Mr Walker
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Nod. The cosy accommodation is extremely comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated throughout. Bridget provided a friendly welcome, and was on hand during our stay. In addition to Lamorna Cove itself, The Nod is ideally placed to visit nearby Mousehole, Newlyn, Penzance and Marazion , and explore the West of Cornwall
Mr Luke
A lovely and well-equipped cottage in the gorgeous surrounds of Lamorna. We had a very relaxing and charming week's stay - the third time we've been to The Nod.
MR Florek
This cottage is perfect for a visit to West Cornwall. The cottage itself is very well equiped and we were greeted by the owner who lives near by and said if we had any issues to contact her. She also, if we met in the day checked that all was ok. The cottage is in a quite area just off the road that goes to Lamorna cove which is a 10 minute walk from the Cottage, we swam there early most days when it was quite. A dedicated parking space is provided for the Nod so parking was very easy. The Wink pub is very close to the cottage. The amenaties at the cottage are of a high standard, we especially enjoyed the large bed and had a week of really good night sleeps. The kitchen and living room area is large and has all the amenaties required. The Bathroom is large with a large shower and also a deep metal bath, there is a nice patio to have breakfast or evening meals. The cottage is easy to find and is located idealy for visits to Mousehole, Penzance, The Minack and mant beaches like Porthcurno and Sennen and many more, even the Lizard is not too far away. We look forward to coming again to the this perfect cottage and lacation as we love Lamorna cove. M and K

We had a lovely fortnight at the Nod. Bridget made us feel very welcome. The property is modern and very well equipped. The bedroom and bathroom were luxurious and extremely comfortable. The property was warm and benefited from central heating and a wood-burning stove which we needed to light on one evening despite it being July! We loved the location, Lamorna was beautiful and it is a short walk down to the Cove which has a lovely beach cafe. Walking up the hill the Chygurno gardens are spectacular and well worth visiting. We like the fact that the property is rural however Penzance and Newlyn are only 5 miles away and have a great range of shops and eating places. We bought amazing fish at the fishmongers at Newlyn Harbour and enjoyed wine tasting at Polgoon vineyard. We also enjoyed exploring the area , there’s lots to see and do without needing to make big journeys. We visited St Michael’s Mount, The Minack, Porthcurno beach and museum, Cape Cornwall and Sennen Cove. but we mostly spent our time pottering and making our own discoveries! We loved the little café at Pengwarra Cove which had a lovely garden and was close to the sandy beach. There is a fabulous little farm shop at St Buryan. It has excellent fresh meat and veg and a lovely cafe, the pasties and sausage rolls smelt and tasted amazing! The Mackerel Sky, in Newlyn, was a fabulous place to eat as was the cafe at Trewidden gardens. There is also a little Thai takeaway van close to Lamorna that served up tasty Thai food. One of our dogs is an escape artist and also can be overstimulated when there is too much happening. We discovered a lovely secure dog field (Boscarne ) which we took him to every day. It’s near the farm shop at St Buryan and booking on line is easy.
Mr Langley
Our stay at The Nod was brilliant ! Bridget was there to welcome us warmly and the apartment is beautifully set in this charming woodland valley. Its very spacious, tastefully furnished and well equipped throughout . There were even treats left for the dogs to enjoy !! - lovely touch ! Would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone seeking a tranquil retreat and we will definitely be visiting again.
Mr Benton
Bridget the owner is a lovely welcoming and friendly lady. Always there for help and advice, but not intrusive Off road parking is excellent The bed is massive and very comfortable Huge bath and shower and always ample hot water The cottage is perfect for exploring the south coast Porthcurno is a must visit The coastal walk straight from the cottage to Mousehole is really tough and strenuous but well worth it The Wink pub across the road does an amazing Sunday roast We had a fab two weeks and was very lucky with the weather, if we return to south Cornwall we would not hesitate to book the Nod again
Mr Dawson
The Nod was a lovely, comfortable cottage, everything you needed was there. Everything was of a very high standard and very clean. Bridget the owner, was lovely. We had a lovely welcome from her on our arrival and she was there to say goodbye at the end of our week's holiday, which is something we havent experienced from Classic Cottage owners in recent years. We would definitely love to come and stay again at The Nod, maybe when the weather was a little more kind to us, and we would have no problem recommending this to anybody who was looking to stay in Lamorna Cove.
Mrs Bennett
The Nod is a gorgeous, cosy, tastefully decorated apartment in a lovely quiet setting a short walk from Lamorna Cove. It is extremely well equipped. Bridget was lovely - very warm and welcoming making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again. Added bonus - it’s dog friendly!
Mrs Kitchen
Excellent stay at the Nod with our dog. Wonderful welcome, great quality, everything was perfect, even the weather!
Mr Belgrove
Our third visit to The Nod in two years which I guess indicates our liking for the place! Beautifully clean and well fitted out with everything you might need. Bridget, the delightful host, is always on hand and nothing is too much trouble for her. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.
Mrs McGee
A well appointed and comfortable apartment. The problem we encountered was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the housekeeper/owner. Local pub situated just across the road in a very quiet, wooded area. A short walk to Lamorna Cove.
Mrs Bulpitt
A fantastic property that has everything you would need for a stay with lovely little touches such as art work. Furnished beautifully to a high standard. Less then 10 mins walk to beautiful cove and a local pub with friendly locals. Our dog was made just as welcome as we were.
Mrs Davis
All my go to site when planning holidays easy to use and all details correct. Thank you for your service
Mrs Thomas
We had a great week at the Nod. A wonderful peaceful place to stay situated in a beautiful part of Cornwall. The property was scrupulously clean and had everything that you may need for your stay. The welcome gifts, from our very friendly and helpful host, were also a great surprise and very much appreciated. There are plenty of great walks right on the doorstep but if you want to stay closer to home it is a short stroll to the cove with a great little café.
Mr Luke
Lovely place for two people set in a lovely valley leading down to Lamorna Cove. Plenty of places nearby for walking and/or visiting. Second time we've been and just as good as the first time.
Mrs Hall
Delightful and comfortable holiday home, near to a lovely cove Also, close to many beautiful Cornish towns and villages Highly recommended
Mr Bowtell
A warm and cosy atmosphere with some little extras to sample! Very quiet and relaxing all you need for a holiday.
Mr Belgrove
Excellent accommodation for two (plus a dog). The Nod exceeded our expectations - great location, beautifully presented with everything you might need, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Bridget, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend and I hope we can make a return visit very soon.
Miss Belcher
Absolutely wonderful stay at The Nod in Lamorna, West Cornwall. The cottage had absolutely everything we could have needed, very comfortable and a great base to explore West Cornwall. A lovely host too! Just one thing to note - Cornwall is known for its narrow roads and hills, please bare this in mind if you plan to drive to places! Not a problem if prepared.
Ms Diccoco
Location is stunning, five min walk from the cove, across road from the village pub. The cottage has everything you need and is equipped to a high standard, loved the decor and the personal artworks by the owner! Not one single negative point.
Mrs Carter
Sadly our stay was cut short after 3 days due to become ill, we were gutted! We had looked forward to it for so long! The 3 days we had there were lovely, we loved the little details, the maps, books, local business recommendations, fresh ice in the freezer! Highly recommended the above
Mrs Taylor
The Nod exceeded our expectations. The drive to the cottage was magical with the bluebells in bloom. Every detail had been thought of in the cottage, we could not have asked for more (apart from sunshine). Despite the bad weather we had an amazing week, Bridget was a superb host. Wonderful week, we will definitely return.
Mrs Crowther
A lovely property. Constant hot water and heating as required. I really enjoyed staying at the The Nod.
Mr Bebb
We've stayed here before our latest stay three weeks ago and we're going back for more this September, which should tell you all that you need to know. Just a wonderful property in an incredible location - Lamorna valley is one of the most special places in this special county. Everything that you need for a cosy stay and Bridget the property owner could not be more perfect as a host. The roll top bath after long days walking the Cornish cliffs is the icing on the cake.
Mr Southwell
The Nod is very comfortable, made ourselves at home It is so nice to see The Wink Public house and Restaurant open, Wednesday till Sunday, especially if you don’t want to travel, we use public transport, open top buses, at the top of the road, St Ives one way and Penzance the other, such a treat, and no parking, 9 1/2 times out of 10 always on time C.southwell
Mrs Millage
We have used Classic Cottages over many years and have always found the accommodation to be of a high standard and The Nod was no exception. We would definitely consider staying there again and will definitely be using Classic Cottages next time we’re looking for self catering accommodation.
Mrs Pope
The Nod is a very comfortable and cosy place to stay. It was spotlessly clean and we were made to feel very welcome by Bridget. A very peaceful and relaxing spot just a short walk from the cove.
Mr Sheldon
We had a great stay in the Nod - it's really comfortable, well furnished and well equipped. Bridget offers the warmest of welcomes and the apartment is situated in a stunning - but quiet - part of West Cornwall. The lovely cove is a 5 minute walk; the stroll to Mousehole along the coast path is worth every step. If you're looking for a bit of peace and tranquility, we would recommend it unreservedly.
Mr Campbell
The Nod is is a very comfortable and peaceful place to stay, perfect for two people. Lamorna is charming and it is easy to reach the rest of West Penwith if you want to go further afield. The hosts were very helpful, it was a perfect week in a lovely place.
Miss Sinclair
We had a fantastic stay at the Nod. The house was perfect for two - beautifully furnished to a high standard. Simon (our host) was great - he was extremely helpful in providing local recommendations and went above an beyond to make sure we had a wonderful holiday. We also enjoyed the location - it is only a few minutes walk down to Lamorna Cove with easy access to the South West Coastal path, down which it is a beautiful c.40 minute walk to Mousehole. We'd thoroughly recommend it!
Mr Tayler
The Nod is a fabulous base to explore West Penwith. Very comfortable and well-equipped.
Mr Luke
Wonderfully looked after retreat for a couple. Lamorna Cove is great for walking and enjoying the view. Covid shut the Pub unfortunately but hopefully that will return in 2021.
Mr Crew
Beautiful place, airy, quite...just brilliant!
Mr Trump
An exceptionally comfortable property in a wonderful, quiet and picturesque location. Faultless.
Mr Choules
Ideal size for a couple. Lovely big bed and plenty of living space. Off street parking is available right by the house (a must in Cornwall these days). Short stroll to the cove and access to beautiful coastal walks. It's a long way to go from anywhere in the UK and it is a little remote - other than the pub over the road or the cafe by the beach it's a drive to anywhere else (or a fairly strenuous walk). However, it is within easy reach of Newlyn, Penzance, St Ives and the Minack theatre. Worth a visit.
Mr Burroughs
Lovely quiet place to stay.
Mrs Laing
Absolutely fabulous place for a Cornish sojourn. Beautifully appointed and super friendly host in the shape of Bridget. Had a wonderful week in spring, chilling out and exploring west Cornwall. Can recommend highly enough.
Mr Blair
The lovely pictures of the interior of the Nod do not lie. This is exactly what you get. A very comfy bed, lovely bathroom plus shower, luxurious open-plan kitchen and cosy lounge. A veritable home from home. For the safety conscious the living areas also have hotel-standard fire alarms which I inadvertently tested by burning the toast!! Overall a most enjoyable holiday retreat in a very lovely part of Cornwall.
Mrs Knight
Such a pretty, comfortable home from home. Dogs well catered for which is a plus.
Mr Langley
Very comfortable accommodation in an incredibly beautiful and peaceful setting. Highly recommended!
Ms Newton
We had a wonderful time at The Nod. Bridget was extremely helpful and accommodating and we couldn't have wished for anything more. We had everything we needed in the apartment, it was like home from home. Lamorna Cove is a beautiful location, easy access to the SW coastal path and some amazing walks. We can't wait to return!
Mrs Clarke
The cottage was finished to a high specification, with lovely finishing touches providing luxury and comfort. The Nod did not disappoint on any level, the cottage was well equipped with everything you would need for your stay, the finishing touches add luxury and comfort making for a relaxing holiday in a lovely location. This is defiantly somewhere we will be returning to.
Miss Coley
Our stay at the Nod was delightful. The place is super stylish and equipped to the highest standard. The location is dreamy, a real getaway but still close enough to the bright lights of Newlyn and Penzance. Such a generous owner too, on hand to help us with anything we needed. Perfect holiday!
Ms Geeson-Brown
Any of the above comments.
Mrs Graham
The Nod is a beautifully furbished apartment. It was a pleasure to spend our weeks holiday there!!
Mr Waddell
The Nod is a fantastic holiday let. Bridget has thought of every detail and the finish, decor and ambiance of the cottage are superb. Lamorna is a beautiful location and within easy reach of the bigger Cornish tourist destinations. We had a really enjoyable and relaxing stay at The Nod and would thoroughly recommend it to others.
