Toby's Hut

Toby's Hut was the most peaceful, cosy and colourful haven in an absolutely stunning spot. It surpassed all of our expectations and we had a wonderful weekend, even with stormy weather raging outside!

Absolutely sensational! We'd never stayed in a Shepherds Hut before but this exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a tranquil getaway for one or two people. The location was incredible - so tranquil and private but with easy driving access to Lyme Regis if you want to pop out for a trip to the beach or a meal. The hut was easy to find with the instructions given and we had the most wonderful weekend ever. Thank you.

Amazing location with an incredible view. The shepherds hut is wonderfully decorated and includes everything you'd need. The hot tub is a fantastic extra to relax in after a nice long walk. We loved it and will hopefully book again.

What a location!! The views are simply breathtaking. Pictures don’t do this property justice. Completely out of the way of everything but with the bonus of WiFi & phone signal which was a must for me to be able to contact my small children at home. Clare was a fantastic host. The little treats left in the fridge are a thoughtful touch, Made by her daughter. The hot tub was amazing, on at all times so ready any time of the day or night. We went for my partners 40th birthday surprise & he loved it just as much as me. Everything was very clean. If you want a relaxing, romantic break away this is the place for you! Don’t try & fill your days with things to go & do just enjoy the location & you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to come back again, thank you Clare x

Absolutely beautiful location, great accommodation (the hut has wifi, electricity, hot water, good water pressure, and is lovely and cosy!), and Clare / Georgina were both on-hand for any questions or concerns.. (not that we had any!)

Another lovely stay at Toby’s hut. It’s beautiful come rain or shine with the hot tub to warm you up on the cooler days. The view is gorgeous and we always feel well looked after. Lovely attention to detail with fresh milk and tasty brownies. The perfect place for a couple of days to unwind. We will be back again…

What a wonderful location, fabulous views, great hot tub. A friendly welcome with a bonus of some tasty treats. Comfortable bed. Wood burner that kept us entertained for hours. This has been a really enjoyable holiday for a couple of camping/glamping novices.

This is such a gem of a stay - we had the best, most relaxing time ever! Tricia who met us was friendly and helpful, and gave us such a warm welcome. The views are unspoilt and breathtaking, the hut is cosy and homely and beautifully decorated, and the hot tub is a massive bonus!! We've stayed in other huts, but none are anywhere near as nice as this. Can't wait to come back in the future.

This was our second visit to Toby's Hut and it was as good as the first time. The hut is in a beautiful location with breathtaking views over Marchwood Vale. It is well worth getting up early to see the Sunrise! It really is a slice of heaven with nothing but songs of the birds or the distant rumble of a nearby tractor to disturb the peace.

Toby’s Hut was a lovely little getaway venue. The surrounding farm land made for a very peaceful stay, and the area is very secluded. Lyme Regis and Charmouth are only 15 minutes away. We made good use of the hot tub and fire pit! Good value for money too. Highly recommended.

This was a unique find! A beautiful location, characterful shepherds hut and with the added bonus of a hot tub! Loads of facilities for cooking and comfy bed. All in all a great two night mini trip! Highly recommend x

Our stay at Tobys hut was lovely. We have stayed in many sheperd type huts but Tobys hut is one of the best, if not best, we have stayed at. Its also one of the biggest which make all the difference. Lovely location, stunning views, close to the coast and a hot tub you won't want to get out of. Pet friendly clean, with great facilities. An amazing stay.....highly recommended.

Perfect place for getting away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives and town living. Slept so well in the comfy bed and waking up to the view across the valley was heavenly. So close to the coast and a great base for exploring the area. But also quite happy to just stay at Toby's Hut and sit in the gorgeous hot tub with a glass of wine. Would absolutely recommend and look forward to returning soon.

Clare was a lovely host and welcomed us when we arrived and saw us off before we left. Toby’s hut was very welcoming and a lovely place for our 3 day visit to the area I would definitely recommend Toby’s hut to anyone and would definitely have stayed longer if we could Beautiful surroundings and very scenic, was welcomed by a field of sheep for our final morning which was a pleasant surprise Thoroughly enjoyed the use of the hot tub and hammock in the early hours of the morning and late at night watching the sun set over the field Overall experience 10/10

Toby's Hut is a lovely place in a stunning location. The little touches including the sweet treats were most welcome. The owner is lovely, do take the opportunity to view her lovely gardens and amazing sculptures.

Fantastic little hut with everything there you need, the views are amazing, the little garden is great and the hot tub looking into the valley and hills is a wow, highly recommended we will be going back.

What a beautiful peaceful location! Looking out at the view from the hot tub on a sunny morning was divine. The hut itself is really cosy, we enjoyed having the radio and a break from tv and computers to really relax and recharge. Clare was lovely and welcomed us when we arrived. Our dog loved the freedom to run around, and warm up in front of the wood burner in the evening. Would 100% recommend!

I had the most relaxing, reviving and peaceful stay at Toby’s Hut. The little property is very well equipped, the bed is super comfy and the shower is hot. There is a radiator and a wood burner and a microwave & hot plate, along with a BBQ and a fire out outside. The views are incredible and sitting in the hot tub after a day exploring the beaches and the beautiful forests and woods in the surrounding area, is sublime. I sat there as the day turned to darkness and really enjoyed the solitude the hut offers. The host is lovely and showed me round her amazing garden full of the most beautiful sculptures. Really beautiful art. Apart from me going over to the house requesting to see them, I didn’t see anyone else at all around the property. It’s so peaceful. I went alone for a much needed break and took with me my little dog, she also loved it, the garden is enclosed so she could run around as much as she liked and kept coming back to check on me in the hot tub! I have already reserved again, it’s an absolute find.

A wonderful place, perfect place to relax and unwind. Beautiful location and close to the Jurassic coast so lots to see. Our 6 month old Labrador had the most wonderful time running around the paddock and fields, check for sheep first! Lovely evenings in the hot tub and baked potatoes on the fire pit. We will be coming back!

Excellent shepherd's hut. Presented in superb condition: beautifully decorated, clean, tidy, comfortable and well maintained in every respect - a very high-class facility. And the outdoor hot tub, which allowed us to relax while soaking up the wonderful countryside views, only served to enhance our stay. Toby’s hut is such a find. A real gem set in the beautiful Dorset countryside. The views are stunning. The hot tub is amazing. In fact everything about our stay was perfect. Toby’s hut is so close to lovely Bridport and Lyme Regis. So a great base to explore the beautiful Jurassic coast.

If you want peace and quiet and lovely views and no TV, just a radio ! Which was bliss. Places to go a few miles here or there, a lovely hut with everything you need. As you can tell from our review we absolutely loved it ! Perfect for our dog to run around and be safe with the fence all around secure

The whole experience was superb. If I could I would prescribe a week here for all my friends. Claire is so kind and friendly. The hut is beautiful snd the setting is sublime. I can't wait to get back there and my little dog is still sulking thst we had to leave.

We had a wonderful week at Toby's hut! The hut has everything you could need and more. The outdoor hot tub, fire pit and bbq were perfect and we found tlwe really didn't lack anything while we were there! Our dog loved it there, though we made sure to keep an eye on her at all times as the sheep come close to the fence (we loved this, our doggo wasn't so sure) but she ultimately had the best time doing dog stuff. The hut is close to the seaside and Bridport isn't far away which has all the normal shops. All in all a 10 out of 10 week and we will certainly be back!

An amazing place, Toby’s hut has everything you need. The views are amazing and its nice and secluded so very quiet and relaxing but still close enough to everything. The hot tub was lovely and our dog enjoyed it too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Toby's Hut. It exceeded our expectations entirely. We spent both evenings in the hot tub which was 39 degrees and perfect! We were lucky enough to have a clear first night and saw shooting stars from the tub. The facilities were brilliant, the hut was warm, the views were outstanding. All round it was an absolutely perfect weekend and we will certainly be staying again.

Had such a lovely stay at Toby’s Hut. The location is beautiful and the design and thought put into the hut itself is wonderful. It had everything you could possibly need with the bonus of a hot tub. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. I’ll be highly recommending to anyone and hope to come back and visit soon.

Beautiful location if you just want to chill. Not so good if you wanted to go walking or go out to dinner in the evening as its very remote.

This small slice of heaven is in the perfect location. We genuinely never heard a vehicle noise the whole week. The views are gorgeous. There are lovely walks straight from the picket gate in front of the hut and the hot tub is so inviting when you return from your walk. The hut provides for all your basic needs with a lovely shower room and comfortable bed. The outside space is very private and Clare is an attentive host. We had the most relaxing week, if you need to recharge - plug in here ????

We visited tobys hut for our honeymoon. We had the perfect weekend. We had a bbq and sat in the hottub in the dark looking at the stars. We visited the beautiful nearby places. It was a well needed break and we enjoyed it so much we didn't want to leave.

We had the most amazing stay at Tony’s Hut- the location and views were stunning and the owner Clare couldn’t have been more helpful.

My partner and I stayed stayed at the hut for 2 nights this November. We were looking for a relaxing, cosy, secluded weekend away and that’s exactly what we got. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed to have cosy dinner nights in. Waking up to a flock of sheep in the field ahead was the perfect country feel. I can’t forget the mention the hot tub. It was the perfect temperature to soak into after a day of walking, which was ready and heated at all times. Sitting in under the night sky was just wonderful. We loved it!

We really enjoyed our second stay at Toby's Hut, we finally met Claire and had a lovely relaxing time. We'll be back next year.

Beautifully decorated with stunning views and very secluded. A wonderful place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Toby’s hut is quaint and beautiful. The surroundings are picturesque and the hut had everything we needed. We met the owner on the last day, as we were leaving and she was so lovely. I could not recommend enough for a romantic couples get away!! Oh and fab for dogs too!! Our little pup loved it!!

What a dreamy place to stay! The hut is perfectly formed with everything you could need fitted neatly into this clever space without compromising on comfort. The pictures showed the gorgeous views from the hut but they were even more breathtaking in person. A beautiful retreat and really dog friendly!

We had the most wonderful stay at Tobys hut! The view is amazing and even better when sat in the hot tub. The hut has everything you need and more and waking up to the sheep each morning is surprisingly lovely. We can’t wait to come back.

Toby's Hut is a beautifully appointed shepherd's hut, perfect for a romantic break. We loved the colour scheme, the fittings and the thought that had been put into everything. We didn't see anyone for our 2 day stay, and that suited us. We wouldn't normally go back somewhere, there's many places to try, but may well make an exception for this. Our dog loved roaming the little paddock (OK, she's not liable to want to escape, other dogs might leap the fence!). Sitting in the hot tub in the rain, glass in hand, looking over the rolling hills was a wonderful experience. The farmhouse garden is also a pleasant feature, with interesting sculptures and different areas with different vibes.

Had a wonderful stay at Toby's Hut. Clare was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the spectacular views across the hills. Had everything I needed; hot shower, flushing loo, cooking facilities, electricity, wood burner, hot tub (!). Perfectly situated for lovely walks on Lambert's Hill and across the Golden Cap. All in all, a very peaceful and rejuvenating stay. Thank you very much!

Tobys Hut is a hideaway like no other, as you walk up to it you have no idea of the stunning and spectacular views that are about to unveil their beauty to you. A truly tranquil and relaxing place that does not disappoint.

Lovely quirky hut full of nice touches, very comfortable and well appointed, with amazing views and very private. We had a relaxing time away from it all and the owner was very friendly when she came over to check on us. The indoor and outdoor space was perfect for the two of us and Toby, our Parson Jack Russell (but the sheep on the field next to us were a little bit too much for him when they arrived on the last day! ??)
