Nestled away in gorgeous tranquil countryside you'll find Annie's View, a truly delightful shepherd's hut ideal for a cosy couple's retreat to the beautiful county of Devon. With wonderful wood-clad interiors and fabulous views across the surrounding meadow, you'll be hard-pressed to find a shepherd's hut as charming as Annie's View.

Wander in through the fantastic, covered entrance way and you'll be greeted by a wonderfully spacious open plan living space. A brilliant wood-burning stove sits snugly in the corner, keeping the hut nice and toasty in the cold winter months. Enjoy the fire from one of many cosy seating areas dotted around the cabin, with rustic armchairs and a cushioned wooden bench providing ideal spots to relax in the evenings. During the day, large windows flood the hut with crisp natural light providing the perfect atmosphere to cook up a hearty breakfast in the compact but well-equipped kitchen-area. Here you will find everything you'll need to prepare delicious warming meals, with an electric two ring hob, electric oven, fridge with built-in ice-box and microwave all tucked away under the beautiful wooden worktop. Once you've finished cooking, settle down and enjoy your meal at the intimate dining-table, ideal for romantic meals together with your loved one.

To the right of the hut you'll find a doorway that leads through the wonderfully snug bedroom which houses an inviting double bed topped with plush cushions and cosy blankets. For little ones, the bench seat converts into a snug single bed, perfect for children up to the age of 12 years old. After a great night's sleep head over to the shower-room and enjoy a refreshing shower.

Outside, perch on the wooden steps up the cabin with a cup of coffee and enjoy the views across the peaceful surrounding meadow. A delightful outdoor seating area is great for a spot of al fresco dining on those warm summer evenings while you cosy up with a glass of something special and gaze up to the starry night's sky.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Miss Chell

We loved our stay at Annie’s view, it was in a lovely remote setting but still close to local shops, villages by car. I love how the property accepts dogs. The overall standard of the property was done to a high standard and the decor just made the feel of the hut so cosy, relaxing and quirky. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quiet get away.

Miss Fairhurst

I stayed at Annie’s View for a week in August 2024. I particularly enjoyed the peace and tranquility this lovely place had to offer. The accommodation was very clean and very well organised and comfortable. A lovely welcome from the owners, thank you. I great place to have a respite break. Friend over for lots of respite chats. I would recommend this for anyone wanting a quiet break away for a while. I will be visiting again!!!

Mrs Down

We had the perfect cosy evening for New Years Eve at Annie's View. Would definitely love to go back and stay again!

Ms Adams

Amazing place to stay if you want to get away from it all, so peaceful. Accommodation is of a very high standard, everything you could possibly need is there for you. We had a lovely 2 night break

Mr Andrews

Having been a regular glamper over the years, this is up there with the best. Large inside with all you need to have a good stay with very helpful owners on site if needed

Mrs Booker

We took our dog to this wonderful shepherds hut for a weekend in February. We hadn't really done much in the way of advanced preparation but we didn't need to as the property was extremely well equipped - nothing more and nothing less than was required - and so very clean and comfortable. Although the hut is in the field just next to the owners' home, they were extremely respectful of our privacy and we felt really peaceful in our beautiful spot on the hill. It was a really fun place to 'play home' in for two days and the dog was in heaven having freedom to race around sniffing and chasing balls without having to be asked to be let out! The underfloor heating and log burner were a huge bonus during this February weekend too. Bliss! I have already sent the details to other friends in Bristol looking for a weekend getaway!

Mr Griffin

We stayed here for a long weekend as a couple plus dog. The Shepherds hut must be new and everthing was immaculate, very clean. Also it was bigger than I expected, and well equipped. Views are wonderful, and it is at the top end of a large meadow so loads of space for the dog to run. Haven't stayed in a shepherds hut before so wasnt sure what to expect - especially in January - but not only does it have a wood stove, but underfloor heating!! Very toasty. Wifi available (if you wanted it) and owner was very helpful with suggestions of whats about and where to eat. Well recommended to get away from it all.

Mrs Doran

Beautifully presented and secluded place to stay. Ideal for a romantic weekend in the stunning Devon countryside and close to the coast.

Mr Crosby

We enjoyed an Easter break at Annie’s View, a lovely location, very cosy and clean and well located for walks along the coast and the beautiful Devon countryside. We wish we had spent longer and had more time to go to some of the great local pubs and explore a bit more. And even though we were at the start of spring the hut was warm and cosy. Hopefully we’ll be back
