With the bustling market town of Bridport within striking distance, this beautiful barn conversion is the perfect home-away-from-home. A delightful spot to explore all the beauty and charm that west Dorset has to offer.

From the parking-area take the path to the door and discover the modern farmhouse kitchen - with plenty of space to keep the chef company whilst lunches and dinners are prepared. Take advantage of Washingpool Farm Shop, only a few minutes' walk away, to have the freshest ingredients each day. The dining-table is the ideal spot for those mornings spent planning over breakfast - there is so much to do in the local area.

The sitting-room also has doors to the outside - where you will find a table for al fresco dining. The feature stairs rise from this room to the bedrooms and shower-room. The first bedroom has a super-king 'zip and link' bed, which can also be made up as twin beds on request and views to the surrounding countryside and Allington Hill. The family shower-room is situated between both bedrooms. The second bedroom has lovely twin beds and plenty of space to unpack and relax in - this room also has an en suite shower-room.

The friendly owners live in the adjacent property but the barn has its own private garden and parking. The property has been lovingly converted into an eco-friendly home; with a heat exchange pump and solar panels, to ensure the lowest carbon footprint possible, whilst keeping the cottage warm and cosy.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mr Edwards

Seymour Barn provided us with the relaxing break we were looking for. It is well positioned and is one of the best, if not the best one we have ever stayed in with Classic Cottages. We are looking forward to returning

Mrs Hopkins

Excellent property and well appointed. Very helpful and friendly owners and a nice welcome pack included. We would certainly recommend a stay at Seymour Barn. Plenty of things to do and visit.

Mrs Mitchell

One of the best Classic Cottages we have stayed at so far. Very comfortable and well-appointed.

Mrs Leyman

Fabulous.. beautifully furnished and super clean. Really comfortable sofa, and beds which is a must. Far exceeded our expectations.

Mrs Dansey

Seymour Barn was our best Classic Cottages experience as it is luxurious, very tasteful interior decoration & the friendly owners have catered for every need. They live next door and are both available & unobtrusive. It is a good location for walking into Bridport or local walks from the doorstep (map provided) or drives to explore Dorset coast & countryside. Whatever the weather it is a place to rest & recharge batteries.

Mr Adams

Excellent property and well appointed. Quite possibly the best cottage we have stayed in. Very helpful and friendly owners plus nice welcome pack. Very well located if you want to explore Dorset. Travelling east and west was a doddle. Not too far from the golf course or the beaches, something for everyone. Only 400 yards from possibly the best farm shop we have ever found - could do all shopping locally without the need to go to the supermarkets. Bridport has a wide range of shops and two markets each week. Altogether a great holiday and well done to the owners.

Mr & Mrs Gallagher

If any one was planning a quiet stay, With everything to hand and the owners being so pleasant and helpful this is the place to stay.

Mrs Willson

Seymour Barn, (a 20 minute walk to Bridport), is a perfect property in which to stay and well situated to visit many places of interest. The owner has provided everything which one would need for a comfortable stay. The extra touches like vases of fresh garden flowers and a delicious home baked cake were much appreciated. Definitely the sort of place for a return visit!

Mrs Green

Seymour Barn is a best described as a home from home and one of the nicest cottages we've stayed in. Every little detail has been thought of and accounted for. We arrived late on a Friday night to a gorgeous welcome basket, fresh flowers and lots of local info with which to plan our week. The cottage is refurbished to a very high spec with every comfort provided for. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we're sad to leave. The cottage is very well located and a short drive away from the beach and South West Coast path. An ideal place for a country escape, beautiful walks and fresh air. Thank you very much.

Mrs Seymour

A lovely place to stay. It is comfortable and very well equipped, the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need. Highly recommended!

Mrs Nowakowski

We had a lovely week in Seymour Barn. It is a beautiful and very well equipped property with every comfort you could possibly need. The owners provided a lovely welcome pack for us and they even catered for our dogs with a basket, blanket, food bowls and treats! After all it is their holiday too! There were extra touches with vases of fresh flowers and plants in the house and the entrance to the house was bordered by lavender which smelt lovely as you approach. It is located just outside Bridport so you have the amenities there but once in the house you were out in the country. With beaches just a couple of miles away and lovely villages and countryside around everyone is catered for. The owners were very welcoming and were nearby should you need them. We have been to many self catering holidays over the years and this one certainly stood out so we would have no hesitation in returning in the future.

Mrs Davies

This eco friendly accommodation is really comfortable and great to stay in. It is clean, well equipped and has everything you could want. There are a number of leaflets there of places to see and things to do. A helpful addition if you need them. The owners are a delight and so accommodating. They will do their very best to help you.

Mr Pell

Excellently presented and attention to detail. Stone staircase not ideal for those with mobility issues. Owners and their dogs were intrusive. Not suitable for dogs as garden backs onto a very busy road and is not dog-proof. Unable to sit outside due to continuous road noise and noise from workshop next door. Would not recommend or return.
