Threshing Barn
This beautiful dog-friendly retreat is nestled in a small hamlet on an exclusive development of barns within touching distance of the wonders of Dartmoor and the best of outdoor living, yet a short drive from the market towns of Tavistock and Okehampton giving the perfect excuse for a spot of retail therapy or topping up on supplies for the barbecue. When it comes to location this barn offers all that you could want from a holiday in the glorious county of west Devon yet with the coast being a 45 minute drive away! Ideal for larger families or a group celebration, the barn benefits from lots of space for socialising both inside and out. You will not be disappointed because this barn packs a punch and is set to become a firm favourite with Classic guests!
Step inside the sympathetically converted barn and enjoy each room that has been designed and furnished with luxury in mind whilst maximise on the feeling of space. The sitting-room sits centrally to the barn and floods with light thanks to a floor to ceiling wall of glass and also benefits from that all-important wood-burner effect gas fire for those chillier evenings whilst snuggling down to watch a film on the Smart TV. The spacious kitchen/diner is a great space for entertaining, with everything you need to rustle up a tasty meal. Next to the kitchen lies a super-handy utility-area with WC, washing machine and tumble-drier.
On the first floor there are four bedrooms to choose from, all offering lovely views of the surrounding countryside, linens and super-comfy beds. On this floor you will find the main bedroom with en suite shower-room, a further two double rooms and a fourth room offering twin beds; the family bathroom is also on this floor. Another benefit of the barn is that your feet will always be toasty warm thanks to glorious under-floor heating.
The garden is set to delight and offer that perfect 'wow' moment. From the best of al fresco dining to a spot of sunbathing, and not forgetting star-gazing at the end of the day from the top the garden. For those chillier days, the summer-house at the top of the garden offers the perfect spot to snuggle down and enjoy a book or for maybe that much needed holiday snooze.

Lovely cottage - will certainly be back to visit again
Mrs Johnson
My family and I had the pleasure of staying in this absolutely stunning property for a week in May. We were so impressed with the attention to detail in every room so much so I wish I had the ability to style rooms just like these rooms at home! This property is excellent not only for families but for couples who wish to holiday together. The cake and milk which were left in the fridge for our arrival was also a lovely touch. If you are considering going to Devon we highly recommend this property and are sure you will have a great time. The garden is absolutely beautiful too Mr and Mrs Johnson
Mrs Allen
Beautiful barn. Very well equipped especially in the garden. Decor lovely. Had a great stay
Mr Bate
Lovely property set in a quiet location on the outskirts of Dartmoor. Lots of great dog-walking opportunities and the scenery is fantastic. Spacious, even though there were 7 adults in the property, we never felt cramped and the outdoor space was very nice.
Mrs Shergold
The Threshing Barn is an idyllic and peaceful place to stay. Our weather was beautiful so we were able to appreciate the well equipped garden throughout our stay. It was a lovely base to explore the surrounding areas, which there are so many. We really enjoyed our stay
Miss Harvey
If the location had been accurate on the description, we wouldn't have chosen to stay at this barn. At the price paid, we would expect the description to be correct and the property to be looked after better by whoever looks after/manages (such as the cleanliness of equipment and shower heads as mentioned above) Overall we felt disappointed with the stay.
Ms Prince
The perfect spot for two families to relax together.
Mrs Tregenna
Extremely comfortable and spacious we felt it was a real home from home. The housekeeper is absolutely amazing and nothing was too much trouble…thank you Not close to any facilities and the nearest decent pub/restaurant was the Arundell Hotel at Lifton which was about a fifteen minute drive away. Extremely good value for money for a family party.
Ms Jackson
Overall we had a great stay at the barn. The property was presented very well and was a comfortable stay in a place where we would have happily lived! The garden was lovely as well. The surroundings are very peaceful so it was very relaxing to sit out in the garden (garden furniture provided). We would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again!
Mr Bedi
A very nice and comfortable cottage for eight people.
Mrs Ryland
Had an enjoyable family stay in this comfortable cottage, great base, if a little off the beaten track all areas quite accessible. Loved the modern but sympathetic decor and great outdoor space.
Mr Hubbard
A Beautiful property, in a beautiful, quiet location. The best nights sleep, we’ve had on holiday ever
Mr Braithwaite
Very high end accommodation reflected in the price. We had a lovely stay as it was a very comfortable sofas and beds included. Overall we had a great break which was much needed after lockdown.
