Turner Hall
Nestled in a gorgeous glade, Turner Hall is a beautiful woodland cottage, elegantly furnished and perfectly positioned in a tranquil setting with a dreamy hot tub, oodles of space and a very special woodland shepherd's hut, and all on the doorstep of beautiful Dartmoor.
Turner Hall is a very special countryside retreat, surrounded by woodland and teeming with wildlife, where family and friends will discover the perfect relaxing getaway throughout the year, and even your four-legged friends will be made most welcome.
The ground floor open plan living area at Turner Hall has been beautifully created by the talented owners to offer a luxurious and relaxing stay. The double height ceilings with hanging statement lighting are criss-crossed with characterful beams and triple-aspect windows overlook a verdant world of peace and tranquility. In the sitting-area, comfy sofas invite you to snuggle down and relax to watch a movie on the Smart TV and the wood-burner will keep you cosy throughout the seasons.
The farmhouse kitchen table is the perfect place to gather everyone around to chat about the adventures of the day, or perhaps plan your next hike or bike ride. The chef will love the kitchen area, with all the equipment you will need including a gorgeous electric range cooker and of course the all-important dishwasher.
Down the corridor two lovely bedrooms await, pretty bedroom one has a 'zip and link' bed giving you the flexibility to choose and a gorgeous bathroom, ideal for a long soak after a day of exploring. Bedroom two has a lovely outlook, feature iron bedstead and an en suite shower-room which has discreetly designed to be disabled friendly for those who are less mobile. Take the open-tread spiral staircase from the living area to the mezzanine level and bedroom three is revealed, a fabulous space with super en suite shower-room. For extra occasional sleeping, this bedroom can also offer a small sofa bed on request. Bedroom four can be found in the charming shepherd's hut, with a sitting-area, wood-burner and separate shower-room, this is bound to become the favoured choice.
Explore the beautiful grounds and the blissful wood-fired hot tub can be found in a secluded spot tucked away in the woods, perfect for an evening star watching. With a dining-table and barbecue, this blissful space is simply wonderful for children and dogs to let off steam. There is a trickling stream running through the garden and if there is water flowing, please use the stepping stones to reach the hot tub. With masses of outdoor space, gorgeous cosy interiors and a quirky fourth bedroom in a cabin, Turner Hall is the perfect holiday retreat where everyone will want to return year after year. There is an added bonus, sharing this glorious site on Dartmoor is a children's activity centre, where you and your family can pre-book activities and enjoy the fun at your leisure.

We found Turner Hall to be welcoming, comfortable and spacious ideal for a family gathering. The location is very quiet and private with great views to the surrounding woodland. Haytor is only a stones throw away and an excellent pub is within walking distance.
Dr Sanders
Great location on the moors near pubs and cracking shop at Ilsington. Amazing converted hall with 3 good sized en suite bedrooms. Open fire lovely as is the very user friendly kitchen. Can’t recommend the property highly enough .
Mrs Clements
Fantasy place, your kids will talk about it for weeks after, ours have! Absolutely loved it, peaceful and tranquil, just what was needed while having a break from radiotherapy. We’ll be back that’s for sure
Mr Dugard
We had a lovely stay at Turner Hall which was a great end to our 3 weeks in the UK. It is an amazing property in a stunning location, to be on the moor was magical for me being the first time I had stayed up there for more than 20 years so thanks very much for providing us with the opportunity to stay there.
Mrs Wallace
Perfect location for exploring the moors with great walks from the property. Within easy reach of the coast as well. Property immaculately clean and great space to share time together, 6 adults never felt overcrowded, private garden. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Pub within walking distance and only 5 mins drive to selection of local shops and supermarkets. Would definitely recommend staying at Turner Hall
Miss Wheeler
A beautiful and peaceful luxury holiday home in a fantastic location for walks and a couple of cracking pubs.
Mrs Fern
Perfect location for exploring the moor, lovely property with streams outside and wildlife great hot tub but only suitable if you can light and maintain it as it’s low to ground to start the fire and maintain it !Worth the effort as it’s a glorious when you are in especially at night with the fairy lights on. Great property comfortable and well equipped
Mrs Glendenning
A beautiful property. I would highly recommend. If you want tranquil surroundings then this is an ideal place. Limited (if any) phone signal but the WiFi is really good.
Mrs Lewis
Turner Hall is an absolute gem. The beautiful building and stunning location make you feel like you are hidden away in the forest and yet you are just moments away from being out on the open moor. Idyllic!
Mrs Oldacre
This is a lovely accommodation, very clean and well equipped. Lovely comfortable beds. Great access to the moors and a fabulous gastro pub within walking distance in the village.
Mrs Budd
If you want a quiet location to escape and brilliant access to Dartmoor, then this is the place for you.
Mr Sheridan
Turner hall ticked all of the boxes for our family of five and our dog. Such a well presented house and shepherd’s hut in a fantastic location. We cant wait to return. The hot tub is a great addition and if you're lucky with the weather like we were you can have a bbq right next to your own little stream and jump in the hot tub straight after. We stayed put for three days of the holiday as it was such a relaxing place with beautiful walks literally right on the doorstep. Haytor quarry is nice little oasis which is only 10 minutes walk from Turner Hall. Our dog loved swimming in there. Plenty of wood is available at a very fair price for the hot tub and stoves. There’s also a good amount given to you on arrival. Great pubs/restaurants nearby if you can’t be bothered cooking every night too. Haven’t got a bad word to say at all about our stay.
