Swallows rest is a very comfortable cottage and in a good place for getting to different locations.

A thoughtful, beautifully presented & homely/cosy cottage, providing everything needed for a lovely break away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week’s holiday with our dog Rufus. We were impressed by the quality and co-ordination of the home furnishings. We appreciated our small private enclosed area, which proved to be a sun-trap. We hope to return next year.

We had a fabulous holiday at Swallows Rest, from the moment we arrived and saw the cottage to walking in, we could not of asked for more. Everything you needed was there, home from home feeling. We had a few visits to the cottage from Pippin the owners dog, who was adorable. Sarah Martin and Pippin thank you very much, look forward to returning in the future.

Having just returned from a week staying at Swallows' Rest, we both cannot praise both the cottage and the hosts enough. The cottage is so comfortable and cosy with numerous private areas for outside dining and relaxation. Our hosts were really friendly and were happy to assist if we needed anything but also left us to our own devices the rest of the time. We were fortunate to have great weather but this would be a lovely place to stay whatever the weather. It is also located close to the coast and to other inland places of interest so you don't have to travel far once you are there. We both wished we could have stayed another week and would have no hesitation in staying again.

Martin and sarah made us very welcome the barn is beautiful and of high standard a good base to explore West bay is close by and is a lovely beach bridport is a nice market town and not far. Highly recommend and will be returning.

We stayed at Swallows Rest for two weeks and had a great holiday. The cottage was exceptionally comfortable and the garden lovely. The location was great for visiting the coast, lovely countryside and interesting towns of Dorset and South East Devon. Highly recommended

I stayed at swallows rest over Christmas week. Its a stunning cottage thats spacious, very well equipped and comfortable. Sarah and Martin , the owners are a lovely and make sure you have everything you need for a relaxing enjoyable stay. The welcome pack on arrival was a nice touch as were the Christmas decorations. Its Impossible to find fault with this lovely cottage . Very highly recommended.

Beautiful accommodation, in stunning Dorset, welcome gifts of pressco and biscuits was a lovely touch. Large comfy bed and the shower and bath were a big highlight after a day of fossil hunting . We will definitely come back in the near future and highly recommend staying at Swallows Rest.

The cottage was excellent. In a lovely quiet location. Bed super comfy. Outside furniture was also above expectations.

Most enjoyable stay on our second visit to Swallows Rest. As before all our requirements catered for, and we would have no hesitation in visiting again in the future, hoping for better weather next time!

We had a very nice stay, despite atrocious weather. The waterproofs came in very handy. The cottage was lovely and welcoming. The extra touches, bunch of daffodils, wine, biscuits and welcome note etc were lovely and much appreciated. The cottage was very clean and warm. The equipment and furnishings were excellent quality. The bathroom is a sheer delight! Due to the awful weather we experienced(not a lot anyone could do about that) we were more reliant on our Wi-Fi for catching up on movies etc. We did experience very slow downloads even for our emails so had to put that on hold. This may have been down to the weather though. Lovely cottage, set in beautiful countryside

A nice, quiet, comfortable and welcoming retreat - just what we needed!

A great little cottage in a wonderful quiet location. A great place to go to relax away from the everyday hustle and bustle of life. Good location for visiting nearby attractions. Although this cottage is set in the grounds of the owners house they are excellent host and don’t bother you unless you need them. The cottage has its own entrance with parking. Thank you Classic Cottages for another great find!!

The property was larger than the impression we got from your photographs. This was a bonus for us but did not give justice to the cottage.

A lovely barn conversion cottage in the grounds of the owner’s (Sarah and Martin) grounds. We had 2 very large dogs and had more than enough room. Well appointed and the cottage was tastefully decorated for Christmas. The rooms are all spacious and you’re not tripping over each other. There’s a fenced area outside the back door so that the dogs can go into before bed time and the owners said we were more than welcome to use their garden, which is also fenced to give them a run. Lots of places to visit, without having to drive for miles and a few quieter beaches that the dogs were allowed on to tire themselves out. Just be aware that the cliff faces are really prone to subsidence and make access to some areas difficult, if not impossible.

A perfect week was had. The cottage had everything we needed. Much better than we were expecting. Martin and Sally were very friendly and helpful. Pippin the dog was friendly too. We loved it so much, we’ve booked again for next year.

Very very comfortable cottage. Loved every minute of our stay. The weather wasn't the best but it didn't matter as the cottage had everything we could ask for. Will definatley recommend.

We had a wonderful time at Swallows Nest, so relaxing everything was great.

The hosts gave us some lovely welcome goodies, including a Bonio for Nala, our greyhound. That, and a personalised message on the kitchen blackboard, made us feel very welcomed. The overall standard is extremely high, very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated, with an exceptionally well equipped kitchen. We would highly recommend this property for couples.

I would really recommend sallows rest. If you are looking for some peace and quiet. Clean and comfortable home from home.

An excellent cottage, nicely fitted and well maintained. Owners were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again if holidaying in the area.

We stayed at this property in August and was impressed with the lovely Swallows Nest cottage. Location is about a 25min drive to the coast of Lyme Regis or West Bay, both of which are very nice places. The local pub a 15 min walk away also served good food in Drimpton. The nearest supermarket is about 3 to 4 miles away along with shops, pubs and takeaways. The owners were very friendly and helpful and provided a lovely welcome pack. My only issue was the Wi-fi which definitely needs upgrading, our weather was pretty awful so we wanted to stream some movies, we gave up trying to use the Wi-fi service in the cottage.
