Tucked away on the edge of the sweet little village of Combpyne in Devon, Marlborough Cottage is a quintessential, thatched Grade II Listed cottage in a peaceful and secluded location, however only a few miles from the iconic town of Lyme Regis, which is bustling with wonder, activity and a superb selection of beaches to enjoy.

Back at the cottage, step inside to discover the charming interiors, starting with the lovely, spacious kitchen with a warming Aga and a dining space perfect for sociable dinners. The kitchen leads through to the wonderful sitting-room with beamed ceilings and a beautiful inglenook fireplace, where you can sink into the sofas and warm your toes in front of the wood-burning stove. Spend cosy evenings perched on the pretty window seat, an ideal spot to get lost in your chosen holiday read.

Venture outside to discover the idyllic garden with an outdoor dining space for summertime suppers. Wander through the peaceful paths leading to the oh-so-lovely wildflower meadow and the summer-house, the perfect spot to sit back with a book and a morning coffee. Spend blissful afternoons relaxing on the sun loungers and soaking up the stunning countryside views, with a glass of bubbly in hand. Mr Osborne

The cottage is a delight and its setting in a quiet valley helps to create a lovely sense of tranquillity. It is well equipped and comfortable and the owners are regularly updating the offering. The garden and summer house are lovely. We have stayed on numerous occasions because we find it so restful after living in London. In short, we love it!

Mrs Piper

Lovely cottage in beautiful area. Very peaceful and great views.

Mr Russell

Lovely location, but unsuitable for those unsteady on their feet, due to steep stairs.

Mr Bone

A decent sized cottage in an excellent location for good walks, both in the countryside and for the coast. The cottage is well heated being warm and snug in winter. It has a large garden with lawns and flower beds together with outbuildings containing games equipment suitable for children. The garden furniture is wooden and not as comfortable as it looks.

Mr Osborne

My wife and I love staying at Marlborough Cottage and keep coming back, summer and winter. Its setting, in a beautiful valley, is tranquil. The house is quiet and comfortable; the garden is a treat.

Mrs Bridge

We had such a wonderful stay at Marlborough Cottage! The cottage and garden were beautiful and well maintained, and we were so impressed by the thoughtful details such as fresh flowers in the house, biscuits for the dog and blankets for the sofa (also for the dog). The cottage was extremely well equipped, especially the kitchen. The owner was brilliant, so helpful and welcoming in her messages and provided some fantastic recommendations which made our holiday perfect! We can't wait to return.

Mr Osborne

Marlborough Cottage is a delightful English country cottage. The setting is exquisite, in a beautiful and peaceful valley. The garden and summer house are lovely. We have stayed at least six times in the last three years or so (summer and winter) and will be returning.

Mr Slocombe

A lovely place and one of the very best holiday cottages we've stayed in.

Mr Wood

As a family of 4 adults & 2 young boys we had a lovely holiday in Marlborough Cottage. It was very comfortable & cosy & well equipped. The garden was a joy for young lads & it was an added pleasure to have our spaniel dog with us too. We particularly liked coming back after busy days to somewhere quiet & peaceful. It is a typical country cottage but with all modern needs & perfect for a holiday. Thank you!

Mr Claypole

Excellent cottage rural quiet location Enjoyed our stay enormously

Mrs Hale

Lovely, cosy cottage.

Mrs OToole

Our stay at Marlborough Cottage was absolutely delightful, with the cottage being spacious and well equipped and on a very quiet road and the garden being lovely, with many different areas to sit or play in. It was within easy reach of Lyme Regis, Seaton and Axminster and there were many different walks to explore the countryside.

Mr Bone

A generous sized cottage with a huge garden which was thoughtfully equipped and with facilities for both young and old. Well placed for many walks in the Devon countryside and the Devon/Dorset coast.
