Fig Tree Cottage
In a tranquil spot, Fig Tree Cottage offers a haven to relax and recover from everyday life. Set in the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are 28 acres of fields to explore and you can meet the farm's Grey Face Dartmoor sheep, cattle, free-range chickens and ponies Princess and Poppy.
The largest of a terrace of three, this lovely barn conversion has its own patio and is bright and welcoming inside with some gorgeous period touches such as beautiful wooden beams and exposed stone walls. A warming wood-burner is tucked into the corner of the cosy sitting-room which also comes complete with a TV, DVD and CD player, meaning you'll be easily entertained in the evenings.
Next door you'll find the well-equipped kitchen, with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The beautiful wooden dining-table sits alongside a wall of gorgeous, exposed stone providing the perfect place for delicious family meals in the evenings. Downstairs you'll also find a handy cloakroom.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms to discover. Bedroom one houses a luxurious double bed and is kept light and bright thanks to the fabulous Velux window that sits between the exposed wooden beams that line the ceiling. This room also comes with a beautifully finished en suite shower-room where you'll find a modern shower perfect for refreshing yourself after a great night's sleep. Down the hall there are two delightful bedrooms that both house twin beds and are brilliant for adults and children alike. A family bathroom makes up the first floor accommodation.
Outside you'll find plenty of places to enjoy the gorgeous Devon sunshine with a beautiful courtyard housing the fantastic communal garden. Here you will find a beautiful log-burner and seating area, perfect for those summer evenings whilst the children play with the guests staying at neighbouring Horseshoe Cottage. Delightful seating also sits outside your front door, providing the perfect place to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining.
Next door is Horseshoe Cottage (2348) which is connected by a fully secured and soundproofed interconnecting door, that ensures you enjoy a private stay.

Mrs Chamberlin
Lovely spacious cottage, great for families, and good location for accessing both the north and south coast.
Mrs Harris
This cottage is in a great quite location. Character cottage. But truly needs some new furniture and beds . There is everything you need to cook ect. It's a shame that uncomfortable furniture and beds let it down
Mrs Shepherd
We really enjoyed our stay at Fig Tree cottage. It was large enough for our 2 combined families consisting of 3 adults and 3 teenagers. The cottage is very pretty and the outside area has great facilities including a logburner. The location meant that we were well placed for visiting lots of great areas in both Devon and Cornwall North and South Coast.
Mr McLean
If you're looking for a quiet holiday, Fig Tree cottage is ideal. It's a lovely cottage in a quiet and peaceful location, but with easy access to Tavistock, Plymouth, Launceston, Boscastle, Dartmoor and the coastal resorts of North Cornwall. Highly recommended.
mr Menear
It was great to return to Fig Tree and find it still in great condition with everything we needed provided.
Mrs Tinsley
Comfortable spacious cottage within easy access of Tavistock and Dartmoor . We stayed in February, am sure the garden would be a lovely place to relax later in the year
Mr Greenhill
A little disappointed with the standard of furnishings and comfort. Needs a good tidy up as it’s a shame as it fits in a perfect rural environment
Mr Field
Yes - useful.
Mrs Brown
A lovely cottage in a rural setting making it an ideal place to relax and unwind. Fig Tree Cottage has its own private yard at the front with table outside to enjoy morning coffee in the sun and BBQ in the evening. Quite close to Tavistock which is excellent for local food produce and goods. We have an electric car and we were able to use the charger within the farmyard to charge up as required (at an additional cost). A bonus was the complimentary bottle of Tuell Farm apple juice made by the owners, pack of biscuits and jug of milk in the fridge for our arrival). A good selection of games, books, DVDs for all the family.
Mrs Liddiard
Perfect for peace and tranquility and ideally situated to explore both coast and countryside
Mr Axford
Great cottage in a very peaceful location. We had a lovely time exploring the local area and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves at the farm.
Mrs Hartwell
The property was not cleaned to covid safe state as far as I was concerned. Some of our issues have already been brought to your attention. The sofas looked great in the photos but we're really uncomfortable and very hard, no heating upstairs which was freezing when you went to bed. We found an old bottle top in one of the kitchen draws and a lollipop stick down the side of the sofa. Some cushions on the kitchen chairs would be nice as you couldn't sit there for too long without going numb. It is a nice renovation in a good area but would not book it again
Miss Kill
Wonderful weekend staying in Fig Tree Cottage. We didn’t what to leave and looking forward to returning in the future. All three generations have lovely memories staying on the farm.
Dr Hardingham
Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely cottage. We've had a fantastic stay and hope to return soon.
Mr. Sheikh
This cottage is charming and secluded and only a short drive away from the moors and bike trails in the Tamar valley. The space was perfect for our small family and we really enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas and visiting nearby Endsleigh house for an afternoon treat.
Dr Farrance
Fig tree cottage was absolutely amazing. We loved the peace and quiet and the fact we could explore the fields at our leisure. The children had such a fantastic time exploring and all the animals were very friendly! The cottage itself was beautiful and very cozy. We really didn’t want to leave but will definitely be back!
