Pippins is a picture postcard country cottage nestled in the charming Somerset village of North Perrott - not far from the Dorset border. This cosy home can cater for all of the family (including your four-legged friends). It is an ideal spot to explore the nearby National Trust houses at Montacute and Barrington Court or for a day at the beach; Lyme Regis and West Bay are within striking distance.

Stepping into this Grade II listed, terraced cottage you will instantly feel ready for your holiday. There is a wonderful cosy feel and the plentiful original features make the cottage totally charming. The hall leads to the formal dining-room, where you can catch up over some dinner after a busy day's exploring and maybe enjoy a board game or two! You also step from the hall into the sitting-room with beautiful original fireplace - a lovely spot to sit with a cup of tea and read a book. The kitchen leads off this room and has all the 'mod-cons' you need, including a fabulous electric range style cooker.

The garden is west-facing and catches the afternoon and evening sun, so sit out and enjoy a spot of al fresco dining. Being all enclosed, the garden lends itself well to children and dogs (please be aware that there is a right of way across the garden for neighbouring cottages, with a gate on each side of the garden but this is used very infrequently).

Upstairs there are three bedrooms and they share the modern, family bathroom. The main bedroom is a great size and has a gorgeous exposed hamstone chimney breast. Feature wallpaper and more exposed features in the second bedroom make this a peaceful space to switch off and relax, (take care when heading into the second bedroom, as there is a low lintel). Next to the bathroom is the third bedroom, which is a good-sized single with pretty views over the garden. Whether you are a couple, friends or family with children, the bedroom set-up offers excellent flexibility.

Mrs O'Toole

We loved our stay at Pippin Cottage! It is cosy, comfortable, and packed with character. The village is charming and seemed to us the archetypal English country cottage with ponies trotting past the front door and lovely walks all around the neighbourhood. It was a great base point for local sightseeing too, we did: Mapperton House, Forde Abbey, West Bay at Bridport, Steam train from Norden to Swanage and walked the Jurassic coast path to Studland Bay, Corfe Castle, Montacute House, and too many gorgeous villages and fantastic pubs to list here!

Mrs Williamson

A cosy cottage in a nice area with pretty much everything you need. Generous welcome pack. Could do with a little bit more attention to detail, eg too few tea towels, very used washing up brush, empty scent diffusers. Be aware that the cottage is next to a noisy road. Lots to do and see in the area.
