Situated close to the beating heart of world-famous Cowes, lies the pretty coastal village of Gurnard, where you will find this handsome coastal ground floor pet-friendly apartment, comfortably sleeping four within a stone's throw of the sea. Spacious and stylish, Sea Lights really has the 'wow' factor, tailor made for those who appreciate an energetic or relaxing holiday, with coastal walking and watersports on their doorstep. Customer reviews

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mrs Smith

Just amazing place,if you want a calm quiet place with all comforts of home Sealights is the place to go.

Mr Meaden

As we have a dog we tend to use self-catering rather than hotels and this is now our firm favourite. As the weather was not perfect, but better than expected, we spent time around the island but next time, weather permitting, we would be very happy to spend the time at the property in the lovely garden with the wonderful view. The property had everything we could possibly need and was very tastefully fitted out. We were aware of John, the owner, being available if we needed advice etc. Although we know the Island very well there is always something new to discover - The Isle of Wight is a wonderful holiday destination. We had a lovely break and hope to be back next year.

Mr Furnival

a lovely property metres from the solent. i was watching some gulls diving into the sea about 200 metres away when a dolphin burst out of the surface. one of the best properties i've stayed at.

Ms Mansfield

We had a truly wonderful week at Sea Lights. The property is spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The location and views are just delightful. John, the host, was so helpful with any questions and full of knowledge about the area and Island. Very, very difficult to leave! We look forward to returning. Dennis and Mari

Mrs Solly

If you would like a restful ,peaceful and comfortable few days ,this is certainly the place for you . Activities are close by as well ,so here you have the best of both worlds . The views are wonderful with lots of ‘boating’ or water activities to watch ,even in the rain ! We will certainly try to return .

Mr Caldwell

Sea Lights is a superb property and is exactly as described on the website. It is perfectly situated right next to the sea and has wonderful views over the Solent towards the mainland. The coastal path runs right past the entrance and it is a relatively easy walk into West Cowes (about 3 miles) though there is a steep up and down hill before reaching the promenade just east of the sailing club. A pair of binoculars is an essential packing item as from the garden there are good views of the shipping making for the entrance to Southampton Water as well as the many yachts making for Cowes. In good weather it would be tempting to sunbathe in the lovely garden, which is well-equipped with sun beds and chairs, but make sure not to miss the other attractions that the Isle of Wight has to offer.

Mr. Ley

Sea Lights Cottage sets a standard many should aspire to.

Mrs Law

Lovely setting overlooking the Solent with fantastic sunsets. Well equipped and maintained property, friendly helpful owner. Situated in quiet village but within easy drive of anywhere on the island. Would stay again if visiting the Isle of Wight.

Mrs Williamson

Would highly recommend this property. Who wouldn’t want to see the sea from their bed! Simply wonderful. John our honest a truly wonderful man Thank you

Mrs Darbon

The most wonderful property. Beautifully furnished in a very modern but comfortable way. Open plan with the most stunning sea view. Lovely welcome pack. Very clean. The owner lives en site but is such a nice man and very discreet. We loved our five days at Sea Lights and are already thinking about when we can go back. Would throughly recommend!

Mrs Rawlings

This property is extremely comfortable, has everything you need and would easily accommodate four adults. Even the toilet rolls weren’t restricted! The walk from this part of Gurnard along the shoreline to Cowes, is restricted by the tides but it is possible. The little beach is an added bonus.

Mr Horwood

Simply a wonderful location, this rental exceeded our expectations. The whole process from booking through to departure was seamless and professional.

Mrs Forbes

Excellent accommodation . Ideal for disabled people walking with a stick as everything flat.Good parking close to house. Beautiful access to sea and sea view from garden. Would highly recommend .

Mrs Lee

The cottage was 5* and the views were amazing - still pining for our seascape! Plenty of good places to eat and so many things to do and see.

Miss Sharman

Lovely property and garden right by the sea. Fantastic sunsets right on your doorstep.

Mrs Dudden

We had a lovely stay at Sea Lights, so peaceful with a wonderful view. The holiday home had everything we needed and we spent a lot of time on the beach. Our 5 year old didn’t want to leave!

Mr Pilkington

We have had a most enjoyable stay at Sea Lights. The accommodation was exactly as advertised…with the benefit of fabulous weather and a view that was amazing. Situated on the seafront, being able to watch all the sailing activity, wonderful sunsets and the advantage of a sea breeze made it a very tranquil and relaxing holiday. Plenty of outdoor space and seating. - and a lovely cool veranda to sit under. John, the owner, was available…and if you get the chance get him to tell you the history of the place… Highly recommend the accommodation…we will be back!! The whole process using Classic Cottages was stress free, and staff helpful and knowlegeable

Mrs Wilson

We had an amazing week in this beautiful apartment. All the amenities you would need for a great stay, including in our case wonderful weather! The direct views on to the Solent would be hard to beat and even if the weather forced you to be inside the abundance of windows from the open plan lounge/kitchen and main bedroom make you feel you are still experiencing the outside. Communication from Classic Cottages and owner were great. Hope to be back soon!

Mrs Seabrook

Lovely place to relax and unwind. Highly recommended.

Mrs McFall

We loved Sea Lights. We brought my elderly father who loves boats and anything to do with the sea. This is a lovely quiet area of West Wight and was the perfect choice for gazing out of the windows at the ever shifting scenery. Close by to and easy to drive to the Egypt Esplanade for more gazing. Laid back, gentle owner on hand for advice/guidance if needed. Very, very clean on arrival. Lots of outside space should the weather allow (which it did during our visit), with absolutely nothing barring the view of the water.

Mrs Silvester

We loved Sealights. It had everything we needed, inside and out in the garden.

Miss Whitehorn

Great location and fabulous view! Wonderful to be able to step from garden to seafront. Accommodation beautifully presented and very clean. Lovely, spacious living area.

Mrs Collins

A lovely property just off the beach. Very clean and comfortable, would definitely stay again.
