Avon beach, Christchurch Harbour, the New Forest National Park and the Jurassic Coast are all nearby to this holiday bolthole. The cool shades of blue and the plantation shutters evoke thoughts of sunshine and the seaside. The ocean is just a 10 minute walk, which will take you to Avon beach or Mudeford Quay.

All on one level, the open plan interior creates a very sociable space where all the family can be together. There are three bedrooms, one with the addition of a compact en suite and a shower-room, offering stylish and flexible accommodation. A bonus room off the kitchen is a useful multi-purpose space, combining the facilities of both a games-room and a utility-room, with plenty of room to store bikes. The wall-mounted Smart TV in the open plan living-room offers Netflix, a perfect addition for those family film nights spent on the comfy sofas, with seating for six.

This is the ideal base to take advantage of the surrounding attractions or simply relax in the comfort of the enclosed garden, which your dog can also enjoy.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mrs Busani

This was our 3rd time at this bungelow. We always really enjoy it. The area is great and the bungelow is bright and airey. The fixtures and fittings are very nice and and we have not had any issues. We are going this year at the same time and really looking forward too it. It is very close to Mudiford Quay which has a very good cafe/restaurent that we visit. There are numerous places to visit and lots of shops very close. All in all its a superb place to relax and have lovely fanily time. IT has everything we need to have a great time. tHere is a lovely pub at the top of the road that my son and daughter visit. THe Nelson tavern does a lovely Sunday roast. We love it and can highly recommend it.

Mrs Busani

Great property very nice quiet area close to a pub and fish and chip shop. Beautiful area too. It was the second time we have stayed there and we really enjoyed it. It's bright and airey and very comfortable. We've already booked for next year.

Mrs Russell

This was a lovely cottage to stay at for a family of six. Lovely large garden to sit in. Comfortable beds and plenty of seating in and around the house for the family to spread out! Located a ten minute stroll from the beach and other nice walks nearby (eg Stanpit nature reserve). Thank you!

Mrs Cox

A lovely place to stay, clean, well equipped and in easy reach of the beach. However, if you are booking with a dog the garden is enclosed but not fully secure.

Mrs Morris

We would highly recommend this location for a short break

Mrs Riseley

Lovely bungalow , well equipped great parking , and location is excellent close to Quay and beautiful beaches. Lots of places to visit nearby and good cafes and restaurants. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Mrs Busani

Loved this property and we are booked for December 2023. Smashing property in a fabulous area.

Mrs French

Sandy Days is a lovely place for a family getaway, the location to the beach was within 10 minutes walk. The property was fresh and clean and had all the extras needed for a great holiday. Would definitely look to stay here again.

Mrs Bloxham

Lovely place to stay, clean and inviting. Would like to return

Mr Slim

Sandy days is a beautiful cottage, wonderfully furnished with everything for a family holiday. We were greeted with a delightful and much appreciated welcome pack. The cottage is situated in a lovely quiet spot with good parking facilities. There are several excellent restaurants in the vicinity. In particular there are two which have stunning views of the Isle of Wight and first-class menus, the Noisy Lobster on Avon beach and Pebble Beach further down the coast.. A first class location for exploring this area, particularly the New Forest. The only drawback for us was that there was no direct access to the garden for the dog.

Mrs Ashton

Location excellent, quiet location within walking distance to Mudeford Quay, beach and shops.

Miss Tilley

This is our third visit to Sandy Days, always a joy. Super comfortable and gorgeous seaside themed decor, with everything you could need. Excellent location with fabulous walks from the doorstep. Emma the owner couldn't be more helpful. We love it!

Mrs Love

A lovely property in a great location just let down by the outside space.

Mr Freeman

Very nice bungalow, in a peaceful, immaculately kept road. Super beaches ,and great walking areas such as Hengistbury Head. Very nice local pub ( the Nelson ) , very convenient bus service 5 minutes walk away. All in all , a great holiday in a wonderful area ! Thank you Emma.

Mrs Malster

This delightful cottage has a real holiday feel. Decorated in beach type colours and furnishings, it’s light, spacious and practical and has everything needed for an enjoyable break. The quay is around 15 mins walk and has a pub/cafe and fish stall. Also a foot ferry to Hengistbury Head. A very good Chinese takeaway is within a two minute drive. Sandbank’s wonderful beaches are 30 mins away, as is the New Forest - all in all a great location.

Mrs Cherry

Clean, spacious, well-equipped property. Very good location for Mudeford harbour and beach, and for exploring Dorset.

Mrs Coombs

Excellent location and games room which was enjoyed by all members of our group.

Mrs Thompson

Would highly recommend Sandy Days. It's well located, clean, comfortable, well equipped, everything you would want for a great family holiday.

Mrs Lewis

We had a glorious few days - our second visit, and the weather was much better this time. I would recommend Sandy Days to anyone. The location is perfect, only a 10 minute walk to Mudeford Quay. Lots of lovely walks and places to eat - can’t wait to return in 2022.

Mrs Haywood

This was our second stay at Sandy Days and it was every bit as good as our first. Lovely bungalow, with everything you might need, really nice welcome basket and its in a great location. I feel sure we will be booking it again. Thank you.

Mrs Lewis

I would recommend this bungalow to anyone -very roomy - we had poor weather but we still enjoyed our visit.

Mrs Milestone

We loved our holiday at the 'little blue house'. It was a great location, near to the quay/beach and lovely beach theme with great attention to detail. Ample parking for 2 cars too. The kitchen was small but well formed. Really well thought out about what utensils, pots and pans you'd need. A cupboard was also cleared for our food shopping which was very handy. Lots of cups, glasses and crockery and proper knife block, as well as an undercounter fridge in the kitchen and freestanding fridge freezer in the games room. We felt like whoever owns the property knows what is needed when self-catering! Toilet paper was supplied as well as a great welcome basket with all the necessities like tea/coffee, cake, biscuits and wine! A lovely unexpected treat. Bedding and beds were great, all the rooms had full length shutters on the windows, so it was pretty dark. We used some travel blackout blinds too for our baby but easy enough to put up and take down. Our sons loved all the toys and games, which was a big bonus as we didn't need to pack the car with entertainment. The seating area was very comfortable and the TV had smart capabilities which was extremely welcome. A large entrance and games room entrance is also perfect if you have a buggy/scooters. The garden is well kept and there is enough outdoor seating for 6 people. You do access the garden via the front door and then side gate, which is literally the only slight drawback with young children as there is no gate at the front of the property but given everything else, it's a minor thing. We have already recommended the property and would certainly choose to stay here again.

Mr Edwards

An excellent and comfortable base to explore the delightful town of Mudeford. Very good facilities for 5/6 adults with TV, Sonos and WiFi for those rainy days. Location is only 10 mins to the Quayside and Beach. Christchurch is only 30 mins walk away through the wild meadows. Via a short ferry across to the Mudeford Spit is the Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve and Visitors Centre, a very pleasant walk.

Mrs Brown

This is a suburban bungalow in close proximity to its neighbours. Its saving grace is its position. Mudeford Quay is a ten minute walk for a not so able-bodied adult. Highcliffe Castle and its wonderful new path down to the beach is only three miles and in the other direction the October traffic allowed us to be on Purbeck in an hour. The lack of a bath could cause problems for those with children who do not like a shower. The ensuite is small. Devoted cooks would not have much workspace but we found the kitchen well-equipped for our quick efforts and there was an abundance of glass and crockery. A mention should be given to the fish and chips 5 minutes away. BOTH fish and chips were EXCELLENT. Buses to Lymington run along the bottom of the road and presumably Bournemouth in the opposite direction.

Mrs Baxter

Overall a good stay in a central location Facilities were as described and would stay again

Mrs Dudman

We loved this holiday home and look forward to returning. We felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. It was clean, spacious and stylish. Our weather for the week we stayed wasn't great but The house was such a great place to feel at home in and enjoy some time away.

Mr Monk

One of the most relaxed and best holidays enjoyed by my son and I ....home from home in a beautiful area of the country....couldn't wish for more!!!

Mr Waring

Great location for a very good stay with great facilities

Mrs Hobbs

It’s a beautifully decorated and equipped cottage with everything you need and in an ideal location. We stayed as a family of 4 plus grandparents to meet up with other family living locally to celebrate a golden wedding anniversary. The owner left us a wonderful welcome pack and was very kind and friendly in communications - nothing too much trouble. Despite the pouring rain we very much enjoyed our stay, the games room and toys were a very welcome addition for the kids. 10 min walk to Mudeford Quay and Avon Beach - highly recommend eating at The Noisy Lobster. Highcliffe Castle nearby really interesting and interactive with kids. Thank you so much Emma and Classic for a fab weekend.

Mr McAvoy

Enjoyed our holiday at Sandy Days very much, clean and comfortable, a nice base to come back to after a day out.Would certainly recommend Sandy Days to family and friends.

Mrs Hernandez

A great place to stay with a family, a short walk to Mudeford Quay and Avon Beach and a short drive to Christchurch. A well equipped bungalow with plenty of space.

Miss Tilley

A delightful little bungalow, which is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of life, relax and unwind.

Mrs Griffiths

Sandy days is a lovely comfortable place to stay in a fantastic location. It was really nice not to have to use the car as it’s within easy reach to Avon beach and to catch the ferry to mudeford. The walk into Christchurch takes about 20-25 mins but is very enjoyable. The house itself is very clean, light and comfortable with a very secure garden for our dog. Our 14 year old son loved the games rooms with table tennis, darts and pool table. The welcome pack on arrival was much appreciated! We will definitely return and would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Mrs Appleby

A great place to stay with good facilities, ideal if you have children. Very clean, comfortable & everything you need including a lovely welcome hamper. We would definitely book for another break.

Mrs McKinley

This is a very well appointed cottage with quality fittings and spotlessly clean, with lots of extras such as toys and beach necessities. The location is also excellent, with lots to do within walking distance, but also plenty of parking to accommodate the member of our party with mobility issues. One word of caution, however. Several properties close by are undergoing renovation, so be aware that it can be noisy if you wish to sit in the garden, and a holiday lie in may well be disturbed as work can begin before 8 am.

Mrs Shroeder

A lovely comfortable cottage in a great location and easy walking distance to stunning beaches and waterside pubs and cafes. We had an unexpected fall of snow but Sandy Days kept us warm & cosy. The provision of dog throws for the sofas was very sensible as not all dogs can resist jumping up for a comfy cuddle! We recommend a trip on the little ferry over to Mudeford Sandbank, what a delightful place with all of the colourful beach huts, even in the snow!

Mrs George

A definite welcoming cottage home from home. Neighbours very friendly.

Mr Hill

This is a lovely clean, bright cottage close to the sea and local amenities.

Mrs Halloran

The cottage is lovely and very well equipped especially if you have children. It's location is perfect for the whole area and it's within walking distance for two beautiful beaches. The welcome basket is awesome!

Mrs Haywood

A superb cottage, you won't find better.

Mrs Conduit-Adams

Love this cottage, this was our second visit. The welcome package was lovely and the owners also remembered it was my birthday and left a card! My toddler loved his little room and all the toys! Such a great location close to the beach, crabbing and some nice restaurants.

Mrs Bowman

Lovely cottage, beautifully appointed and thoughtful for children - Percy Pig biscuits in the welcome basket were are real winner with our 3 year old!

Mr Allan

The cottage is wall to wall seaside and excellent welcome pack of wine, tea, coffee and not any old cakes but M&S !

Ms Bennister

A wonderful comfortable property, within walking distance of beaches, restaurants and pubs. This was our second visit, and we will be definitely booking again for a third! It's great to be able to take our dog and to have a house so well set up for him, and for walking, beach activity etc. The games room is particularly helpful for storing wet walking clothes and shoes. We love Sandy Days!

Mr Sebastine

Sandy Days is located in a GR8 central location. ;-) Well kitted out, Very clean, well furnished, lovely private rear garden, ample parking for 2 cars. Added bonus of the side games room. Dog was welcomed. ( woof woof 5 stars) We all enjoyed our short mid October holiday there and would highly recommend this property. Nearby "Boat House" is a fab eating house. JUST AS IS SAID ON THE TIN. "HAPPY DAYS AT SANDY DAYS"

Mrs Meehan

This is a wonderful property Very comfortable, practical, well furnished and welcoming particularly if you have children or a dog with you. It is very spacious with plenty of storage space. The location is fantastic, very close to Medford Quay and Avon Beach we would have liked to stay longer to explore more of the surrounding area as Im sure there is a lot to see and do

Mrs Pybus

Very happy, nice place to stay and you feel right at home. Love the decor, will definitely add this to my favourites. A lovely welcome box of goodies, and so clean throughout.

Miss Tilley

Sandy Days gave us a holiday filled with happy memories. The cottage is just gorgeous, so welcoming and well thought out. There was absolutely nothing missing for us and Emma, the delightful owner, was the icing on the cake. Couldn't have bèen happier.

Mrs Clark

Great location, easy walking distance to Mudeford Quay and Avon Beach. Must take ferry across bay and visit the sandbank for relaxing walks along the beach. Sandy Days is one of the best equipped cottages that we've stayed in, nicely decorated and clean. Was lovely to have the use of all beach and crabbing equipment, ie bucket and spades, crabbing lines and buckets, snorkelling stuff etc, saves a lot of room when packing to go away not to have to bring all the children's bulky toys! We may very well be back now we know where this gem of a cottage is!

Ms Bennister

Absolutely loved this house. Beautiful decor, and perfect for families with a dog. The games room provided fun in the evenings. The location is perfect - walking distance to beach, harbour, pubs, local shops and places to eat. We'll definitely be booking this lovely house again!
