White Hart Cottage
Perfectly situated on a quiet street in the centre of the pretty town of Colyton, White Hart Cottage is a lovingly restored Devonshire cottage, furnished with gorgeous contemporary styling whilst retaining beautiful traditional features.
Colyton is a quaint town with pretty, traditional thatched cottages nestled on the banks of the river Axe surrounded by beautiful countryside. A holiday here places everything you need on your doorstep including gorgeous walks, places to eat and a tram which will take you through two nature reserves to the Devon coast at Seaton, a mere three miles away. White Hart Cottage is a delight and ideal for families looking for a holiday to remember or a group of friends seeking a Devon escape, and you can even bring your four-legged friend along too!
Situated in the old quarter of town, White Hart Cottage really is a special home and from the moment you step over the threshold you will see why. The ground floor is fabulous, with wooden floors throughout and a restored feature fireplace with a gorgeous wood-burner for cooler months. Stylishly furnished, two super comfy sofas invite you to relax after a busy day and enjoy a movie on the Smart TV or enjoy the endless channels available via the SKY package. Head through to the dining-area where everyone can gather around the table to enjoy a holiday meal, or perhaps play a board game. The super sleek kitchen flows seamlessly from the dining-area and here you'll find everything you need to create a culinary delight, with natural light flooding in through the Velux windows. There's even a dishwasher so no arguing about the washing up here! There's a handy utility-room with a washing machine and a cloakroom with a WC and wash-basin completes the ground floor accommodation.
Climb the stairs to the first floor and three beautiful bedrooms await, all dressed with gorgeous linens. Bedroom one is a lovely double-bedded room with a pretty bedstead and decorated in subtle grey tones. Bedroom two is as pretty as a picture with a comfy king-size bed and walk-in dressing area. Bedroom 3 is a single bedded room and either an adult or a child will feel at home in this cosy room. The family bathroom on this floor is super stylish with a gorgeous bath and rainfall shower over (please mind the step down into the bathroom).
Outside White Hart Cottage a cute courtyard provides the perfect backdrop for morning coffee, afternoon tea or dinner from the gas barbecue. With hanging creepers, pretty plants, a chimenea and bistro table and chairs this beautiful setting is reminiscent of holidays in the Mediterranean. This fabulous, enclosed space also offers a great area for storing bikes and drying wetsuits.
White Hart Cottage is a fabulous contemporary holiday retreat where you will want to stay for ever.

Excellent. wonderful furnishings and I saw an Osprey at the nearby nature reserve.
Mr McNamee
The cottage was lovely - a fab mixture of traditional and contemporary, finished to a very high standard. Myself and my family loved it, and we would definitely come back. Colyton was a brilliant base for exploring the coast and fossil hunting, it really does have everything you need. The Seaton tramway is walkable from the house (we have an 11 year old and a 3 year old) and is a fantastic way to get to Seaton.
Mrs Dixon
A very comfortable and well equipped cottage in a charming and peaceful village
Mrs Smith
A wonderfully decorated property that is welcoming and comfortable. Our midwinter stay was the perfect opportunity to enjoy the wood burner and snuggle on the sofa. All of the bedrooms were lovely and comfortable the kitchen was homely space to cook up some delicious diners after some cold wet days hunting for fossils. The butchers in the market place is a must-try the award winning pies, and if you fancy heading out, the Kingfisher is a great friendly local pub.
Mrs Russell

We fell in love with this cottage, A stunning cottage in a beautiful village. High quality fixtures and fittings, with everything you need. The village has everything you need for your stay. Highly recommend the butchers for a bbq, and the Kingfisher pub for meals out. The tram is a definite must to Seaton going through two nature reserves at which you can get off the tram , a lovely little tea room just down the road from the station.
