by the Landlady. The Studio with its high ceiling in the main living space and large windows is very light. It offers all the necessary mod cons. We very much liked to be there!

This is our second time at The Studio, and it's ideal for visiting the near by towns of Penzance, Newlyn & Mousehole, as well as beaches on both the north & south coasts. Perfect for two people (and dog), the main living area is spacious and airy, with a nice arty vibe. The outside patio is quiet and private, and gets the sun for most of the day - perfect for a sundowner or post-beach BBQ.

The Studio is an interesting place to stay and we enjoyed reading about its history. It is very clean and well equipped. Great selection of books and original art works. Lovely outside terrace in a very quiet and peaceful location and good to be able to enjoy walks from the door.

What a wonderful stay we had at The Studio. We loved this part of Cornwall, and from our base walked much of this interesting, atmospheric and beautiful area on most days without even having to use the car. The Studio is in a nice, quiet and private location, fully equipped to cater for all needs, we loved it. A big thanks to Roelie, the perfect host!

Brilliant little hideaway, in an excellent location - close to amenities and numerous Cornish highlights! Very well equipped, and private, with a stunning view across the fields.

This is a very beautiful, very private cottage. All of the property's spaces bring their own little pleasures....the balcony off the mezzanine bedroom overlooking gorgeous countryside, the glass-roofed snug where you can lie and watch the sun go down, the open plan well-equipped kitchen-diner, the patio which feels as if you are completely immersed in he beautiful Cornish landscape.... We absolutely loved staying here and would book again in a heartbeat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Studio. So open and bright we had plenty of space to relax and particularly loved sitting out in the garden area which was a sun trap. The owners had thought of everything you might need for a week away and it was a home from home. Great location for exploring Cornwall and very handy for nearby supermarkets in Penzance.

The Studio is a light, bright, spacious and comfortable place to stay. Beautifully thought out with original artworks and books (very close to the School of Art). Well equipped (without being cluttered) and close to all the beautiful walks, coves and other sights of the area. Within walking distance of Newlyn centre just a challenging steep climb on return!

We loved The Studio and felt it was much nicer in reality than the (very nice) photos on the website . Well located up a quiet lane and with total privacy, overlooking fields, we thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It is stylishly and thoughtfully designed, comfortable, light, and has a brilliant garden with garden furniture which we really made the most of in the very hot week we were there. The film selection and art books were most welcome, as were the fans to cool the interior down. What we liked most was how well equipped this lovely open plan space was- much better than any other classic cottage we have stayed in- which we really appreciated. The owners really care about their guest experience, clearly, but are totally unobtrusive unless you need them. We would not hesitate to recommend The Studio as a stylish and comfortable base to explore the immediate area, and beyond. We had an amazing stay at this gorgeous gem of a place. It was stylish, so quiet, amazingly clean and we loved the general area. Such a lot to see and do, Newlyn Cinema, Minack Theatre, Jubilee Pool in Penzance, galleries, great places to eat etc, and we could walk to a lot of locations (the walk up the hill helped burn off the ice cream from Jelberts). Such a great stay and a wonderful part of Cornwall.

This Studio accomodation is truly unique, if you love open plan and light it’s place for you. The position at the top of Newlyn means privacy and wonderful views. The patio at the back catches sunshine all day as does the studio.Thoughtfully equipped and furnished. Great with our dog as there are paths and fields so close by.

Lovely place, exactly as described. Easy access to eg Mousehole, Lamorna cove and the peninsula but NB a car is pretty essential as the studio is located up a steep hill and is a bit of a walk from the centre. Happily there is parking! The owners are lovely and very helpful

If you love West Cornwall, original artwork, contemporary architecture, and access to some of the best beaches and coastal walks this country has to offer then this place may well fit the bill. It was perfect for our small family and the dog.

This property is a little gem, tucked away! The stay was very relaxing and the property is very well resourced with all you need to stay at home, cook and relax if not adventuring outside. Very clean and kept to a high standard, the best I've seen!! Good for families, very safe area and quiet with ample, protected (private)parking. The owners live next door but you wouldn't realise they were there. They are very kind and helpful if you need anything as well. I would highly recommend this holiday accommodation it was a very memorable stay for me and my son. Thank you

Our holiday break at The Studio was really great. The owners were very friendly and respectful, the location was picturesque and the place was well stocked. Our dog enjoyed doing zoomies on the field next door and the patio decking was secure. There was a lovely book and dvd collection and the kitchen equipment was top notch. Be prepared for early starts in the morning if you keep the bedroom door open in summer!

The studio is extremely comfortable and excellently equipped. It was very clean and tidy, pretty and full of light. Lovely and private, walking distance to the Newlyn Art School. Great local restaurants, fantastic local arthouse cinema.

Gorgeous holiday home, extremely well equipped and the perfect base for our holiday. Plenty of space for the three of us and a short walk into Newlyn, we loved it!

the Studio was one of the best properties we've ever stayed in, perfectly located for hidden secluded beaches and coves, within a stone's throw of picturesque villages like mousehole and many more, perfectly equipped with high spec items, an immaculate cottage with beautifully designed clean lines and wonderful cornish light and hosted by really friendly and hospitable owners - we loved every moment of our stay and would happily return or highly recommend to others! it was perfect for us , our dog and my mother who joined us.

Perfect cottage to stay in to enjoy beautiful Cornwall! Easy access to beaches, St Michael's Mount, St Ives and Land's end. There are so many nice restaurants to eat out but we enjoyed BBQing at the Studio the most :) It was definitely worth visiting all the way from Japan!! 5+ stars!

A lovely spring break at The Studio. Such a clean, welcoming place and tonnes to do inside and around the area. We were lucky to have a lot of sunshine so went on some local adventures. It was so easy to get to the main attractions by car. Lots of thought went into the furnishing and things you might need; DVDs, dog towels, games, puzzels, leaflets etc... very happy with the week we had. Thank you.

We immediately felt at home. Never had this excellent kitchen equiment in any other location before. The pieces of art displayed refer to the history of the place and make it really unique.

An immaculate & amazingly well equipped property which provided everything we needed, even a towel poo bags & treats for our dog! Very comfortable & welcoming. The owners were away but left a lovely welcome card with contact details for us. Would definitely book again!

Barn and house have an interesting history connected to the Newlyn Art history. The modern conversion is most attractive - the outside furniture provided is also very nice - just need good weather to make it completely functional!

We loved our week in The Studio. We have been to Newlyn and Penzance often but this was the first time we have stayed in the area and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The Studio is a great base, in a very interesting building and we would recommend it unreservedly.

It is just a beautiful cottage which I can only recommend. Perfekt equipped, nice location and very nice landlord.

A peaceful and tranquill location. Perfect patio area for sun worshipers. Lovely hosts who are non intrusive and will answer any questions you may have. Comes with a small balcony at the back that looks out onto fields/ sunset.

Highly recommended ,lovely warm owners you could feel their warmth in the way it had been furnished and decorated even down to putting a Christmas tree up for us on our arrival.

An exceptionally beautiful and well equipped holiday home. Clean comfortable and warm. It had been created lovingly by people with an eye for design. The presence of a perfect shower and efficient heating is a real selling point for us. We loved this property and would stay again without hesitation.
