Foxtor Barn

Loved the place! Beautiful views from the main room. Comfortable bed. Lots of kitchen equipment provided and plenty of china and glasses. Excellent pub in the village (not really walkable in the dark, but only minutes in the car!)

Lovely cottage with good decor. Cream scones left for us on arrival! Near to Dartmoor and the lovely town of Tavistock which is extremely dog friendly!

Katie and Gemma were absolutely amazing and welcomed me like family. The property is beautifully decorated and the beds are very comfortable. The view and the grounds are absolutely stunning. A perfect place to write, escape and recharge. An abundance of different types of walks and hikes in the area and some great pubs within a stone’s throw. Can’t go wrong with this location!

A fantastic spit dor exploring or walking on Dartmoor. Lovely cosy comfortable place with amazing views. Left feeling incredibly relaxed by it all. The dogs loved it too.

Perfect location on the edge of Dartmoor. Very peaceful. Discreet owners but there if needed. Despite the weather it was very warm and cosy.

The barn was lovely cosy and welcoming, especially as we probably had the worst weather with Storm Darragh. Superb Location and comfort with 2 dogs was key, lovely touch as also decorated for Christmas. Would certainly visit again maybe when the better weather comes !!

This property can not be beaten for location and view. It is very well equipped and dog friendly. All Devon and north Cornwall coastlines are easily accessible from this point. Nearby Lydford gorge is very special.

If you are looking for a place to transport yourself that is situated in a Beautiful setting in nature, is as Comfortable as being home away from home, set perfectly placed to Explore in all directions, from roaming the Moor to casting off into Cornwall, then Foxtor Barn is the perfect bet!

Foxtor Barn is situated in a quiet location with a lovely view of Dartmoor. The property was comfortable, very clean and well equipped. The welcome goodies were much appreciated. We loved the spacious barbecue area which also had a great view. Would stay here again.

This accommodation was exceptional...first time I have used classic cottages and would definitely again. The owner Katie certainly goes all out to give her guests a wonderful, comfortable holiday and her many little touches made it very special. The welcoming cream tea, card, wine and milk was lovely as well as delicious! We were a party of 4 and every one of us say the same Awesome! Fabulous location too for a peaceful, relaxing holiday. Will definitely be returning!

Foxtor Barn lived up to its description. View amazing - and a peaceful surrounding. A note from Katie and a delicious Welcome Pack was much appreciated. Bed was super comfy. Linen and towels all good quality which added to our comfort. Access to local walks in particular The Granite Way easy. Castle Inn at Lydford a must visit…we did twice during our week. A great selection of DVDs and games, in particular Scrabble, all so important to complete the holiday experience. It was a special place to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Thank you !

Very nice, well-furnished cottage in a lovely area which is within easy reach of the moors and mid and west Devon. Dog friendly holiday property with some good walks to the village of Lydford and the gorge. Nice friendly owners and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated by us. Beautiful part of the world. Recommended.

We were very happy with our stay at Foxtor Barn. It is a tranquil and beautiful area of Devon, and Katie was an excellent host.

Foxtor Barn is set within a beautiful farm. It is perfectly tranquil and relaxing with stunning views of Dartmoor. Refurbished and finished to a high standard and everything you need in a home from home. Very comfortable and clean. Comfy beds and gorgeous modern bathrooms and kitchen. Dog friendly.

Foxtor barn is an excellent choice for a wonderful holiday. The cottage is heavenly with a beautiful sitting room/kitchen with superb views of the dartmoor, cosy sofas and a well equipped kitchen. We slept really well in very comfortable and large beds (my 2 m tall husband liked that very much) everything was spotlessly clean. We also liked the location, Dartmoor is right there, Lydford Gorge within walking distance, Tavistock nearby as well as several National Trust Properties. Last but not least we want to point out how helpful and friendly the owners were, always available for questions,thank you very much Katie.

Both myself and my friend recently enjoyed our 4 night stay at Foxtor Barn, which we booked for a crafting /relaxing time away. On arriving at the property, ( which was easy to find ) we were welcomed by surprise" goodies" left by the property owner. The Barn was Cosy , Clean , well equipped , furnished to a high standard and set in peaceful , beautiful location. Even the surrounding area was full of surprises too.... though definately needed to pack hiking boots. Highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future. Thankyou for making our stay perfect.

We had the perfect stay at Foxtor Barn. It was so tranquil with lovely views and walks on to the moors. We were given a fabulous welcome pack and the barn is well equipped and beautifully decorated. The garden has a handy parasol and picnic bench and there is a separate barbecue area which was a great addition.
