Beautiful place to stay with lovely hosts. A fully thought through shepherds hut with everything you could need. Views for miles in the stunning Welsh countryside. What more do you want! We hope to return soon!

What an excellent shepherd’s hurt! Well equipped, cosy, and a wonder to wake up in. The new shelter outside makes it even more enjoyable in colder, wetter, weather. A great way to spend new year! Will certainly be back in the summer months.

Ffion Shepherd's Hut is perfect if you are looking to escape life in peaceful countryside with stunning views. There is no wifi and very little phone signal so you really do get peace and quiet! But there's the Hafod Hotel half a mile away which serves lovely meals and has wifi! Denise and Trevor are fantastic hosts and the Hut is really well equipped and cleverly kitted out, making the most of the small space. There is even a torch and binoculars available, you will need/use both! There is lots to do within walking distance plus you can drive to other locations but the best part of our stay was the peace and down time we experienced.

This is by far the most idyllic location we have ever stayed. Thank you so much Denise and Trevor for creating such a perfect hideaway in this beautiful part of Wales. The accommodation was spotless and every detail was so beautifully considered. We really appreciated all the special little touches in the hut - the fire pit in the evening toasting marshmallows was a definite highlight. We very much enjoyed the breathtaking views and soaking up the sounds of the stream, birds and sheep was a welcome change from the noisy bustle of city life. We look forward to returning and enjoying even more of this little slice of paradise.

Perfect little hideaway with fantastic views across the valley. Had a lovely break walking around Devils bridge. Lots more to explore in the area so would definitely book again for our next trip.

Everything about the place is lovely. It's obvious that the owners really care about making everything just right. We loved the peace and quiet, lack of WiFi and phone signal, the big sky at night and the wildlife.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hut over New Year and would highly recommend. The location is fantastic and views stunning, the hut was exactly as described and had everything we needed, was very clean, warm and cosy and the bed was very comfortable! Hosts Trevor and Denise were fantastic and very helpful. We had very wet weather during our trip but it in no way effected the enjoyment as the hut was perfect to snuggle down in away from the elements and the sound of the rain outside was very atmospheric, I can imagine that this hut would be perfect in all conditions and we look forward to returning, maybe next time for a fire pit and starry skies (welsh weather permitting :-))

Denise and Trevor are the perfect hosts, so welcoming and helpful and really made the stay perfect for me. The hut is really well thought through, it has everything you need but no clutter, the bed is incredibly comfortable and the shower surprisingly powerful. It's an easy drive from Ffion to lots of places to walk but you don't need to drive to get to beautiful scenery, there are walks in... walking distance! It's also an easy trip to Aberystwyth if you need a supermarket or want fish and chips by the sea. I can't overstate how restful it is there and I will definitely be going back!

We had a relaxing and peaceful stay in the Sheperds Hut. It was a perfect getaway. Beautiful walks nearby. Great location. We would 100% recommend.

Ffion was the perfect base for us as we explored the beautiful countryside it is set in. The owners (Trevor and Denise) have ensured that anybody staying there will have everything they need. It is beautifully decorated and felt like a real home for us, despite only being there for two nights. It was also incredibly warm and cosy. We will definitely be back for another stay.
