Very welcoming, clean and lovely furniture and fittings. Quiet place so very relaxing.

This is an outstanding cottage - wonderfully quiet, beautifully maintained and in a brilliant location right next to the moors.

We loved the rural location with views across the valley and had the treat of watching foxes play in the adjacent field. The cottage was delightful and a great base for walking, even straight from the accommodation.

One of the best cottages have stayed in well equipped & spotlessly clean ,peacefull & quiet ,devon country side beautiful , owners very helpful thankyou for letting us stay didn't want to leave would come back again

We had a fantastic stay at Walkham, the property exceeded expectations. The owners were very friendly and on hand if we needed anything. A perfect location for a restful break, would highly recommend.

Welcomed with lots of lovely welcome treats - croissants, jam, slippers etc. A warm, cosy and beautiful cottage offering pure solitude & luxury. Set in a lovely wooded area with surrounding fields and easy walk up to the outstanding moors and tors. We were frequently accompanied by Tess the owners dog who we were sad to say bye bye too. Owners lovely & friendly and left us in peace to enjoy the peace, but there if we needed then. Family came to stay in the other two cottages which were equally outstanding. The best! I’m sure we will all be back.

I recommend this wonderful place to anyone wanting to get away from the city. Nothing equals enjoying dinner outside with the sun setting in front of you!

If Dartmoor is the area you want to stay in you could not pick a better place but at Walkham or even Dittisham, you will enjoy staying in either property, hidden away down little country lanes a sloping driveway takes you to a 'shall I call it a little hamlet' or a collection of four properties.

The furnishings and equipment in these cottages are of the highest standard and the owners are very approachable but not obtrusive. If I could give them 10 stars I would happily do so.

Walkham is a beautiful home in a stunning location. Conveniently situated for lovely walks with some great pubs very close by. This is our second stay, last time were stayed in Dittisham, and we will be back. The owners are very friendly, can’t recommend highly enough.

Stunning accommodation and location which I didn’t really thing the photos did justice to. Really a very beautiful and immaculate Barn. Very well equipped with lovely soaps, coffee and fresh flowers on our arrival. We loved the Sheep and my Son fell in love with Tess who kept us entertained by herding up the sheep for a couple of hours on our last night. Not sure she knew where she wanted the sheep to be just wherever she decided !

Very comfortable with a splendid view across the valley, which made a wonderful change of scenery after being stuck at home for over a year! Highly recommended.

Walkham cottage is one of the best properties we have stayed in terms of location and quality of accommodation. The owners were friendly but unobtrusive. The cottage was spotless and very well equipped, we didn’t want for anything. Lovely walks from the door and beautiful scenery. Such a peaceful spot for a restful break.

This is a superb holiday cottage that we found ideal for the two of us with our dog. It is extremely stylish with an excellent sized master bedroom and great bathrooms. The views from the back of the property are stunning, accompanied by the sound of birdsong and the lambs in the fields around. We were able to walk directly from the cottage onto open Dartmoor land over to Princetown.

Our recent stay at Walkham Cottage has been a very welcoming and peaceful retreat. It is place where you can unplug your mind and recharge your body and soul. The views are beautiful and to be able wake up to them everyday even on the rainy ones was a blessing. Both beds are very comfortable and the furnishings are to a very high standard. There are two showers in the cottage and both provide very good water pressure. There is also a large bath which was very nice to soak in after a long day of walking. The log burner was lovely to sit next to and relax on a couple of rainy days and the underfloor heating was a treat for the colder days. There is a very detailed information pack for places to visit and walk. There is also a file with instruction manuals/guides for all the appliances and electronic devices. The owners are very approachable and friendly. They also own a breed of Dartmoor sheep who are kept in a nearby field. During our stay we were lucky enough to get to hold one of the new born lambs which we really appreciated. We had a couple of small issues the first day which were rectified by the owners straightaway. If there was one thing that could be improved it would be the welcome pack. If you are paying for a week or more as we did, we would have liked it to have been a bit more substantial, however, we were provided with a very nice bottle of wine, a pint of milk and lovely fresh flowers. We would recommend a stay at Walkham or any of the surrounding cottages to our family & friends and we will be back in the future. Miss Cromwell & Mr Bradshaw

A wonderful stay at a beautiful Cottage. We were greeted by a warm welcome from the owners (and their lovely dog Tess) and had a wonderful stay, the location is great for walkers and the cottage is very thoughtfully equipped. Looking forward to our next visit .

Wonderful cottage, modern and stylish but fitting with surroundings. Immaculately clean and well equipped. Nice setting in grounds of owners’ small holding farm. Their friendly dog welcomed us whenever we came home! Located well for exploring Dartmoor.

This is a stylish and comfortable cottage in a lovely location. The high quality of furnishings and equipment is everything we’ve come to expect from Classic Cottages. The views across the adjacent field and wooded valley are exceptional. A couple of times we saw deer grazing in the field below the cottage. Open moorland is just a 10 minute walk away. This cottage offers the best of both worlds: The super-fast broadband is exceptional for a cottage in such a rural setting! Despite the secluded location, the outskirts of Plymouth are only a 15 minute drive.

Fabulous location.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Walkham Cottage! The property has been renovated to the highest quality, and the cottage was immaculate for our arrival. Despite there being three other properties in close proximity, the cottage felt very private, and had a marvelous aspect across the valley. Their is every possible amenity at the property, as well as lovely homely touches, and our hosts could not have been more accommodating! I would highly recommend!

The cottage had everything you would want and more for your comfort. On arrival we had fresh bread, wine, cheese and fruit. It was absolutely spotlessly clean and would definately recommend to everyone. The best holiday home that we have stayed in as the owners had obviously thought of everything.

Fantastic cottage. We had an amazing week, walking on Dartmoor and visiting the Devon and Cornwall coasts. A great family break.

We had a great stay in Walkham - despite the weather! It was exactly what we were looking for for a break away from the city: incredibly peaceful, lovely views, and good walking and cycling routes near by. The property is equipped to a very high standard and was a real comfort. The welcome treats added an extra special touch to our arrival. Luke introduced us to the first lamb of the year! Masha gave us some great tips on walking and cycling and the manual was really helpful in finding local pubs, shops, and activities.

Absolutely beautifully furnished, everything spotless, comfortable beds, luxury bathrooms, fantastic equipped kitchen.....what a treat! Amazing location, walk right out the door and onto the moors, beautiful position for walkers and dog lovers. Not too far away for shops etc either. Just can't praise this property or the owners enough. Beautiful location, fantastic furnishings, spotlessly clean, well equipped for self-catering, luxury beds & bathrooms and really friendly and helpful owners. Thank you for a great holiday!

One of the most comfortable and high spec holiday cottages we have stayed in. Very warm and cosy for a winter break. Really good Wi-Fi and smart TVs in all the rooms meant our two teenagers were also happy!

A lovely, well equipped cottage in a very peaceful location with moorland just up the road. Very luxurious shower and bathroom, with comfortable beds and furniture. Excellent welcoming groceries with a very drinkable bottle of wine! Highly recommended.

We cannot recommend highly enough this delightful trio of cottages. The location is stunning as is the quality, decoration and welcome received. 5 star.

Lovely cottage with great views, well presented and fantastic bathrooms. The owners and family are very welcoming and a joy to stay with.

We had an excellent stay at Walkham. The hosts were great and the barn is finished to a very high standard. There is loads of cooking equipment, and little extra touches around the barn made it feel like the hosts had really thought about their guests. We would thoroughly recommend Walkham to anyone.

Exceeded our expectations! A stunning luxury property in the best location. We were very sad to have to go home and would definitely book here again. Everything is high end, lots of helpful gadgets including USB chargers in the plug sockets, Smart TV's in the sitting room and both bedrooms The owners were lovely and not intrusive, but were there if we needed anything. An amazing welcome pack was provided on arrival. Thank you Luke & Masha. Cosy and very warm with the under floor heating. A perfect retreat. The scenery was breath-taking. We will be back. A super little cottage set in the wildness of Dartmoor. The owners make you welcome and are friendly and helpful. They left welcoming gifts of wine, flowers, fruit etc. The cottage is scrupulously clean. Imagine the views will be heavenly in the summer. Dog friendly. There is a big field next to the cottage where I exercised my dog when the weather prevented going elsewhere. There is a small, raised area with chairs and table which is securely fenced. This is directly accessed from the cottage. The dog-friendly pub at Meavy (The Royal Oak?) was nice.

A beautiful property. The cleanest self catering cottage we have stayed in. Could not fault it. Lots of goodies on arrival. Owners very helpful. All cottages were quite private to each other. would definitely recommend.
