The Old Dairy

The Old Dairy is just beautiful. Fabulous garden and setting. Great location for touring all the beautiful spots of Dorset. The cottage is extremely comfortable, super clean and has everything you would need. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would love to return soon.

unfortunately the weather was very unkind on several days so it was wonderful to be in such lovely accommodation. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. everything about this property was better than expected. no negatives at all

A wonderful property, we stayed with a one year old and a dog and it was perfect for everyone’s needs. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, the kitchen was well equipped and the welcome pack was brilliant. They provided a travel cot with a mattress and highchair which was very helpful. It has a lovely secure garden perfect for our dog and baby.

This is a wonderful property. Very comfy beds, beautiful kitchen and bathroom. Everything is of a high standard and all in very good order. Very quiet at night and very pretty garden. Easy location for lots of places to visit. Private garden and really nice owner. We will go back and stay there again.

Excellent place to stay if you want quiet and country area to walk in. About 5 miles out of Blandford Forum where there is more 'hum'.

A lovely and very well equipped cottage situated in a peaceful area. It is close to many popular spots only a short drive away. The coast and its towns are about 30-40mins drive. We are coming back to Dorset next year as we loved it so much. I would definitely consider booking again.

Lovely location as long as you like quiet. Unfortunately the very local pub is currently closed due to building works which does mean you have to drive to get to the nearest eatery. Stunning scenery all around. Lovely enclosed garden if you're looking for a dog friendly stay we would recommend.

That whole area of Dorset is beautiful with many great pubs with exquisite culinary experiences. There are a load of different things for families, Monkey World for example. In the spring through autumn you can book an experience flight at Compton Abbas Airfield, and get a gourmet lunch too.

We enjoyed our stay at the Old Diary. It was immaculate and everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The welcome tray was a lovely touch after a long journey. The pub is only 5 minutes away with good food and friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Immaculately presented property. Spotlessly clean. The welcome pack was a nice touch. Very helpful and pleasant owners. The property itself has an ideal layout for someone with limited mobility. Only a couple of very shallow steps to negotiate from the patio into the property. The steep gravel driveway could cause a problem in these circumstances but the owners were very accommodating in providing a solution.

If you would like a lovely, comfortable place to stay in, then this is it! With pub five minutes away and lovely garden to enjoy the sunshine in. Well fitted out with all modern conveniences and a welcome tray for you when you arrive.

We had a lovely stay at The Old Dairy, the property was spotlessly clean and well appointed. The owners were friendly and on hand if we needed them. There were lots of dog walks nearby and the village pub was a short stroll away, which was really convenient. Blandford Forum was not far in the car and the property was well placed for trips to the coast as well as exploring the Dorset countryside.

No wardrobes in either bedroom therefore not really suitable for four adults especially when on holiday and you have suitcases etc. The rest of the property has plenty of space. Overall pleased with this property.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Dairy. The property is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and the owners who live just next door were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The garden is lovely, sunny, and very safe for our dog (fully enclosed). A nice bonus was comfortable garden furniture - something not every holiday cottage provides for some reason. All in all, we had a great stay, and would definitely recommend the Old Dairy to anyone wanting to holiday in this lovely area.

The property has been converted to a very high standard and the location is very quiet. The welcome pack was generous, along with the fresh eggs provided. The property was immaculately clean, with a good standard of bedding. Owners both very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay.

The Old Dairy is an excellent cottage in a nice little village with good links to all of Dorset’s towns/attractions

The Old Dairy is a great place to stay. It’s very comfortable and is extremely well equipped. Peter and Vivienne are excellent hosts, friendly and on hand. We would certainly recommend as a relaxing and comfortable place to stay.

Great conversion of an old property set in a pretty and secure garden. Spacious kitchen, comfy lounge, bed and great shower. Local village is very pretty and there are some excellent walks on the doorstep. This area of Dorset is just lovely and quite unspoilt. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old Dairy. The property was very comfortable and well equipped with everything needed for a self catering holiday. The accommodation also featured some interesting books and maps, which came in handy for first time visitors to the area. The peaceful location is perfect for exploring Dorset and its surroundings, or just relaxing in the garden. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, but not intrusive. We hope to visit again in the near future.

excellent property to stay in very well equiped and tastefully decorated felt very at home lovely to have a christmas tree and fresh flowers there when we arrived and mince pies, prossecco and a few other supplies which was a lovely touch would thoroughly recommend

Easy to navigate and book through - we have used Classic Cottages a few times and it is always easy.

We had a lovely holiday in the old dairy. The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. The barn had everything you need for cooking inside and out. Lovely garden to relax in. Perfect place for families and dogs. Plenty of walks nearby. Short drive to Blandford, and lots of lovely places to eat out. Thoroughly recommended.

We were the 3rd people in this property so was all brand new, my partner says the former Dairy was the cream on the top.

Lovely property inside and out it has been renovated to a very high standard. The kitchen has every piece of equipment and gadget ever needed. The garden was really secure for the dog It is in a lovely quiet village great dog walks right from the door across the fields and to nearby villages, and really central for touring around the Dorset area. The hosts were very friendly, available if we needed them next door with great tips for local things to do without being intrusive and a lovely welcome basket of scones was much appreciated.

We had a lovely time at The Old Dairy. The property is newly renovated so lots of new mod cons. Really handy to have the washing machine and drier after a day at the beach. The pub being a 2 minute stroll away was also really handy but make sure to book in these Covid times. Our hosts were very helpful with Peter recommending some really nice walks as we brought our dog with us. We would definitely recommend this as a great base to explore Dorset.

Great place to stay, everything we needed and much more. Great location for visiting different places in the area. Hosts were really friendly. Tea and cake etc. was waiting for us when we arrived, which was nice. Our Westie really enjoyed the enclosed garden. Couldn’t have asked for anything more!
