We had a delightful stay. The owner could not have been more welcoming and showed us around when we got there. Everything you need for a short stay. We took full advantage of the snug cabin in the evening and even the weather - high winds and rain - couldn't dampen our enjoyment.

What a lovely place to stay! Such a picturesque location, so peaceful, complete with beautiful sheep in the field opposite the cabin, and with the benefit of well equipped facilities, including wifi and an excellent bathroom. There were many thoughtful touches, such as the bottle of prosecco when we arrived; we used the barbecue and enjoyed eating out on the terrace and the owner was helpful and friendly. The perfect place to relax, ‘ far from the madding crowd’; take a Thomas Hardy novel with you or whatever floats your boat and enjoy! Highly recommended!

Perfect stay. Very comfortable and well equipped given it's a shepherds hut all be it very special one. Great location, peaceful and very pretty sheep!

If you are looking for a place to relax then this is the place for you. Having never stayed in a shepherds hut before we chose this as it came with the additional relaxation hut and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The owners recommended a couple of local pubs to try and we were not disappointed. The Thimble inn at Piddlehinton is a must and if you like seafood then The Anchor inn at Burton Bradstock is for you. The information suggests that the trains stop running around 9pm, this is more like 11pm but doesn’t really affect you.

A hidden gem! We had a wonderful stay at La Cabine Francaise - super helpful owners/hosts, a beautiful peaceful location and a special shepherd's hut with everything you could need. Will definitely recommend.

We thought this cabin looked lovely when we booked it, but the reality was even better! So rural and relaxing and picturesque, and the hosts were great too. Great place to come and unwind while taking in the local sights. One tip tho - bring your own hairdryer.

A unique and delightful place to stay- glamping but turned up a couple of notches The location is beautiful and so much locally to see but just as lovely to stay there and have a really relaxing few days We would recommend

If you want to get away from the stresses of the everyday stay here. If you want countryside, cliffs, coasts, beaches, good places to eat or just time to yourselves to listen to music, read a good book or listen to the owls at night you need to book this place

A lovely cabin in an idyllic location. It really was an absolute delight to open the doors every morning to such a stunning location. Our holidays usually involve lots of travelling around and visiting other places, but we were happy to just stay and take advantage of the gorgeous surroundings. Really well thought out accommodation, comfortable bed, lovely welcome hamper, and all the equipment you need for a relaxing stay. We can't wait to go back, in fact we've already booked our next stay.

Wonderful long weekend stay. Fabulous location, peaceful and scenic. The three huts were just perfect, we had everything we needed. Really appreciated the little extra treats left for us by the owners. Would return in a heartbeat .

We had a wonderful stay at La Cabine Francaise. The shepherds hut had everything we needed and the bed was so comfortable. The owners were very welcoming and on-hand if we needed them for anything. We will definately visit again and highly recommend this property for a peaceful getaway.

We would like to return! It was incredibly cosy and peaceful! The welcoming basket was a really nice touch and it all felt really inviting. My daughter also really enjoyed seeing Coco the sheep. The owners were very kind and helpful. Loved to reading corner. Great sense of calm in all the greenery.

Stunning setting, fun and quirky - we loved it!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect. We were lucky with the weather. The bed was very comfortable. We made use of the sun loungers in the shade of the big oak tree. The reclining sofa in the relaxation hut was heaven in the evening. Watching the black faced sheep was very entertaining! The welcome pack was much appreciated…..tasty Dorset cookies, tea, coffee and a bottle of fizz….perfect. Plus, a beautiful area to explore.
